can i be very fucking serious for a second. a marinette villain/antihero arc is something that is not explored nearly enough by the fandom given the entire point of the show is that "she makes a mistake every episode". and yeah, she learns from it slowly and surely, but what if she learned the wrong lessons? she is shown to be constantly struggling between her common sense and her impulses, her responsibility and her vulnerability. what if she blindly followed her gut with the belief that she's doing the right thing? what if she gave into that vulnerability and had to deal with the dire consequences of never picking herself back up again? she and adrien are absolutely evenly matched with how impulsively they can act despite the potentially world-ending consequences of them doing so. i want more dark marinette!
