Over at the Hamiltons house, cousins Ivy and Viola have been invited for a play date with Aspen and Reuben.

As soon as the girls left for the evening Persephone went in to labour, and the Hamilton QUADRUPLETS were born.

The surprising birth was too much for Persephone's body, and she began to slip from the mortal realm as she set her final child on the ground.

Knut pleaded with the grim reaper to spare his wife and won her back, so grateful that she did not leave him with six children to care for.

Once fully recovered, Persephone was back to the toy store, starting off with such a busy day they hit rank nine. Knut meanwhile was making the most of the solo bonding time with his new babies, two boys and two girls: Amos, Eden, Hazel, and Jude.

Despite having their world turned upside down with four more children in the house, Persephone and Knut are making sure to carve out time with their oldest boys, helping them with their homework and having movie nights. The boys are both A+ students and thriving.

If you recall from last round, Juniper and Azurys have been struggling as new parents to keep on top of household chores with two toddlers in the house.

When three colonies of roaches decided to move into the kitchen, the couple realised enough is enough, calling in the exterminator and finally taking some time to get their house in order. Azurys, not being the fondest of cleaning, took charge of the kids whilst Juniper set to fixing up broken toys and getting all those dirty bottles in the bin.

Following a hectic weekend of deep cleaning the house, Juniper and Azurys fell into a celebratory embrace, and in the following weeks Juniper began to feel those tell tale signs of pregnancy.

Sure enough, before long it was confirmed, and Juniper and Azurys began discussing their future as a family of...5? 6? more?

Juniper decided that she would like them to be married before this pregnancy drew to an end, wanting to make sure they had a good foundation on which to grow their family. Azurys, wanting the same, immediately proposed to Juniper with a ring he'd been keeping hold of, hoping to have had time to find a more romantic location before the twins had been born.

Azurys also started making time to get to the gym, the early years of Ivy and Viola's lives had left him a bit softer than before, and if he was going to handle a bigger family he knew he had to get himself in shape.

Not caring for a big ceremony, the couple married the following month at home, just the two of them.

And not long after, Ivy and Viola celebrated their birthdays.

Later that night, Juniper gave birth to two more neon orange babies, a son and a daughter. Chosing to follow the naming conventions of his people of sons being named according to the name of the father, Azurys named their son Azure. And, following no naming convention at all, Juniper chose the name Danica for their new daughter.

The Marches saw in the final months of summer with the birth of baby Sebastian, and the adoption of sweet cat Pheeba. Nevellin hopes to adopt at least a few more cats from around the neighbourhood, wanting to open a rescue in town.

One morning, whilst Sebastian slept and Nevellin tended to his garden (keeping an eye out for said stray cats) - he was caught up in a cloud of fertiliser and found himself feeling rather different after it disipated.

Rushing inside to tell Louisa what had happened, she was dumbfounded to find her husband afflicted with the same supernatural power as her father and grandmother.

Nevellin was surprised by her lack of panic over the situation. Louisa was convinced that, as they were now married, he must have somehow become part of the family's gifted line. She was, it must be admitted, rather jealous, in her mind it was only fair she become a plantsim like her relatives had.

In her eagerness to share in the gift, Louisa immediately took over the task of spraying down Nevellin's plants, and, to everyone's shock, it did not take long before she too entered a pesticide haze and returned a different state.

Exclaiming in her excitement to Nevellin, the two celebrated Louisa's transformation.

Their joy however, was short lived. As nights and days passed, the couple found it increasingly difficult to juggle childcare, employment and photosynthesising, finding themselves becoming too easily exhausted, and their son suffering the consequences.

In an effort to find a solution lest they lose their son, Louisa called over her father Ariel to hear his advice. Ariel just so happened to have an idea, and asked for one leaf from each of their crowns, before heading home with a plan concocting in his mind.

Returning a week later, Ariel gifted the couple a potion he and Una had created together. With his plantsim nature, and his wife's scientific capabilities, the two had concocted a tincture that, whilst not a cure, would help alleviate some of the more significant effects of the plantsim affliction.

He told the couple to share the potion between them, then spent some time playing with Sebastian whilst the parents soaked in the evening rays.

With Sebastian asleep in his room, Louisa led the way in drinking the potion her parents had prepared for them. Passing the beaker to Nevellin and feeling the potion move through her cells, she gasped as before her eyes they began to transform back into their old selves.

Their skin and hair returned to normal, but Louisa could still feel the chlorophyll in her skin, the desire to feed on the sunlight dulled, but present. And she just couldn't put her finger on why she loved this outfit so much she had no desire to change. She and Nevellin embraced, accepting their new lives in between worlds, hoping they would now be able to feel more present in their son's life.

In the excitement of all that had happened, Sebastian's birthday crept up quickly, and he was soon a toddler, looking to be an almost carbon copy of his father.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the couple, another toddler sat waiting in the vegetable patch.

March - Second Summer - Year Five

I feel like I need to mention that all of these plantsims are happening naturally and I haven't cheated any of them. Some how after playing with seasons for over a decade and never having a plantsim, we've had four in three generations. I can only think I must have some mod that is causing it, but if so I have no idea which one it is. I'm honestly baffled by the whole thing. My headcanon is that the Thorne family is blessed with the Plantsim genes (and those that marry in are too).

Initially I was just planning for this to be a simple round, with Louisa maybe getting a promotion and falling pregnant again, but the luck of the plantsim had different ideas! Honestly I was a little mad at first, this wasn't in my plan at all for this family. But, given Nevellin is a family sim, this gives me a chance to play with plantsim toddlers for the first time! (Ásta and Ariel never rolled the want to spawn one, but Nevellin did straight away!) - It's so fun to still be discovering and playing with new mechanics in this gave after 18 years! Gotta love sims 2!

At the Eglamour boys' place, Arnold has been enjoying the new hot tub immensely, inviting several of his love interests over to 'enjoy the spectacular view over the bay', and other equally enjoyable activities.

Eluned and Charlie have been dating on and off since they were teenagers, but have never been ready to commit to eachother. Eluned enjoys her independence, and her lovely little house, and Charlie is busy with his two businesses, barely having time to see her at all. Yet they always seem to come back to eachother in the end.

Speaking of the businesses, Charlie and Arnold have worked hard, and the music Store is now rank 5, and Lumelia now has enough economic power to build trade relationships with another region, unlocking our second city connection.

Back at Eluned's, in the weeks following her and Charlie's most recent date, she's been feeling more and more under the weather. Growing more concerned, Eluned turns to her niece Louisa, asking her to help allay her fears that she too could be pregnant.

Louisa, unfortunately, could do anything but, noting Eluned's lack of appetite and nausea as the exact symptoms she's felt during the early weeks of her pregnancy.

Eluned knew there was nothing for it, and headed straight to Charlie's the next day to discuss their situation.

To Eluned's surprise, Charlie took the news well, and if anything seemed very excited to find out he was going to be a father.

There was, of course, the issue of figuring our what was going to happen with their living situation. Eluned loves her home, but there is not enough space for a family. Meanwhile Charlie has the space, and the funds to develop the property, but Arnold was still living in his spare room.

Knowing it was only fair to include Arnold in their discussions, they asked him to join them. After explaining the circumstances, Eluned and Charlie raised the suggestion to Arnold that he move into Eluned's home as a tenant, giving him space to finally live independently after living with his brother all this time. Excited at the prospect of having more privacy for his many sleepovers, Arnold happily accepted the proposition, and, facing the reality that all their lives were about to change, plans were set in place.

Soon enough the day came for Eluned to hand over the keys to Arnold and finish moving her belongings over to Charlie's. After a final fish in the lovely stream on her property, Eluned waved goodbye to her home.

Charlie spent the next few days helping Eluned and her pets settle in. Squirt, having only just gotten used to Eluned's house, took some time to warm up to Charlie, but grows more confident everyday. The fish on the other hand couldn't care less.

Eluned couldn't help but be uncertain. Children had never been in her plan, and being so close to her elder years, she wondered if she and Charlie were making the right decision moving forward and changing their relationship in this way.

But, as the weeks passed and her pregnancy developed, the couple realised that maybe this is all they had ever truly wanted, and it had just taken most of their lives to realise it.

Alec Okuma has learnt a valuable lesson. Don't take a gamer girl to the arcade for a date, because she will ignore you in favour of playing DDR. It wasn't all bad though, and he managed to drag Ursa away from Frogger long enough to grab some photos and end on a kiss goodbye.

We had another burglary attempt and Ethan Raha managed to escape capture to thieve another day.

The round ended with the quads becoming adults (so many adult birthdays this round I did not expect this)

Ursa and Cyrus (both on the right), eager to fly the nest, have moved out together whilst Turin and Caspar stay home for now.

Delphina and Parker have been head over heels for a while now, and they are ready to take their relationship to the next level. Delphina proposed to Parker after a late night jam session at the Community Hall, and the two were married soon after in the beautiful garden of City Hall with family and friends around them. Father Pyrrhus was so excited for the union, hoping that a few more of his children would follow in Delphina and Persephone's footsteps and marry their partners whilst he was still around to see it.

Enid has been enjoying her stand up comedy gigs so much that she's hoping to make it big in the world of entertainment. But whilst she's just small fry running local gigs, she's also opened a private gym, using her other passion for fitness to work as a personal trainer.

Lorcan is instead set on pursuing a career in show business, and knowing there's no better place to start than in the big City, he and Pandora move into the downtown suburbs together where he can more easily chase his dream.

Now living alone, Eluned is missing the company of her friend Athena. To help ease the loneliness somewhat, she made friends with stray pup Squirt, who after a bit of tempting with treats has now moved in with Eluned. Realising that it is much easier to wash a dog in the bath, Eluned headed to the new bathroom store just down the road from her house and purchased a nice bath/shower combo from Axel.

Ram's restaurant is now level five and busier than ever, Ram had to bring Samson in as an extra pair of hands for the Saturday rush. Tips have been coming in thick and fast thanks to the great service at the restaurant.

The end of summer brought with it yet another birthday party, with the triplets aging in to adults surrounded by hoards of family and friends.

Until Lorcan is old enough to move out of his parents' home, Pandora is going to stay with hers, but the boys were ready to fly the nest.

Samson decided to join the military, and moved on to the military base with his girlfriend Katerina. As she isn't eager to join the military herself, Ram and Antonia have given Samson the money to help Katerina establish a small business on the base, a convenience store for the recruits which is still in construction.

Axel chose to stay a bit closer to home, moving across the river to a small house by the community hall. With his share of his parents' financial aid, he purchased and opened a bathroom store just around the corner.

Moon and Endel have been on-off boyfriends for most of their teens, but now that adulthood is on the horizon, they are ready to think about commitment and their future together. They decided to become official, finally, just before Moon's birthday, making a promise that they'd be together once they were both on the other side.

Now an adult, Moon is ready to start taking life seriously and make a living. Drest, now with four businesses under his belt, has need of more support, and with Moon already being capable at sales, restocking and using the cash register from his weekends supporting his father, it made sense for him to become the manager at the new kitchen store.

And teenage hormones are most certainly flying in town, as Icarus has also been taking time for some romance, and not being one to shy away from commitment like his brother, is already going steady with his girlfriend Nikki.

Nebula's first day opening the Floristry went swimmingly, thanks to the support of her brother and grandfather, the business was booming, and, although the service was a little slower than the patrons were used to under Seraphina, the business landed a good review and made a profit which is more than Nebula could have hoped for.

To celebrate their success, the three finished the evening with dinner at Ram's before heading home for a well earned sleep.

At the hospital, Victor has been spending a lot of overtime with new receptionist Opal. After dodging Hera with a lie about being called in to an emergency, Victor and Opal spent their afternoon in one of the more secluded wards where they knew they would not be found for a very long time.

Meanwhile, Nebula's after-school advances with Justin did not end so sweetly.
