Jinshi and Maomao are both, fundamentally cats.

But they are two very different kinds of cats.

Maomao is a feral forest cat that once introduced to humans only knows how to show affection by affectionately saying "Fuck you"

Jinshi is a purebred of some form or another that has been groomed and cared for from the moment it was born.

This is of course without going into either of their respective traumas and based solely off of their vibes, how they react to each other and other people.

Because Jinshi fully expects everyone around him to pay attention, that is a pampered house cat. Maomao would rather die than have more attention on herself than necessary, that is absolutely a feral cat.

And that is why I love seeing the two of them together and their relationship. Because due to prolonged exposure to Jinshi, Maomao sees there are more ways to show you care than just affectionately screaming "Fuck you!" And likewise, Jinshi gets to see that sometimes being more aggressive and selfish isn't always a bad thing.

The pink color of the sakura flowers, which breaks the neutral colors in the painting, makes it distinctive. The picture looks cold, and Maomao and Jinshi appear as if they are in the winter season, so the sakura breaks our thoughts and takes us to the spring season. Therefore, there is a mixture between the two seasons, based on the colors white and pink.. Also, Maomao's hair color, the mixture of neutral colors is degraded, so we see it as green...even Jinshi's hair...evidence of The painter's creativity in his painting!

Picturing Jinshi not leaving Maomao’s side after the ceremony incident. I can imagine Suiren having to almost pull him away from Maomao’s bedside, while medics are trying to stitch her leg and bandage her face.

“Be careful.” He would chastise as he watches from a few feet away.

At the end of it all and she’s finally resting without tending to, I could see Gaoshun having to urge him to his own quarters to get some rest of his own.
