Some alt a-spec flags :)

I wanted to make matching a-spec flag sets for aphysical, aemotional, and atertiary microlabels. I do like the original flags (link), but the colors didn't really work for my purposes (they represent attraction, rather than the opposite), so I made alt ones.

Flag colors:

Aphysical: ✦ Light yellow/green, teal, purple - aphysical colors. (From the opposite colors of physical attraction, which I think orange, red, and dark red/pink represent well.) ✦ Dark grey/black, light grey - the spectrum of not experiencing physical attraction. Such as those who don't experience this attraction at all, and those who do (demiphysical for example). (Inspired by other a-spec flags.) Dark grey also represents aphys people who are a-spec in other attractions (like being aemotional in addition to aphysical), and light grey is also for those who are allo-spec in other attractions (like being alloplatonic, for example).

Aemotional: ✦ Dark grey/black, mid grey, blue, light green, blueish green - aemotional colors. (Like above, this is based on the opposite colors of emotional attraction, which I picked purple, blue, orange, yellow, and pink for. I also greys are just fitting colors in general.) The greys and lightest green also represent the spectrum of not experiencing emotional attraction. Such as those who don't experience this attraction at all, and those who do. They also represent aemo people who are a-spec and allo-spec for other attractions.

Note: to avoid looking too much like other flags, I used the 3 main colors plus dark grey/black for aphysical (microlabels), and dark grey/black, blue, blueish green, and light green for aemotional (microlabels), instead of only the bright/opposite colors (so excluding the greys). Traditionally the bright colors are used to represent the respective a-spec identity (see here for an example), and the black/grey/white is left out, but since they'll look too similar to other flags, the dark colors are included to help with this. (Just check my aphyspec and aemospec flag sets for a visual example.)

Atertiary: ✦ Light green, cyan, blue-purple, orange - atertiary colors. (Based off the opposite colors of the tertiary attraction flag, which are light blue, yellow, orange, and magenta/pink. I also rearranged the color order, just to make it more of a gradient / different.) ✦ Black - not experiencing this form of attraction. I didn't include grey/light colors like in the other flags, but that's just a visual thing. Ater-spec plus other a-spec and allo-spec people/labels are still included under this.

Aphyspec, aemospec, & aterspec: Are all based off of the above flags, but arranged into a gradient / color adjusted to represent their spectrums. Inspired by other a- spectrum flags, like ace-spec & aro-spec. There's no specific color meanings.

how do you relate to the trans community outside of mogai circles? do you see yourself as having much in common with trans people who don’t use mogai labels, are you friends with other trans people who move in different circles, do you read about trans topics?

All of my trans friends are people in know in real life, and most of them have don't use MOGAI terms or we've never discussed it. I have a ton in common with all of them!

Some use microlabels (a-spec labels, xenogenders, neogenders etc) and a couple use neopronouns. Most have ""more normal"" pronouns and gender labels. But I use 3 sets of neopronouns irl with they/them as an auxiliary, so I don’t make friends with exclusionists.

I’m on the board of a queer club and I read a ton about queer news/theory/history/etc. This year I actually was part of a presentation on gender, which was cool. So yeah I consider myself not that active in the MOGAI community (this account is pretty inactive and I have no mutuals) but I have other queer accounts online and lots of queer stuff going on irl.

I think I have a lot in common with most other trans people (being trans, trying to transition, discrimination, etc). The only people in the trans community I truly feel like I can't relate too that much are transmedicalists and even then I can still kind of relate because I used to be one many years ago 😧. I also can't relate to rich people.

Aldernic catgenders

From top left to bottom right: aldercatic, alderstacatic, alderkrisicatic, alderlacatic, alderflorcatic, alderfelicatic, alderkenocatic, alderchemicatic.

Aldercatic- being both catgender and aldernic. Someone who has a gender related to cats and also desires a different body.

Alderstacatic- being both catgender and alderstatic. This may be related to staticgender, staticatgender, or cats made of static.

Alderkrisicatic- being both catgender and alderkrisvia. This may be related to crystalgender, gemcatgender, or cats made of crystal.

Alderlacatic- being both catgender and alderlactea. This may be related to spacegender, catgenderspace, or cats made of galaxy/space.

Alderflorcatic- being both catgender and alderflora. This may be related to plantgender, plantcatgender, or cats made of plants/flowers.

Alderfelicatic- being both catgender and alderfelidae. This may be related to feingender or felines/cats in general. This was designed for catkin people but is not exclusive.

Alderkenocatic- being both catgender and alderkenic. This may be related to kenochoric, kenofelinic, or cats made of things like liminal spaces.

Alderchemicatic- being both catgender and alderchemic. This may be related to chemicalgender, chemcatgender, or cats made or chemicals.

I made these over a year ago and put them in the mogai discord and then lost the drafts sorry. The actual coining date for these is late January/early February 2022 which is why a lot of the newer aldernic terms aren't here.

Hi! i have a dumb question. If I understand correctly, "neogender" is an umbrella term that (at least can) refer to all genders, whereas "xenogender" is a specific gender/catagory of genders?

Not a dumb question! Neogender refers to "new" genders or gender umbrellas (ones coined after 2014/2015).

Xenogender is a specific subcategory of neogender. A xenogender is a gender that defies socially acceptable expectations of genders and they're often related to concepts, animals, objects, etc.

There are many other categories of both neogenders and xenogenders. For example, faunagender (animal-related) and aesthetigender (aesthetic-related) are both categories of xenogender.

But neo =/= xeno. Some people assume all genders related to concepts, animals, aesthetics, etc are xenogenders which isn't always true! It's up to the coiner.

AXEIN: genders that are not inherently xenine-in-nature (XEIN). (Note: xenine is the adjective form of xenogender)

AXIN: genders or alignments that are not inherently xenic-in-nature (XIN).

Just another way to say non-xeno! Inspired by AMIN and AFIN. I think these terms could be useful to describe some of the newer neogender umbrellas.

Felaffectis

(AKA cat-like attraction)

A form of alteraffectis attraction where you experience attraction in a similar way or the same way as a cat, or express it in the same way (ex: happy purring, cuddling with someone, etc).

Now obviously people can't literally purr and don't have fur. But the term is for people who view themselves as having cat-like mannerisms, or catkin/cat nonhumans.

Name comes from “feline” + “affectis”.

-fluiere

A suffix that indicates that an identity is fluid, fluctuating, changing in essence, and vast.

This suffix is different from -fluid and describes more complex shifting labels. Instead of fluidity, the quality of -fluiere orientations is fluienity. (Pronounced flee-N-it-ee or flew-N-it-ee)

It was originally designed for orientations but someone could also be genderfluiere, label/pronounfluiere, etc.

These identities may seem to ebb and flow like bodies of water, and feel like they're almost constantly changing (quickly or slowly). The base identity remains the same while everything about it shifts and moves. These orientations work like lava lamps in that they are moving and changing colors (feelings) while still having the same container (label). They are impossibly large but also small.

These identities may feel difficult to describe using traditional concepts and may rely on metaphors or hyper-specific scenarios instead: they are like a planet in the vastness of space, constantly moving and spinning while staying in the same orbit. They are a moth's wings fluttering, the colors and patterns of a kaleidoscope shifting, plasma moving, a flower growing and blooming, everything and nothing at once, the cycle of the tides and the phases of the moon, a 3d shape rotating, etc.

(Sorry for getting so metaphorical. But I guess it kind of shows what I mean about this being hard to describe)

Some people may feel that they’ve given up on describing themself because every time they find a label their identity seems to slightly change again. I’m not forcing anyone to identify as -fluiere but I think this term may be helpful for people with similar struggles!

Genderdecomposing

A gender that feels like it is decaying, fading away, falling apart, or sick. This gender may fade or 'distort' over time.

It can also be called genderdecaying but that might get mixed up with genderdecay. You can use it as a gender system if you want (ex: boydecaying, girldecomposing, nbdecomposed, xenodecayed, etc).

This is not inherently a xenogender.
