He swore when you two got together he would never let himself drink from you.

Yet, here he was, you could feel his warm breath on your wrist, shaky and unsure.

“Are you… sure you’re okay with this?” Shadow asked, His eyes practically piercing through you.

You nodded, you knew he was hungry and you couldn’t let it go on. His muzzle was pale, and he looked weak. He always wanted to taste you, he had been close to breaking his promise a number of times, but now, he was finally doing it.

The feeling of his teeth sinking into your wrist was painful at first, but once he was locked on, he began to suck, and it felt just like your blood was being drawn. Well, it technically was, just in a very… different way.

He closed his eyes, and fireworks went off in his head.He couldn't believe the taste of the crimson liquid. This was so much better than his usual favorite, sheep. He subconsciously bit down harder, accidentally making you wince, but be immediately backed off, sucking lightly once more. He had to be extremely careful, if he got lost in his thoughts, he would accidentally take too much But it just- it tasted so good, the metallic liquid covering his tongue was practically god and it was just so-

“Shadow !” You raised your voice.

Shadow was immediately pulled out of his trance, pulling his teeth from your flesh and licking the remainder of your blood off his lips.

“I’m sorry, [name] I don’t… I don’t know what got into me.” The hedgehog apologized, unable to look you in the eyes.

“It’s alright, Shadow, I'm just a little lightheaded.” You said, reassurance lacing your voice. You knew he didn’t mean to, he just hadn’t had a meal in a while.

“Stay here,” Shadow commanded, walking off for whatever reason.

He had soon walked back in the door with a first-aid kit in tow, and sat beside you. The red-streaked hedgehog took your bitten wrist, and first got out disinfectant spray.

“This may sting.” He said, voice filled with remorsefulness. He hated that he hurt you, sure he loathed when you got hurt in general, but when he, himself did it ? He became his own punching bag.

“You did what you had to do, Shads.” You responded to the overwhelming silence, and hissed as your wrist got sprayed.

“I know. I have no excuse for going overboard though.” He responded, getting out the bandages

He wrapped the bandage around your wrist slowly, making sure to apply pressure.

“Thank you… [name].”

“It’s no problem, really.

“I love you.” Shadow whispered faintly, before kissing the palm of your hand.

Leonardo sighed. He thought he had always been good with words, until you. Why did you take his words away ? Why did your laugh echo in his mind, and why did he want to hear your voice 24/7 ? Leo knew why, he's known since the moment he laid his eyes upon you. You just took the words out of his mouth and the breath out of his lungs to tell you how he truly feels.

At the moment, you both were side by side on the couch, watching your favorite show. Sure, Space Heroes was on at the moment just on the other channel, but he didn't mind seeing what you liked. He slowly breathed in and out, trying to calm his racing heart.

Leonardo saw where your hand was resting on the couch cushion, and slowly moved his hand to rest atop of yours. You chuckled softly at his shyness. It was very unlike Leo, did you really have such an effect on him ? You intertwined your fingers with his. It felt.... Odd for the first few moments. Since he had only 3 fingers, and you had a full five. But you made it work.

"Y/n ?" Leo spoke.

"Yes, Leonardo ?" You asked. The way his name rolled off your tongue just made him blush.

The atmosphere was right, the romantic tension was palpable. Leo sighed softly before saying

"I love you." He said, simply.

The statement caught you off guard, but you laughed lightly as his nervousness.

"I love you too, Leo." You looked over, meeting his azure eyes.

All you could see in his gaze was love, adoration, and care. This turtle truly loved you.

You scooted closer to him, leaning your head on his shoulder. He moved his hand away from yours, to your head, stroking your hair.
