If you're looking for a fic to be written or a story of yours to be edited, please consider supporting me!

Been binging your jinmao fics and I absolutely love everything you’ve written. You get them to a T and the scenarios/what ifs you're making are fueling my KnH drought.
Have you ever thought of how their dynamic will be IF Lakan and Fengxian got married ang Maomao had a complete family from the start, including Luomen, and Jinshi as the original crown prince with Ah-Duo as the empress? Basically a huge WHAT IF AU. Throwing it here because this has been in my brain and I don't have someone to share it.
Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you're enjoying my story so much :)
If Maomao was raised by Lakan & Fengxian and Jinshi was crown prince... I feel like, at the core of it, the jinmao relationship would be similar to canon. Even if Maomao never became Consort Gyokuyou's lady-in-waiting (since it might be a bit politically dicey to have the daughter of the neutral faction's leader working for one of the Emperor's consorts), I can still see her figuring out the face powder poisoning and catching Jinshi's attention that way. And while it's great for her family that she's got the crown prince's attention, that doesn't mean she'd want it. Maomao will always be Maomao, even if she was raised by her biological parents. This very pretty and powerful man suddenly develops an interest in her and her basic reaction is "so??? he's annoying"
One thing I can see being different is Maomao maybe not being so quick to talk down/back to Jinshi. Until she feels like they're on friendly terms, she'd likely not risk her and her whole family's lives on calling the crown prince a worm to his face. As much as Jinshi would actually really like her to.

sharing another preview of my jinmao fic to celebrate making it to chapter 5!!
“I didn’t know you could make mistakes with your medicine,” Jinshi says.  “Your products are usually of superb quality.”
Maomao feels a bit tizzy under the praise.  She holds up a few of the usable products.  “I did make some good ones.  This one is an antipyretic.  You will likely experience some fevers, so I made it to be easy on the stomach.  These are all analgesics, but this salve can’t be used until your skin heals over.  And this is the anti-inflammatory drug I’m very proud of!  It took a lot of trial and error to get the ratio just right, because otherwise I would make a pill that doesn’t keep its shape or it’d be too bitter to swallow.  But now it’s perfect.”  Maomao holds up the small box with gusto.  “Oh!  You will be needing these soon, so please excuse me,” she says as she climbs over him.
Some nobles’ beds are accompanied by a set of drawers, typically placed behind the pillows.  Jinshi has one of these, and she places several of her usable medicines on top, lined up so she will be able to immediately tell which is which.  She pulls out a few sachets of herbs from her robes and places them more towards her side of the bed, for easy access.  She moves to get out, but Jinshi catches her by the sleeve.
Maomao sits on her knees.  “What is it?” she asks.
He looks up at the medicine, then at her.  “You’re…working very hard.”
“Of course I am.”  She always gives it her all when she dedicates herself to something.
His hand moves from her sleeve then, cautiously, around her hand.  She allows the hold, relaxes her hand so her fist isn’t pressing up against his palm.  He seems at a loss for words.  Maomao really wants to get back to her salvage pile.
“Thank you,” he eventually arrives at.  Jinshi offers her a shy, abashed smile.  “It’s easier…knowing you’ll be by my side.”  As he says these words, an intangible force seeps from him, an invisible fog that fills every space between them and cloys at her hands, her face.  She doesn't know what to call it, but she has felt it, time and again, when Jinshi looks at her like he looks at her now.
He leans in, a request, an invitation.  She stays still, her hand wrapped by Jinshi’s.  He kisses her, careful, against the corner of her lips and, when she doesn't object, on her mouth proper.  Inexperience shows itself in the clumsy way he tries to prolong the kiss, a desperate press that doesn't get him anywhere, so she decides to teach him something she learned during her so-called courtesan training.  An easy technique, meant to tell a customer, ‘kiss me more’.  She slots her lips around his bottom one, guiding it past her gums and between her teeth.  She sucks and bites at his lower lip, careful not to hurt him, and he responds eagerly, following her every move and instruction with enthusiasm.
A knock comes at the door.  Maomao hurries away from the alluringly soft mouth and back to her pile of medicines.  Jinshi, hanging his head, calls to the visitors, granting them entry.

so I'm writing a multi chap JinMao fic right now and I want to share this preview~
She holds up a berry for Jinshi, who stares at her for a few seconds too long. Just as Maomao realizes that she has offered to feed him, his teeth delicately take the red fruit, soon followed by soft lips that close around Maomao’s fingertips. Maomao is frozen, all her attention drawn to the glistening bits of saliva on her, while Jinshi just opens his mouth in anticipation for more.
“I’m not feeding you,” she protests.
“You are,” Jinshi quickly rebuffs. She swears, he only remembers his position when he can use it to make her do annoying things. He parts his jaws again, waiting.
Maomao complies by shoving a fistful of berries into his mouth.
Jinshi chokes. “What was that for?” Despite the mess, he laughs and begins picking up the berries that fell on him.
Maomao gets up on the bed and returns to where she was laying, back to Jinshi’s working left side. She offers the bowl and he happily keeps eating with his left hand.
She realizes then that this is the first time she’s spoken with Jinshi in awhile. They didn’t speak at the feast. Before then, they hadn’t seen each other for over a week. A pang of something like loneliness afflicts her chest.
“How are you feeling?” she asks, her voice much quieter than intended.
“The pain is receding,” Jinshi reports. He takes a goji berry and holds it up to Maomao’s mouth. “And you?”
She takes the berry with her teeth alone. “You don’t need to worry after me. You’re the patient.”
“Right…” The reminder seems to deflate Jinshi. He settles against the mountain of pillows. Even laid up as he is, he is lovely to look at. “All that really happened.” Jinshi grimaces. Maomao can’t begin to imagine what he had to endure, how much pain he was flooded with, what terrors will surely haunt him from now on. “I must have put you through a lot. I’m sorry.” It seems, though, that his mind remains preoccupied with her, even now.
“I told you not to worry after me.” Maomao takes a few berries for herself. She hears him chuckle softly.
Together, they finish the bowl. For once, Maomao wants to talk more, yet nothing comes to her mind. Jinshi, meanwhile, appears more tired with each bite. By the time there’s only a handful of dried berries left, he’s nearly asleep again. Maomao takes the last bites and goes to leave the bowl with the other fruits. She blows out the candles and considers her next step.
She should sleep on the chair or the floor, now. But she doubts she would have heard him earlier, had she been so far away. No, beside him is best. Maomao slips under the blanket, nice and warm beneath its protective cover.
“Staying?” Jinshi mumbles.
“I’m staying,” Maomao whispers.
“Forever?” he asks like it’s a joke.
“Until you’re better,” she answers cooly.
