Recently I've been seeing more tension in the Yugioh fandom against each other. Really feels like we're back in 2016, so I wonder what's up with that.

#discord emote that says ^ this tbh #(/j) #but i completely agree #Sometimes it feels like people forget one of the core messages of yugioh which is literally growth and friendship #and all of these characters have their personal reason for dueling #whjch i love that often it starts off with 'I want to be THE duelist' #but very often they come to find what dueling means FOR THEM and the people around them #i think clearest example is probably Judai and his journey and what dueling means to him and how he connects to people with it #maybe once people look past the fact that its a silly card game that is the defining force in ygo #and that the duels genuinely tell a story #especially with effects. how they are conducted. all that. #and i get it the idea that 'oh i wonder how this character would do against that character' which can be fun to consider!! #especially with all these different playstyles #but never forget theres a bit of luck involved and its probably unfair pitching judais 2005 deck against yuyas 2014 deck #when the game. its speed. and everything changed so drastically #also in the end i think it should always be friendly banter ^_^ #like it should be all fun and games and not something that causes people to hate this and that #ahhh sorry also rambling #but yeah i agree what u say #i hope what i said made sense #reblog #long tags
