Poké MOCs #50 - Mewtwo
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 49
As one of the most well-loved legendary pokemon out there, Mewtwo seems like the perfect choice to mark number 50! I don't think there's ever been a time since the first games were released that mewtwo hasn't been among the strongest, even now when psychic isn't even close to the meta-defining type it was in Gen 1.
I'm glad to report that this model is 100% buildable in the real world! All the bricks exist in the right colours, though it does give mewtwo an unfortunate grey stripe down his tail.
Thanks to /u/SilvallyGuardian for the request!
(and sorry about such a long wait between #49 and #50!)

Poké MOCs #49 - Meloetta
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 48
Meloetta is a pretty strange pokemon, being able to switch form at will using relic song, and I think that make it difficult to play. It serves reasonably well in the middle tiers, but I think that's despite it's gimmick rather than because of it. Still, it's a fun and unique design and among my favourite mythicals.
This was a nightmare to create. Those eyes! That mouth! I went through so many iterations trying to get something acceptable, and while the end result isn't perfect it's finally good enough to finish up and move on.
I'm happy to report that this model is 100% buildable with physical bricks, following the trend of the last couple of builds, and at just over 100 pieces it's a pretty cheap set too. Be aware that it's VERY fragile, though, thanks to the single stud connection between the head and the body. Probably only a display piece!
Thanks to /u/Theprinceofarendelle for the request 9 months ago, when I posted PokeMOC #3 Zygarde!

Poké MOCs #47 & #48 - Latias & Latios
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 46
Whoever at Gamefreak thought psychic dragon planes were a good idea needs a pat on the back. There's a lot to love about these two, and not just for the design and story. Their speed and versatility mean both are pretty decent in competitive, and latios is pretty clearly better than its mega form too. They're just so weird. It's amazing.
Following the philosophy of the last few models, both latias and latios are 100% buildable. You don't end up with as precise, large or complex as some of the other designs, but these have still turned out pretty well and don't break the bank if you want to buy the pieces. The heads may end up a little fragile, since the eye/ear assemblies are attached by one stud, but they should stay connected fine on display.
Thanks to /u/SoloWing1 for the latias request!

Mimikyu in LEGO, now IRL!
As I’m sure you’ve noticed, most of my MOCs are digital. Unfortunately, my brick collection isn’t large or varied enough quite yet. Also money.
Mimikyu came along, with its low piece count and common colours, and I just had to take the plunge. A couple of Bricklink orders later, and here it is in all its glory! (with bonus Zygarde pal).
The model cost me £14 including postage, which is a pretty good rate. Most of the bricks were new, as well. I think only the yellow single-stud tow ball pieces were used.
I’ve uploaded the Wanted List to Bricksafe if anyone wants to buy it through Bricklink too. Here’s the link: http://bricksafe.com/pages/Cephei_Delta/pokemocs/mimikyu

Poké MOCs #46 - Mega Beedrill
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 45
I think Mega Beedrill is one of the best examples of how great the Mega Evolution mechanic can be. Gamefreak went all in with the minmaxing and brought a pretty useless mon to high level gameplay without making it completely overpowered. The speed buff for megas and the prevalence of fairies in SM really helps this mon too. Thanks for making one of my Gen 1 favourites relevant again!
Want to know the best thing about this model? It's 100% Buildable. No non-existant colour/brick combinations here! If you buy it you might want to invest in a stand to hold it in flight/battle position. There's a good 2x2 spot under its thorax you can attach something to, so it should be pretty easy to figure out.

Poké MOCs #45 - Mimikyu
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 44
It's been a while, but it's time to get back to this! Continuing the Alola run I had going on is Mimikyu, the disguise pokemon! This strange little ghost fairy is a pretty useful pokemon to have on your side in a singles game - Disguise often gives you a free turn of set up, especially in the Battle Tree where the AI isn't as good at working around it. And come on, it's adorable! :D
As I was designing this I restricted myself to brick/colour combinations that exist, which means that this is 100% buildable! The only requirement is that you switch out the cool yellow (as shown in the render) for bright yellow (which is shown in the instructions and LDD file).
I'm not going to promise which is next, we know how well that's been working out so far ;)
Happy building everyone!

Shiny Metagross in all its glory!
I was super thrilled to see this pop up on reddit's r/lego. That someone not only liked my design, but liked it enough to spend significant time and money on it, just blows me away.
Thanks to reddit's /u/ArdentSky, who posted his build here and linked back to the sourced of my instructions. It's worth checking out the thread, they commented about a small mod to the core to help with stability.

Poké MOCs #44 -Primarina
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 43
I seem to be sticking with the Alola theme for now! Today we have Primarina, one of my favourite starters to date and probably the most competitively viable of the three Alola starters. Don’t tell anyone, but Primarina can OHKO Mega Metagross after tanking a Meteor Mash, and it has therefore earned its place in my fairy-type gym over at /r/pokemonleague3ds.
Build-wise, Primarina has a lot of interesting shapes and was great fun to put together. The hair was probably the biggest challenge: I wanted something that looks good tied up and when it’s flailing everywhere. I settled on this design, for which you can un-clip the back and spread the remaining bob.
If you want to build this IRL, you’ll have to make a few colour substitutions, but only really for some connecting joints. So overall, I think it’ll come out nicely and I’m very tempted to buy it myself! Sadly, the pink starfish will need substituting for a different piece...the 1x1 round plate with flower edge will probably look best.
Next up....another “who-knows-maybe-celesteela” situation here!

Poké MOCs #43 - Toxapex
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 42
Toxapex! Scourge of OU! The tankiest tank who ever tanked! Toxapex is one of the best new pokemon out of Gen 7, and certainly the best non-legendary or Ultra Beast. Crazy defence stats, the Regenerator ability and a great typing all contribute to toxapex's success, though it's a shame its unique ability (Merciless) and move (Baneful Bunker) aren't more viable.
If you've been reading these posts you might have seen toxapex on my list for a while. I built one version that was a lot larger than this one which consisted only of the shell.arms without the top dome and body. After that, I realised that toxapex is a lot smaller than I thought, and I also found it difficult trying to match scales to finish the whole thing off. So I took the basic design idea (which you can also see in Mega Gardevoir) and shrunk it. And here we are!
Toxapex's colour palette doesn't lend itself well to Lego, though. I did the best I could with the colours available, but it's just ever so slightly off even with these relatively rare colour choices. For that reason, I doubt it's a realistic model to build IRL, though I haven't checked yet!
Next up: ??? (maybe I'll finish Celesteela)

Poké MOCs #41 & #42 - Cosmog & Cosmoem
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 40
Nebby finally makes an apperance (sans bag)! And only Solgaleo left to finish the full evolutionary line! Cosmog and Cosmoem have literally zero competitive ability so there's not much to talk about there. But it's enough to say that Nebby brought this evolution line so much character in Sun and Moon - and probably more than any other box legendary to date.
These are both little, relatively simple builds. Cosmog is a pretty much a 3x3 Lowell sphere with decoration, as seen in Magneton and Rotom. Cosmoem is a built around the all-powerful parabolic ring piece. For both cosmog and cosmoem, the faces were the most difficult to get looking reasonable. I went through a few face designs for Cosmog before settling on this one. Cosmoem is tricky since it usually has closed eyes, but I think the half round plates are a resonable alternative. But hey, there's always room for more experimentation there!

Poké MOCs #40 - Shaymin
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 39
Happy New Year everyone!
Shaymin time! I have to admit I don't know much about shaymin. It came right around my Pokemon dark ages, and so I didn't play much of Gen 4. Then sky form is banned to ubers and land form tends to be quite low viability, so I don't often see it in OU or VGC games. Ah well, it's cute and at the end of the day, that's enough for me!
The model was supposed to be a quick and easy one to get me back in to building over the holidays, but I benched it after I couldn't find a compact way to get a 6 fold symmetry flower at the right size. In the end, I just wen't with 4 fold symmetry and I think the result is nice even if it's not strictly accurate!
As I was about to post this, I also realised that shaymin has a flower on the other side of its body, too...so oops! At least it wouldn't show up on the picture anyway, so just imagine it's there!
Thanks to /u/MrNktStudios for the request!
I've been working on celesteela, toxapex and dunsparce too, so they'll probably be next in some order or another.

Poké MOCs #39: Nihilego (UB-01: Symbiont)
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 38
Time for the first Ultra Beast of many! Ultra Space's parasitic jellyfish is a unique mon in a lot of ways. The only one to have a Rock/Poison type, and the only one to SPOILER (go play Sun/Moon). Competitively, there's a lot of love about Nihilego. It's probably the best hazard setter in the game right now, and with Beast Boost it can sweep under the right circumstances too.
This was a fun little model to put together, though it took a few goes to get a good looking rim on the hat. I experimented with a few ways to get the dome on the top, including using a transparent UFO dome, and also trying to get some stars on there, but ultimately decided this cleaner, symmetrical look worked best even if it didn't reproduce every detail.
Bricklinkers rejoice! This is 100% buidable as you see in the image. That is, every piece exists in the correct colour, and I don't think any are particularly rare either. At only 109 pieces, you can probably pick up this set for about $20/£20/€20. Warning: it won't stand up by itself, like in the render.

Poké MOCs #38: Scolipede
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 37
Any guesses as to why I've taken so long to upload this one? Well, I'm Alola champion now so let's get back to some Lego :D
Scolipede, the behemoth bug type, continues the pattern of Unova bug types being amazing, although it only really rose to its current power when it get Speed Boost in Gen 6. If this thing turns up on the enemy team watch out for that Baton Pass!
The top half of the model didn't take too long to figure out. It was one of those times when the inspiration came before I start so it didn't take long to figure out something that worked, and I'm really happy with the result. The lower half was tricker, especially with having to fit so much into a relatively thing base. It had to compromise and have only three segments in the lower body rather than four, but I think it works out ok. It might have been better with more tinkering, but at some point you have to move on!
Bricklinking pretty much isn't going to happen in regular colours, although given how common bright red and blue are, the shiny form should be do-able. However, the eyes use new quarter circle pieces that are pretty rare, so you'd need to switch them for something square or have the eyes fully open.
Next up will probably be toxapex, since I've started it already, but no promises because there are a lot of mons I want to get to yesterday ;)
Happy building, and I hope you're all enjoying Sun and Moon!

Poké MOCs #37: Shuckle
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 36
Shuckle is a weird pokemon, mechanically. One of the most defensive out there, and yet it's capable of doing more damage in a single attack than any other. I'll leave you to look up how, because it's messy and complicated!
The model I've settled on is actually the third attempt. The first two had a blockier body and legs, with the joints made using ball and sockets. It was ok, but I'm definitely pleased I chose to scrap it and go with a dish and parabolic ring based design. It's a little more fragile in some ways, but much more visually appealing.
Want to know the best thing? This model is 100% buildable. Yep, every single piece exists in the right colour. You don't even have to compromise on ball joints, like so many of the others. That's what you get when a pokemon is only made of the three most common colours for Lego pieces!
Shuckle was a popular request, so thanks to /u/SaredformJubway /u/squidnow_amiibo /u/Sc4r4byte
I have scolipede half done, so that'll probably be next!

Poké MOCs #35 Type:Null and #36 Silvally
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 34
We still know very little about the chimera pokemon Type:Null and Silvally, so commentary is hard. But Silvally’s versatility thanks to RKS System is likely to give it some kind of niche, whether in the high tiers or lower tiers. Watch this space! Power aside, I think both are fun designs and I’m looking forward to finding out more about them in a couple of weeks!
If you look really, really closely, you might recognise the body from Sylveon, just a brick longer with legs that are two studs longer. Type:Null and Silvally are identical here until up until the next, so you could just build one body and two heads for an evolving figure! But of course, you need to build 18 tails and head feathers for Silvally, for the complete experience!
I haven't checked up on the availability of a lot of these pieces, but I expect you can get pretty far except for some of the detailing, like the sand green teeth plates on the forelegs, and the spikes off Type:Null's helmet. Silvally is probably the easier one to build for that reason.
Thanks to /u/MegaHaxorus for the request!
I'm not sure what's next, so I won't make any promises!

Poké MOC #34 - Sylveon
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 33
Don’t let its cuteness fool you, the newest eeveelution is also one of the deadliest. Pixilate Hyper Voice takes no prisoners. Sylveon is probably the best eeveelution in doubles formats, and the only one that’s reasonably viable in OU singles. I think I even remember seeing a decent sylveon set for VGC that had only hyper voice and 3 blank spots, but I’m struggling to find it now!
So this model was a lot of fun, because sylveon has a lot of interesting little bits that needed solving, but the base frame was easy to import from Mega Absol. The part that took by far the longest to get right was the face. There’s a lot of detail, plenty of unusual contours, and large eyes that didn’t suit some of the techniques I’ve used before. I went through about five attempts from scratch before landing on this version, and I’m really pleased with the final result. Thanks, Lego, for the 1x1 bar plate! (I wish it came in more than just black)
Unfortunately this is another model that doesn’t Bricklink well. Sylveon’s pastel palette contains a set of pretty rare colours and I know there will be problems even without checking the catalogue. The shiny palette might work, though, since you can get the shield pieces on the bows and ears in sand blue. The half curved 1x1 tiles will need switching out for straight ones.
Thanks to my friend /u/Tylluss for the Sylveon request!
And shoutout to /u/NilCealum for the first eeveelutions request - having sylveon done will speed up building the others when the time comes.
I've made a lot of progress on Type:Null, so that'll probably be next.

Poké MOC #33 - Rotom
Usual link to the instructions for this and the other 32
There's no better way to celebrate Halloween than building Pokemon's own poltergeist, Rotom!
As of Gen 7 we have 7 forms, though only 6 are playable in battle. Competitive players will be long familiar with Rotom-Wash, especially as one of the best Brave Bird counters out there. Rotom-Heat is also reasonably useful in doubles, though the others find themselves way down there on the tier lists. But hey, at least Rotom-Fan with an air balloon can claim immunity to Ground in three different ways! That's worth something!
All of these are relatively simple builds. You might recognise the 3x3 Lowell sphere in Normal and Fan from my magnemite build. The most fun to put together were probably Mow and Fan, since there were a couple of unusual shapes to solve in each. Mow has to be my favourite of the bunch, though!
Thanks to /u/twoface117 for the request!
Next up is Sylveon!
