EDIT: Mercury is stationed direct on Jan 1st, 2024. The source I used which stated it was in retrograde until the 18th had a typo.

The Outbursts of Everett True was a comic strip that ran in papers from 1905 to 1927, wherein the aforementioned Everett True regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude. Men have not only been taking up too much room on public transport for about as long as public transport has existed, but the people around them have been irritated about it for at least a hundred years. The next time someone tries to claim that manspreading is a false phenomenon, please direct them to this strip so that Everett True can correct their misconceptions with an umbrella upside the head.

Have you ever offered memories? Maybe an old picture found while cleaning up, of a trip you enjoyed, a loved one, or simply yourself as a kid! Or perhaps an old drawing, or an object (book/toy and the like) which sparks nostalgia. If you seek to deepen your connection with a God, this is a wonderfully fulfilling ritual to engage in. If it’s an object you’re getting rid of, why not put it up on your altar for a day or two? Share the memory with your God/Gods, and tell them about it before you let it go!

alright, who wants to do a little experiment together?
seven nights (or days if you're diurnal I guess) you're gonna go to your Dionysos altar, or whatever spot you wanna use. you're gonna light a candle, maybe some incense. maybe you put out some wine or another offering if you wanna go apeshit.
you're gonna read the prayer to Dionysos for discovery. it's a powerful prayer, I've been using it for years, whenever I'm ready to get unstuck. it takes under a minute to read, so time should not be an obstacle, even if reading is all you have time for. seven nights in a row you're gonna read that prayer out loud at your altar and then we're gonna see if anything interesting happens.
who wants to play?

How I Practice Death Work
Please keep in mind that this is a post about my own practice. My relationship with death work is intertwined with my individual path and is highly personal. What is written here may not apply to everyone.
Through working with "Death Energy"
Death Energy as I define it is simply energy sourced from things associated with Death. Some examples of this include dead leaves, rotting wood, snow, compost, soil taken during winter, ash, and plants associated with Death. I prefer to use the root of the plant because I associate it with the spirit world/underworld.
Some practitioners like to use bones and grave dirt in their workings. This isn't something that I do often because I believe that these things are tied to specific spirits and in my practice it's important to let the dead rest, with some circumstances being an exception. This is by no means true for everyone and I think it's fine to take graveyard dirt or bones as long as they're ethically and respectfully sourced.
I find that death energy works great for transformative magic, for endings and rebirth, and for connecting with certain spirits. I'm sure it could also be used in baneful workings.
Through Mundane Action
From the outside, how I practice death work probably seems very ordinary. I take in roadkill from my street and bury it, remove dead animals from yards and set the corpses somewhere quiet. I compost. I clean for a recent widow and bring her food and gifts, offer support and guidance for grieving loved ones, cook for them. These are expressions of love and forms of veneration, which helps me connect with the dead on a deeper and more intimate level.
Through Veneration and "Safe-Passing"
This includes building altars and leaving offerings for ancestors, passed loved ones, pets, and even local wildlife.
In terms of helping spirits pass on, I have a specific incantation/prayer that I recite for dead animals that I pass while driving. I encounter mostly animal spirits because my practice centers around the local flora and fauna. I will also hold burials and mourning periods, leave offerings, and conduct spirit communication when the situation calls for it. When I'm performing more complicated rituals of this nature, I'll enlist the help of my local/personal spirits.
Through Compassion For The Living
Life and Death are interwoven and are of the same cycle. If I kill bugs and set out glue traps, will the local insect and mouse spirits want to work with me?
Some of the things that I do to show compassion for the living include helping animals in need, growing native plants and rewilding my yard, giving money to strangers when possible, gifting things to my friends and neighbors, cleaning, cooking, or doing favors for loved ones. I believe that what we do in this world reflects how we interact with and are perceived in the spiritworld/otherworld.
Through acknowledging Grief and Fear
Believe it or not, I'm actually terrified of death and dying. My path to deathwork came to me through a time of intense grief and through the acceptance of mortality.
Reflecting on death, talking about it openly with loved ones, and even thinking about what I would want for my own burial and funeral are things that have helped.
For grief, I leaving offerings and create altars, speak fondly to/of passed loved ones, and let myself feel what I need to feel. I don't have much more to say on this matter, but I think it's worth mentioning for those who are apprehensive about death work for these reasons. You're not alone.
I hope this resonated with some people. Once again, all of this is personal and nothing written here is universal. I write because I love to share.

Moving Magic for a Happy Home 𖤣𖤥𖠿𖤣𖤥⋆ ˚。⋆˚
Ensuring that my home is a secure and comforting environment is very important to me, so the process of moving can be very overwhelming and make me feel insecure im a taurus moon and i have a lot of stuff. here are some tips for the moving witch!
Tumblr media
Before you move...
Prepare boxes by cleansing them , setting up wards (i like to use smoke/incense for this), writing sigils inside them- things of that sort.
Once your boxes are ready, clean and cleanse your things before packing them as to not carry any old or stagnant energy with you when you move. This also includes going through and maybe even getting rid of some things.
Clean and cleanse any remaining energy in your space to renew it for the next owners. This includes taking down wards and saying final goodbyes.
Tumblr media
When you move...
CLEAN and CLEANSE your new space thoroughly to rid any lingering energy from past owners.
Before moving your things in, set up wards to block any energies that may still be attached to your belongings
Make your new space feel more comfortable by creating a fun and soothing environment while you unpack! Play your favorite music, make the place smell nice, add little homey touches to break the place in
remember to prioritize and take care of yourself 🪴

I don’t really have a religion per say I’m just seeing how long I survive and hoping for the best at the end. But my cousin is a pagan witch, she doesn’t talk much about it but she has candles specific to the deities she’s working with. Currently she’s working with Apollo and I think I just witnessed a god tell my cousin to go to bed.
She lit his candle after putting some flowers next to it and said, “I’m gonna be up late working.” Right as she did the candle got really fucking big and kept flickering before down the hall I heard her bedroom door creak open and bump against the wall. We were both just standing there in silence and my cousin goes, “looks like I’m going to bed then. I think he wants me to skip the sunrise.” And she fucking walked off?! And the candle calmed down to a normal size again?!
I’ve been sitting on the couch staring at this fucking candle for 10 minutes and my cousin blew it out, said goodnight to him then to me and went to bed!! And all I can think about is oh my god my girlfriend and I have had sex in front of those!! ~Bambi

I don't know who needs to hear this but...
The Gods love you.
They love you when you smile.
They love you when you cry.
They love you even if you have a hard time noticing them.
They love you and are with you.
They love you both when you're feeling down or when you're feeling like your on top of the world.
They love you even if you haven't prayed in a while or can't pray.
They love you when you haven't made any offerings in a while or can't make them.
They love you even if you forget about festivals or don't participate in them.
They love you when you reconstruct in your practice and they love you when you don't.
They love you even if you have doubts.
They love you when you can't get out of bed.
They love you when you're batteling your own thoughts.
They love you when you find it hard to take care of yourself.
They love you when you've fallen and they'll help you get back up.
They love you when you struggle and they see you.
They love you when you think you are not enough but you are enough to them just as you are.
They love you, value and recognise you as a beautiful, unique being that you are.
The Gods love you even when you can't love yourself.

At the border between Slovenia and Croatia peculiar ritual with figure covered in greenery is known. Such figure is followed by several singers and together they form a procession that goes from door to door preforming songs and receiving various gifts. Nowadays, ritual is performed at st Georg’s day (Jurjevo) but it’s pre-Christian roots can be easily observed.
Text: Zelen Juraj došal je, pisan Vuzam prošal je, Iz zelene gore u to ravno polje.
Donesal je, donesal, pedalj dugu travicu, Pedalj dugu travicu, lakat dugu mladicu.
Juraj nije svaki dan već u ljetu jedan dan! Darujte ga, darujte Jurja zelenoga! Translation: Green Gorge has come, colorful Easter has passed, From the green hills into the plain fields. He has brought, span* long grass Span long grass, ell* long sapling. Georg isn’t every day, it is a specific day of the year! Bestow him, bestow the green Gorge! *both are archaic measurements and those should be English equivalents.
