1 ano e quase 7 meses depois, só terminei mesmo "o céu de pedra", nossa.... KkkkkkkKKK juro, parei de fazer lista em 2022. Só fui lendo o que eu queria e pronto. Bem melhor, alivia a pressão.
Fingers crossed 🤞🏾

Hey, guys!
Lately I've been using Scribd a lot to read books in English because the Brazilian Real to US Dollar rate exchange skyrocketed. Scribd's book list is a mix of famous and more indie books and there're plenty of audiobooks too!
If anyone is interested in Scribd, it would mean a lot to me if you joined through my link! You'll get two free months to start and I'll get one for every person who joins through my link!!
This is my invitation link: https://www.scribd.com/gae/8w98uk
If this service is not your thing, but you want to reblog and help a girl out, I'll be very happy too!
Thank you and happy reading 📚

É por essas e outras que nem fico triste pela demora do lançamento. A destruição é certeira :(
What are the possibilities of Matthew being happy in chain of iron
The possibilities of anyone being happy in a second book are always low.:)

I want to write. I have ideas. I open document. I type four of the worst sentences ever created in the english language. I daydream the rest of the scene. I close document.

Boa sorte pra mim 🍀

"Catch the Fire" by Sonia Sanchez
"(Sometimes I wonder: What to say to you now in the soft afternoon air as you hold us all in a single death?)
I say— Where is your fire?
I say— Where is your fire?
You got to find it and pass it on.
You got to find it and pass it on from you to me from me to her from her to him from the son to the father from the brother to the sister from the daughter to the mother from the mother to the child.
Where is your fire?
I say where is your fire?
Can’t you smell it coming out of our past?
The fire of living…not dying
The fire of loving…not killing
The fire of Blackness…not gangster shadows.
Where is our beautiful fire that gave light to the world?
The fire of pyramids;
The fire that burned through the holes of slaveships and made us breathe;
The fire that made guts into chitterlings; The fire that took rhythms and made jazz;
The fire of sit-ins and marches that made us jump boundaries and barriers;
The fire that took street talk sounds and made righteous imhotep raps.
Where is your fire, the torch of life full of Nzingha and Nat Turner and Garvey and DuBois and Fannie Lou Hamer and Martin and Malcolm and Mandela.
Sister/Sistah Brother/Brotha Come/Come
CATCH YOUR FIRE…DON’T KILL
HOLD YOUR FIRE…DON’T KILL
LEARN YOUR FIRE…DON’T KILL
BE THE FIRE…DON’T KILL
Catch the fire and burn with eyes that see our souls:
WALKING.
SINGING.
BUILDING.
LAUGHING.
LEARNING.
LOVING.
TEACHING.
BEING.
Hey. Brother/Brotha. Sister/Sista.
Here is my hand.
Catch the fire…and live.
live.
livelivelive.
livelivelive.
live.
live."

PEOPLE IN HISTORY as mentioned on LOVECRAFT COUNTRY:
Horace Taylor single-handedly killed dozens of white attackers on the south side of Standpipe Hill after most of his fellow Greenwood residents abandoned the fight in order to save their homes and families. The story told is that Taylor braced himself with his peg leg while fending off white attackers alone for more than six hours that night.
The most prominent Tulsan killed in the massacre was Dr. A.C. Jackson, a 40-year-old surgeon christened the most able Negro surgeon in America by the Mayo brothers (of Mayo Clinic fame). According to Jackson’s white neighbor, Jackson had raised his hands to surrender to a group of whites when two of them shot Jackson dead in what the neighbor called “cold-blooded murder."
A white couple named Merrill and Ruth Phelps hid and fed black victims in the basement of their home for days. The Phelps home, which still stands, became something of a “safe house” for black Tulsans who had managed not to be imprisoned by the white authorities.
Commodore Knox is believed to be the last victim of the Tulsa massacre.
