Looking forward to our first dress rehearsal for Rossinis short opera „l‘occasione fa il ladro“ on stage of Munichs Prinzregententheater. Tech rehearsals are finally completed and orchestra rehearsals can begin again soon. Its our first big opera production after the long months of the covid lockdown and we cant wait to perform again for a real audience

Its Charity Event time after the long covid break: we were glad to host a charity gala dinner for our sponsors on stage of the Prinzregententheater in Munich. Nearly 5 hours of excellent food and music provided by our students. “If music be the food of love, play on”.

Today we celebrate with all stagemanagers and showcallers from around the world. Its a rare chance to celebrate, to roll the drums and get together at theatres and stages in different countries. During the pandemic lockdowns lots of stagemanagers were able to connect and came closer than ever before, lets hope that someday we will all meet in person

Bayreuther Festspiele 2021:

Had a great time working on the final revival of The Meistersinger von Nürnberg directed by Barry Kosky at the 2021 Bayreuther Festspiele. Despite of the strict covid rules for the festival it was a pleasure to hear the thunderous applause at the end of each performance.

The Season is over:

The season at the Prinzregententheater in Munich is officially finished by now. We had hectic and problematic times since march 2020 when the cultural lockdown started. Luckily we got the chance to do some shows and concerts for a selected audience in July. Lets hope things are looking up when we return in September. The Show must go on!!!

And we were back at work:

After weeks of lockdown we have started rehearsing again. We had a great time doing three performances of PARADIES FLUTEN on stage of the Prinzregententheater even if only 36 audience members were allowed. Well we were sold out for each show 😉

And then came Corona/Covid:

Because of the Corona lockdown in march 2019 our production of Brittens A MIDSUMMER NIGHTSDREAM had to be cancelled. We made it to the first dress rehearsal but the beginning shutdown in germany made any rehearsing impossible, so we had to stop immediately during two orchestra rehearsals. Who knows maybe we will open this production someday

AMERICAN IDIOT transfers to Innsbruck:

The munich production of Greendays AMERICAN IDIOT transferred to the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck in december 2019 and was a tremendous audience pleaser. Of course I was there to support the Innsbruck team to put the show on after a short run in Munich

In 2019 the Bayreuth Wagner Festival invited me to join them as the stagemanager for the opening production of TANNHÄUSER. I had a really great summer season working at the famous Festspielhaus surrounded by lots of crazy Wagnerians
