Downtown Corner Shops

I emptied my downtown a while back, but I've been wanting to make it usable again. My first project was the Corner Shoppes because I never thought it looked like it fit in downtown.

I guess now it's time to move on to the parks, which I'm not feeling. But I don't like my old remodels, so yeah.

Goth Manor Remodel

The Goth family are the richest family in Pleasantview but their house never seemed grand enough to me! So I’ve made it a lot bigger and grander. It now has many more bedrooms, a back staircase and disused servants quarters in the attic.

The 101st Marriage Proposal

(the name is based on real life love hotel which apparently ether don't exit no more or has changed it's name. I thought it was the best name ever. The love hotel's name is based on a movie?)

I dunno if it's ok to share hotel lots. So for safety just download the normal community and -> changelotzoning hotel. I didn't have any issues with just the hotel download so i'm sharing it 🤷‍♂️

SPECIAL INFO FOR HOTELS: If you want your sims to be able to sleep on the lot use this mod by numenor. I also shared some good to know things about hotel lots in normal hoods in this post -long story short- don't visit hotels with only teens (pretty sure kids are the same), you can't leave and will be stuck. So teens/kids will have to bring adults (makes sense for this build tbo). ALSO! Build this in mind of the NPC EVRYWHERE PATCH -mod. So without it the food place is just empty. This mod will give you free food and place to work.

Except then I couldn't play it, because the lot (?) has a bug where any time they try to eat literally anything they get an error

88 Road to Nowhere

88 Road to Nowhere, Strangetown, has everything a small town might need.

This is a more CC-heavy makeover than I usually go for. Everything is included except for one recolor from this set. One item highlighted in red in Clean Installer is a Store item, so don't fret, but do keep in mind that I rename files - check for possible duplicates in your Downloads folder carefully.

The lot was cleaned of all sims references.

13 Dead End Lane

Living in a neighborhood where the houses are all isolated at the end of their respective streets must be strange. But some sims just don't want to live in town next to nosy neighbors and HOAs that frown on building cemeteries in your front yard.

Olive Specter lived out her last days in isolation, estranged from her niece and never sparing a thought for her son. Or so it seemed until she died, a will was discovered, and suddenly Nervous Subject was the owner of a house that didn't suit him at all. But at least he had somewhere to go.

He particularly hated the hallway that led to Olive's bedroom. But it didn't matter--the door was locked anyway. He wasn't curious enough about what was on the other side to break through it. In fact, he had a feeling it would be a bad idea to make any changes to the house at all.

Good Morning! I bring to you a repurposed barn. It is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom starter with a greenhouse and flower patch. The lot size is 30X30 and the cost is 71,588. There is a 1/2 shed that allows for an at home business. This lot is perfect for those that want to start a life of farming or those who just enjoy growing their own food and making a profit with the extras. This lot was made over using TS2 UC.
