Bake Off ft. The HOTD Cast

For @youleavethetardisbrakeson and their post because it’s absolute gold.

Milly Alcock - Struggling to operate the oven. She doesn’t know what temperature the cake is supposed to bake at, but she’s really really trying and we love her for it. Will probably pull a Jade Thirlwall and start rocking herself on the floor. (See the photo at the end for reference.)

Emily Carey - She’s the one that’s really precise about measurements. They’re using the back of a knife as a leveler and everything. She’s also eating strawberries as they go along because it’s honestly such a vibe and we love that.

Emma D’Arcy - An absolute GOD at baking. They’d probably finish before everyone else and sit back while drinking their Negroni Sbagliato with Prosecco in it. Would also win the whole show. The entire cast has no idea where they got it.

Olivia Cooke - Constantly talking to herself. She’s ready to bust out a cookbook at this point. Stress eating the whole way through and really really wants a martini. She will steal sips of Emma’s Negroni when they’re not looking.

Paddy Considine - He’s not taking any of this seriously. AT ALL. Treats the tent like his personal runway. Bro’s quoting RuPaul’s Drag Race every other second. He’ll start frosting his cake and say that it’s giving pastry chef realness.

Matt Smith - Regretting all his life choices. A bit of a basic bitch and chose to make a Victoria Spongecake at one point. He’s actually an okay baker but his station is next to Paddy’s, which means having to listen to six different renditions of Who’s Loving You?

Fabien Frankel - Secretly super competitive. He really wants to win this even though everyone knows it’s going to be Emma. He’s glaring at everyone because of how much he wants to win but is constantly making heart eyes at Eve Best.

Rhys Ifans - Loud. Trying to screw everyone over and ends up not finishing in time. He’s eating chocolate in the corner while everyone else’s creations are being judged. Also takes great pleasure in stealing Fabien’s ingredients to mess with him.

Steve Toussaint - The only sane one there. Just vibing with himself and the food he makes. The best baker of the bunch behind Emma. Always checking on Eve to make sure she hasn’t burned herself and/or had a nervous breakdown.

Eve Best - Having a nervous breakdown. Needs her Emotional Support Steve. She’s nervously giggling the whole show. Actually a decent baker and no one is more shocked than Eve herself.

Here’s something I’ve had ready for almost a month and forgot to post. I changed some things so it’s updated after the latest episode (116).

I don’t know if anyone noticed this but the way they’re standing in the promo picture actually (possibly) tells us what the outcome of each battle will be. Especially since we already know that this is not caused by the ranking. And the Leon vs Alain & Diantha vs Lance battles proves me right.

~ First two people from right and left (Lance, Alain, Steven and Iris) are probably going to lose in their 1st battle.

~ The we have Diantha and Cynthia (Diantha already won with Lance and Cynthia probably wins with Iris) who will lose their 2nd battle.

~ And then in the centre we have Ash and Leon who will battle for the title which is obvious from the beginning. Though I’m still not sure who will win.

If it’s on purpose (which I’m almost certain it is) then it’s a really interesting thing to do. Like hinting the outcome of each battle except the last one, so long before the actual episodes come out. It’s a nice touch.

I didn’t want to disrespect or hurt anyone. I do respect that she’s AroAce and it’s canon. What I said was in case of that specific ship.

Also as far as I’m concerned there are plenty of other ships in other fandoms that kind of ignore/forget some characters sexuality. That doesn’t necessarily mean the people who ship those characters are homophobic or have anything against LGBTQ+ community.

I’m in that period of my life where I’m still figuring this world and myself out but I also already have some clues about my own sexuality or preferences. What I know for sure is that I’m not completely straight, probably Bi or Pan.

I do think that representation in TV in general is really important not only when it comes to LGBTQ+ community but also black people or even in some cases women. After all this time in some countries they’re not seen or heard. For example in mine at least half of the population is either intolerant to any differences, homophobic or a male chauvinism. And what’s sad is that if you tell a kid, let’s say a 7 year old something as basic as that you don’t want to get married or have children they responses will be something like: “But how can you not?!”. Same with many adults.

I do love what Dana Terrace is doing with The Owl House cause it’s important to educate and introduce children/teens to these things early so they don’t have to be afraid of being themselves. Also encouraging young adults or even older people to be proud of who they are.

When it comes to that ship I didn’t said anything about a sexual or romantic relationship, just that they’re aesthetically pleasing and would have an interesting dynamic. Relationship aren’t necessarily all about sex or romance.

Also something people forget about is that they’re fictional characters. Is writing a conon straight character as homosexual considered disrespectful? Let’s try sometimes to look at things the other way around.

And it’s still possible for AroAce people to make an exception. Before I wrote that post, I read some opinions. Here’s a link:

So The Owl House season 2 episode 15 happened…

and I thought it’s a great opportunity to share some of my thoughts about this episode

❗️SPOILERS AHEAD❗️

First of all the chemistry between Eda and Raine in the previous episodes was great but THIS one was just *chef’s kiss* also they’re freaking CUTE

I loved all the flashbacks this season, they give us a few clues about some things and origins of some of the characters relationships, interests and habits. I swear the scene with Raine being the one to show Eda apple blood and the fact that it’s her favourite drink to this day was heartbreaking.

While we’re talking about Raine I have to say that the ending of this episode was EVERYTHING. Not only they remember and are working against Belos but also they don’t want to involve Eda in it to protect her cause they think that they’re the reason she was in danger (S02E07). I’m crying 😢 Why does every time we get some Raeda content it must involve something freaking heartbreaking. I do have to say I’m actually getting used to it cause let’s be honest it is something that makes it even better - even through sad.

❗️Important❗️I’m looking for some Lilith x Darius shippers. It’s been hunting me from the first time I saw Darius that these two would have had such a great chemistry together. Also in the flashbacks this and previous episode we could see that they went to Hexside together SO(?) maybe there is a chance. I’m thinking not necessary early school days but somewhere between last months of school and joining the Emperor’s Coven or even later. I mean especially with both of them being coven heads they had plenty of time and opportunities to actually get together. I just love the idea of them having a secret relationship and then everybody freaking out when they find out about it. Also they’re quite similar, they are seen as firm and ruthless but the truth is they’re just doing their job and are good at hiding their true feelings/motives. We saw that in Lilith from the beginning of season 2 and in Darius in episode 13 of this season that he’s actually a nice guy. And their so aesthetically pleasing together. For me they’re one of the best ships in TOH next to Lumity and Raeda.

+ he has her in his penstagram feed after she was declared a traitor 🤔

Besides we saw that Darius is probably working with Raine so there’s possibility that he’s on the same side as Lilith.

Just imagine them all teaming up against Belos. Like Lilith & Darius and Raine & Eda is such a dream team, two freaking power couples fighting together against this sucker. Especially with Lilith & Eda getting even better at using glyphs.

I loved everything about this episode 👏
