this is assuming its on art you normally wouldn't jump to reblog. i myself only rb stuff i really really like so .
The 'rude/demanding' tone would be stuff along the lines of "if you like but don't reblog I'll [threat]" which i see surprisingly often, both serious and more silly

Just realized i had an incredibly weird dream where apparently the world had ended and Jesus had come back, but we were all just ... waiting for the judgment. And you could still read books and stuff, but all the "bad" parts had been taken out??
I mean, i had been reflecting earlier on my struggles to understand how both original sin and eternal hell can justly coexist, but this was not a good solution.

I'm sick of internet negativity, so let's combat it: reblog this and saying something nice/pay a compliment to the prev in the tags.

Shout out to that one bluegrass album: i'm not sure i'd like you any more now that i'm an adult, but i'm sure hearing one of your songs would send me right back to grade school.
I've wanted to do this poll for a while. Why? I have no idea, but here it is so maybe my brain will shut up about it.
Songs underneath the cut.
youtube
^ Not really my style at first, but then you hit that fourth verse (terminology?) and wow!

^ This one hurts.
youtube
My favorite from the album from the beginning, though as a kid i misheard the line "salvation army band" as "salvation oughta be banned" and didn't understand why my mom was listening to it.
youtube
^ I didn't have a distinct memory of this one until i was adding it to my Spotify playlist. When i heard it again, i had to replay it at least once.

questions for today:
how do you respond to someone repeatedly praising how quickly you learn something by comparing you to your co-worker who apparently is a very nice person but not very good at her job
why have i been getting so many spam or telemarketing calls lately

Mostly agree. I think the disconnect between the OT and PT - to say nothing of the EU - is part of why i struggle to categorize my feelings on SW.
I don't think that makes it "intellectually dishonest" to use the prequels to interpret the OT, though - they are canonically the same story. It's not a story that makes sense, so there isn't One True Canon Interpretation that harmonizes them, but any sufficiently thought out rationalization is equally valid, whether you're interpreting the OT through the prequels, the prequels through the OT, or something else. I would say it's intellectually dishonest to try to argue that one's preferred interpretation is canonical, or even the most accurate, as Star Wars is the most contradictory grab-bag of themes, characterizations, world-building and morality that i've ever seen.
90% of Star Wars discourse only exists because the series has plot holes, inconsistent characterization and poorly thought out worldbuilding and George Lucas wrote the chronological 2nd half before the chronological 1st half without having decided on his own lore, so you can debate 'til you're blue in the face about whether the jedi are evil and Obi Wan is a liar and Yoda is a manipulator but the bare facts are that all these takes are just headcanons and fanon which exist to reconcile fundamentally contradictory stories. These takes are totally retconned into the Original Trilogy from a series that was written later and you cannot be intellectually honest while using the Prequels to inform your interpretation of the OT in any way, shape, or form. I said what I said.
