As he powers up the lab, JARVIS greets him with the familiar British lilt, “good morning, sir, it seems like you’ve only had an hour of sleep, do you think it’s smart to work in the lab right now?” The AI asks in a condescending tone.

“Who are you? The sleep police?” Tony snarks out as he walks over to his work station, he probably looked like an walking corpse with how much the bags under his eyes had darkened over the past month, his skin paler than his usual tanned healthy skin, it was the effect of lack of sleep and working in the lab without food breaks and sleep breaks until he succumbs to a thirty to forty minute sleep, then he wakes up sweaty, panting, shaking, eyes wide and bloodshot, until he calms down, feeling the cool air conditioning, the scent of his lab, the cool refurbished floors— he’s safe, in a way, not being subjected to torture.

And that's saying something because I have read thousands of books in my life, but that took the cake.
