where did our love go?

(he was never there)

He knew,

he knew the pain i went through,

he knew it all, all he had to say with the shower curtain between us was,

"you're such a victim"

nothing was ever there, a blank space in your heart

something that you wanted to steal,

was it ever all real?

Cowardly disposition, covered up with your insecurities,

I see the angles and the angel in you.

was i just a devil in your story?

A deep regret will flood you, baby

You've got me wondering where did all of our love go?

Tears in my eyes, one too many times

Who will take care of your soul now?

Who will never see the good parts of you like I have?

I believed in you, I prayed for you, I would've given you my everything

I saw the crystal vision, I never said a thing

our daughter running in your arms,

what is there now?

The tenderly man was only ever a cowardly man

Never taking responsibility, point the finger and shove it so deep inside of me,

you made me turn against myself

with your jealousy, lack of honesty,

you were never real.

you were a sweet vision,

a sweet kiss at night,

an empty nothing,

nothing.

nothing. nothing.

you're not there.

the man i loved was never there.

who were you ever really?

did i love you.. or nothing?

a figment in my head that could never be satiated

i'm not hard to love,

you're hard to crave with your nitpicking at my fingernails,

i'll pull them off with plyers and pretend that we're alright

if it's what you want,

i'll put up flyers looking for the man i fell in love with, but in the end,

it's tainted,

just like the ring of your step dad's that you wore who beat you,

you're just like him,

everybody has a role model, but honey, you're a master manipulator

really had me believing in something that never was, that never will be

welcome to the show of the cowardly man,

lack of emotional intelligence is the most unattractive thing about you,

the secret resentment and competition in your eyes for me,

i hope you heal, i hope you feel, i hope you walk and talk it,

i hope you feel better soon.

i hope you're okay.

i won't forget the tears in your eyes when you looked at with me love, telling me that you're so happy you found me,

i hold onto it,

i sleep with it,

tenderly in my heart,

that's how i like to remember you.

a part of me will always long for it.

but not for long, before i'm long gone.

i'll think of the tenderly man, who held me so delicately,

even for a second, if i could relive it,

after it all,

i would.

what you had and what you lost,

when everything is said and done,

you couldn't grow, i hope you think of me one day and wonder,

plead with yourself to find a way back to me.

i'll be married with kids, and you'll be a faint memory, lingering and mongering me..

i'll be missing you, the man that you were.
