Very much work in progress, excuse the ugly. The J'Adore Bakery is not looking like it's original blueprint at all! I found some beautiful, aestheticly pleasing bakery pictures on pinterest (ofc) and felt inspired to go wild, cc-free limitations be damned!

How many places left in blue water village to upload?
Technically there's 11 lots left to go over (all of the lots are uploaded but I'm doing a sweep of every lot to see if there's anything to improve).

I made an effort to look at the Tinker family's personalities, likes and dislikes, bios etc. for this makeover. And I kept some of the house's original wallpapers and furniture if I could (aka if it wasn't too ugly).
Stephen Tinker's bio claims that he was the mascot for his college's football team hence the football memorabilia.
I kept the dark, modern theme for Melody's room and since it's suggested she's an artist her room has some hand made paintings. She has high interest in sci-fi so she got some alien posters.
She's active so she has a basket ball and gym equipment in her room.
The home gym of the original house turned into a art studio for Melody.
Both Stephen and Wanda want more kids so they have a spacious nursery.
I'm really happy with this makeover!

In case anyone else has this issue, this is what worked for me:
The Tinker house is basically done but I'm having trouble with the toy store. Whenever I playtest it the restocking does not work on objects that are placed on the ofb shelves or magis trays.
The sim restocks and the restock sign disappears but the item isn't restocked. Don't know if I have a weird mod conflict but it's really annoying...
Edit: Okay, the restocking signs end up in a corner of the lot, numeror's fix doesn't seem to help.
Edit 2: I have to turn moveobjects off before I place anything on the OFB shelves and magis trays, otherwise the restock signs get missplaced.
What an annoying bug. I'll have to look over all of my previous business lots.

Calling All Sims 2 Players
This is a little early, but I am going to need 5 test players after New Pleasantview is ready, but before it rolls out publically. Since I am going to be messing with story lines and scripted events I will need an unbiased opinion on the flow and whether things will make sense.
I just want to put this out there now. I am going to have a short questionaire that I will post soon so those interested can answer some quick questions about their game play and I can select the 5 kinds of players I need. Please share if you know someone who would be interested.

Next Bluewater Village remodel to go over is the Tinker residence, 32 Eagle Lane.
I could not tolerate this shapeless box anymore so I took some liberties with the design.

Can't wait to see how it turns out! Thank you for letting me put my twist on some of the Old Town lots! ❤️
New Pleasantview is coming together :D
This map is a map that @philosimy created, I am hoping that they are OK with me using it to share this New Pleasantview with everyone. If not, I will have a plan B in place. Either way, I love the neighborhood and I thank them for their creation. I had always wanted to use it in a recreation of Old Town, but then I thought I could use it for New Pleasantview because I had always wondered why EAxis never kept the look and feel of the Sims 1 and transition the game smoothly to its new look. There is still a lot to do, plenty of lots to work on, and some scripted events to put together to fit some characters that will bring back that feeling of the old and enjoying some new gameplay at the same time. There will be plenty of updates throughout this venture as well as some lag as creating homes can be a little inspiration absorbing. Of course, I could not do this alone, and I am so glad to have @plumbtales working on this with me. The attention to detail and decoration skills that Plumbtales has floors (pun intended 😝) me every time and I am always so happy to see the outside of the box thinking that is in all of the results of their work. ❤️I hope those of you that are following this progress like the updates, new places and videos of this wonderful venture.

Hey! I am obsessed with your renovations! Thank you for sharing them with us! A question, have you renovated olive spectors house?
Hi! Thank you for using them! 🥰 No, I haven't yet! I've actually looked at it a couple of times when I'm bored with my other projects and thought of maybe renovating it because it's such an iconic house!
But I haven't gotten to it because I've always had other hoods to work on. Maybe I'll have another look at it and figure out what I want to do with it ;)

Man, even when compressed and cleaned of sim references the Ramirez house has a file size of 6.8 mb and my file sizes are usually between 1 and 2 mb.
Must be the family pictures or the extra clutter from the accessory spawner. Not completely sure.
Still, it's way smaller than most lots that contain cc (some can be over 100 mb in size)...
I hope this lot isn't going to cause issues/too much lag for people. I really want to continue adding photos to houses, file sizes be damned.
