Another one that I didn’t change much. The fox is one of the ones that’s hard to mess up much like the cat. It has a simple color palette and recognizable features. Rena’s canon design is one of my favorites in the show because it just works. I did change a couple things, for one I gave her some soles to her shoes and some little paw markings. Foxes are the only species in canidae that have retractable claws (as far as I can remember) so I of course had to give her claws and I’m actually offended that she was deprived of them in the first place. I also changed her jacket to not have the white going up it but to layer over the white. I changed her eye color to an amber gold color and my favorite change her mask I made a little more foxy. I also gave a subtle gradient to her suit to make it a bit more interesting.

(Also I forgot to add designs to her flute so just ignore that.)

I love Rena and it was fun drawing her.

Trixx's True Form

So I've been on a bit of a Trixx kick lately. So I decided I might as well give them a true form like Tikki and Plagg.

(Of course, click for better quality since Tumblr chews up art)

Decided to use a minor headcanon and interpret Trixx as more of the kwami of perception rather than just straight illusions. So since they embody perception, I decided to give him extra ears, noses, hands, and so many eyes and mouths so they have extra senses. Also, I just love giving extra mouths and eyes. I guess it still does work if you prefer him as the kwami of illusion rather than perception.

Did I go overboard with the eyes and mouths? Maybe. Do I love the design? YES!

Also, a chance to practice with the symmetry tool. Which was hella useful here.

In the future Lila could have a redemption arc, of course now she is a villain but she could have it, in that case I think she would be a better carrier of the fox than Alya since without a doubt the theme of illusions and lies are her specialty, and Let's remember that this concept is handled by ZORRO, I feel that Lila is more capable, more prepared for that.

Next I present Trixx and Luz:

So, biggest thing with Trixx's design is I made him look more like a traditional red fox. Now, onto the rest of the info.

Trixx and Luz:

Trixx drops the illusions concept and becomes the kwami of deception paired with Luz, kwami of honesty. These are by far the most paradoxical pairing. What is truth? What is a lie? What is fact? What is opinion? Not even they truly know.

Trixx is a playful sprite that loves all kinds of mischief. He often chooses holders who have lost the light in their hearts and hopes to reignite it. Only once does he see success is when he offers his jewel.

Trixx's preferred food is grapes. His jewel is still the fox necklace, just reversed. Reason being that's just how I draw it.

Luz is cool, collected, and a logical thinker. He gathers all the facts he can, separating it from falsehoods. He often chooses investigative types for his holders.

Luz's preferred food is canned sardines. His jewel changes between ring and hair tie, depending on the au.

"The legend of the Mystic Fox"

// Miraculous Spiritual AU //

Alya Césaire, a curious young girl with an adventurous soul who dreams of following in the footsteps of her grandfather Frank Césaire, a renowned explorer who, on her 16th birthday, inherited his two most precious possessions, an old book and a necklace shaped fox tail which was a gift from his wife.

The book was her travel journal, object in which he took it upon himself to detail the wonders of the mystical world that lay hidden in plain sight. The old man remarked that although it did not seem like it, the book kept many secrets, but it was still incomplete and for this reason he gave it to his granddaughter with the opportunity to finish what he started in his youth.

As for the necklace, it came with a terrible announcement, a magical creature called trixx came out of its interior and, in search of answers, her grandfather explains that the place where her grandmother came from is in danger due to an evil that threatens the balance of nature in the mundane and magical world,so he asks his granddaughter to take a trip to defeat that evil.

This is how Alya would embark on a fantastic journey driven by a sense of wonder and a noble goal that would lead her to discover her own origins.
