Transphobes hate us whether or not we go by neopronouns. You are not quirky or cool because you hate neopronouns & the people who use them.
We will never meet their expectations, so accusing certain trans people as being the problem makes you just as bad as transphobic people.
You don't have to understand it to be respectful. Calling someone "xe/xem" or "bun/bunself" isn't going to make you combust into a million pieces. As long as they aren't hurting anyone, let them live.

The government really hates people who didn't gain their disability(ies) from working (not that they already don't hate disabled people as a whole)
Like damn sorry my chromosome got mutated in the womb Mr SSI and now I'm in a walker by the start of my twenties
I tried to work my homie, I tried

I usually automatically assume anyone who has this take about shit like rick and Morty don't themselves actually get the point ngl
I don't know anything enough about the new album to speak regarding that but I do want to take the opportunity to talk about this Rick and Morty superiority thing
Pretty much all good shows I've seen are funny and palpable to anyone, but have something deeper going on
Those who think you need high IQ to understand the scifi cartoon probably haven't taken time to notice the actual plot or the struggles the characters go through
I love Rick and Morty kinda because I'm autistic honestly, I see so much of myself in Rick when he has his moments. He struggles with who he fundamentally is as a human, while simultaneously seeing himself as something almost inhuman, negatively so. That 'high IQ' everyone boasts about is the very core of his character arc and severe depression we get glimpses of
But on the same token, if you search too hard for the hidden meanings in media, sometimes you completely miss the point entirely and misinterpret, or end up unable to enjoy the media as it is. The show itself wasn't even made to cater to the 'highly intelligent'
Some things don't have hidden/deeper meanings. Some times you don't NEED to get the deeper meaning. If the plot goes over your head, that doesn't really matter so long as you enjoyed the media anyways and had a good time. Everyone is going to pull something different from what they consume. Our personalities and experiences shape how we interpret things. Not everyone even watches for the plot anyways,
Tumblr media
I don't need 200IQ to relate and find humour in the Butter Robot™ lmao
Tumblr media
this is the best album release of all time because where else are you going to get unironic takes like this and then even get a few hundred people to agree with it

I fucking love drawing art of my sona, he’s trans and a representation of me, and drawing the flag is sick as hell too. It’s kinda the only positive experience I’ve had lately but I hope it helps
Trans art is what keeps me sane most days, though it really sucks I can't get most of my visibly trans art posts to stay up 🫠
Been thinking about making little comics with my sona that are trans related actually ^^ I've got the lineart for one so far

I would appreciate it if fellow trans homies could drop positive trans experiences they've had in my inbox. Ask, submission idk idc.
I may not be able to respond to them all (I'm socially stunted so chances are it'll be because I couldn't figure out how to word my response and got anxious) but I'm having a real rough time trying to stay positive myself about being trans. I keep finding myself thinking "I wish I could've just been happy as a girl"
But I wasn't, and couldn't be happy that way. I couldn't even keep neutral. I no longer have it in me to parade as a false persona.
Because of that, and my struggle to pass, it's been real rough just trying to get out of the house. Needing the bathroom is always inevitable..
I have almost no positive experiences relating to my transness myself, primarily just traumatic ones

The fetishization of Japanese and Koreans is pretty disgusting
My boyfriend happens to be Japanese, it's only around a 4th but it's enough for him to have some visible features
We've had 'friends' try to play homewrecker, they full on admitted to me they fetishized Japanese men thinking hee hee hoo hoo I must too, I at least USEd to watch anime and my partner is Japanese, so I have to right?
Ha no, get removed (they give a really shit name to poly too tbf I can't stand them; being hostile towards monogamous people for being 'cheaters by default' when using polyamory just as an excuse to cheat/mess with other people's relations. I'm settled in a monogamous relationship, but I'm ambiamorous so they tried using that to force me to open my relationship. I'm glad my relationship is relatively healthy and we communicate, because one of them at one point started separately hitting on us trying to shag. We had both already turned him down repeatedly over the course of like, 2+ years, before we even became official ourselves and continuing shortly thereafter.)
Anyways, after a glimpse into the type of people they are,
What they initially didn't know was I fell in love with my partner before I even knew he was Japanese. Homie didn't bring it up until after the man took my v card. I didn't ask until later on out of curiosity because I like learning about people's history and heritage, if they choose to permit me the knowledge.
I guess they must have misinterpreted my personal appreciation for Asian culture my father bestowed upon me while young. I was taught how to use chopsticks as a toddler by my dad homie, I didn't just learn in an attempt to pick up Japanese dudes (which they genuinely assumed). Realistically, the common response to me, a white guy being fluent with chopsticks, is just surprise and a bit of innocent praise on occasion if they really don't expect it. My partner himself just thinks it's funny I'm better with chopsticks than he is.
Completely wrong person to try fetishizing them with though lmao, it disgusts me. They tend to forget they're humans and not like, toys. I hate that the kpop/jpop industries often treat them that way publicly, makes people think they're right for dehumanising them.

Got the closest to being another statistic I've been in a good while
Had security called on me for trying to take a piss in a public bathroom and if my partner hadn't followed security in to put an end to the harassment, I worry what may have happened
Women outside the bathroom yelling at me, men in the bathroom staring down my stall after I told them I was aware of what bathroom I was in. They started shit talking me together outside when the bathroom finally started to empty so I was stuck in there longer.
Security banging on my door 5 minutes later while I'm already having a panic attack, scared to leave my stall. My partner had to shield my door until security fully backed off and it was safe enough for me to leave
Thing is, Nevada has protections regarding bathrooms, not even a cis woman can legally be kicked out of a men's room. I would know, I dealt with a transphobic park security officer out here once taking out his disdain for the laws on me because I called regarding a bunch of naked people doing meth in the bathroom while kids were on the playground.. next to a middle school....
"it's for the safety of the children!" Absolute bullshit, it's to get the public to do the dirty work for you, but blood is still on your hands.

If using dude/bro/guy ect is your lingo in a typically gender neutral way, it's incredibly easy to correct yourself for someone who asks
You know what term usually works great as a replacement though if you want to change how you approach people period, homie has been very effective for myself
My sister? My homie. Random person trying to start an argument in the comments? My homie. My transfem bestie prefers it, pre transition us used dude/bro/guy a lot with each other, and so when she came out to me is when homie started becoming a core part of my language instead.
Why do some people get so offended when trans women say “hey can you please not call me dude/bro/man?”
Don’t try to justify/defend yourself by going “ohh I use them gender neutrally!” and then just ignoring that it doesn’t matter if you think it’s gender neutral - if someone doesn’t want to be called certain terms you should respect that!
You just gotta go “I’m sorry for calling you that, I’ll stop using those terms to refer to you.”
It’s really simple. Most trans girls I know aren’t gonna be mad if you call them those stuff once and then after being corrected apologize and stop calling them those terms.

They just mad they're finding out women enjoy sex
Legit tho isn't it odd they're labeling women who enjoy porn with something associated with mental illness to paint them in a bad light
When a lot of dudes also are like, my girl doesn't need to orgasm? She'll get pregnant anyways? Women can't/don't (need to) orgasm?
People are calling women who read ‘spicy’ novels porn addicts on TikTok and when women responded “um. That’s not what addiction is.” People are going “the first symptom of addiction is denial” like okay buddy.

We need to make a tag for trans people to speak amongst our own community, bc right now the trans tags fucking suck. Theyre too full of pornbots advertising (stolen) images of women with links that will infect your computer with viruses you cant even dream of. I'm not talking about the users who just happen to post hole btw, I mean the flood of unmanned bots.
And they all crosstag shit that has nothing to do with being trans. No matter what tag you go in- trans pride, trans positivity, ftm, mtf, transmasc, transfem, nonbinary- it's all flooded with spam.
I think I'm gonna start using a new tag, and I hope y'all will join me so it makes it easier for us to all find each other and read real input from living people, not just bots.
Maybe #transblr? The tag doesn't seem to be commonly in use, with the latest post being several months old at this point. It's also broad enough to encompass any trans, nonbinary, or gnc folk who might want to use it. And, best of all, I don't see any spam bots.
Come join me in making #transblr the new community hub! I'll be appending it to all my old posts, and also using it on all trans-related posts from now on.
