The fact that Iroh never stops calling him Prince Zuko. Even when they’re begging on the street or camping in the wilderness, when Zuko is at his lowest, when he doesn’t even know where his destiny lies, when he feels like anything but royalty, Iroh never stops reminding him who he is. Never stops calling him Prince.
I’m going to go eat glass btw

The production went all the way to cast a blind VA for Toph but went short with Aang. That guy is barely an actor himself lest a voice actor.

It is just appalling that we still have this Hamas debate after 6 months of ruthless killing of Palestinians. Those people wanna justify the death of more than 30000 Palestinians so bad. Humanity is dead

Avatar Zuko leaves the North Pole after the disastrous invasion of the Fire Nation. His mission: to seek out an earthbending master to help him master the final element in the cycle.
Because only the master of all four elements can stand against the Fire Lord and his armies. Only the master of all four elements can bring balance to the world once again.
Only the Avatar can fix what Sozin's dynasty has destroyed - even if most days, Zuko feels more like an exhausted, banished prince, suffocating under the tarnished legacy of his cruel father.
Showing up 3 years late with Starbucks: what's up, my fellow kids?
BOOK TWO: EARTH of the Legend of Avatar Zuko is now posting, with weekly updates

hi! you don't have to answer this, but-- can i get a book recommendation? i like fantasy/ adventure, and cool representation in characters :] i kinda stopped reading over quarantine and i'm trying to get back into it. sorry if this is a dumb request lol, but thank you!
Hi anon!!! Absolutely, 100%, totally. I hope you know that this ask isn't dumb; it made my day! I absolutely love recommending books to people :D Here are some that sound like your kind of thing:
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It's got multiple queer characters, disabled characters & characters of colour in the main cast, it's an epic fantasy, it's a heist story (so very adventurous), and is one of my personal favourites. It's a little long and on the darker side for YA, but it's very good.
A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab. This one is adult. It co-stars a woman with one eye & has some queer & POC side characters. It's very adventurous; the main character, Kell, has the power to move through worlds, and has to get to Black London (the dead/dangerous world) to return something that could otherwise destroy everyone--plus, he has to take Lila, a thief and wannabe pirate, along for the journey.
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko. This one is an African-inspired YA fantasy with a majority-black cast, plus one ace biromantic character and a few side queer characters. The main character becomes one of the Crown Prince's council members, who he trusts more than anything--and, due to orders from her guardian (the mysterious Lady), she must kill him.
Spellhacker by MK England. A scifi/fantasy YA starring a queer girl and a nonbinary person, Spellhacker is about a group of friends who illegally steal & sell magic, and their very last, and perhaps most important, job. What could go wrong? (Famous last words...)
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. A historical-fantasy taking place in Paris. When Severin is told by the Order of Babel to hunt down a mysterious artifact in exchange for his true inheritance, he and his crew uncover terrible secrets. This one has an autistic Jewish character, characters of colour, and queer characters. It's a little slow at times, but definitely very intriguing and high stakes.
You'll probably be able to find all of these either at your local library or on an online library (and obviously if you're able to, you can buy any that interest you as well, but I know libraries can be helpful). If you've read these all already, or none of them interest you, feel free to ask again with more specifics! (Also, if you read one, I'd love to hear!)

oh Btw nico going back to that book rec posts- any ya recs for me? i figure i should start getting into it a bit more
you absolutely should!! I am getting into classics, it only makes sense. balance of the universe and whatnot
So! A few general things before I give some recs, since this is Baby's First Trek Into YA (this is not necessary. im just having fun):
not all YA is created equal <3 YA is literally just an age target (13-18) and can be any genre & level of quality
there's upper YA and lower YA. Upper is more like 15-18, lower is 13-15. No one really makes this distinction anymore, though. (I like lower YA tbh. it's fun, and more serious than MG, but usually doesn't have the romances that are so often integral in upper YA.)
do not read YA dystopians unless you've seen people talk about things that *aren't* the characters/romance
trust me
you will be sad
Anyway!! Time for the actual recs. (you may or may not have read some of these, idk. Hopefully not, lmao.) I tried to pick ones that I think you specifically would almost certainly like, but I have more!
Six of Crows, Leigh Bardugo; we talked about this one, but it's worth mentioning again. It has heists!! Murder!! A cool magic system!! Probably my favourite YA epic fantasy.
Lost in the Never Woods, Aiden Thomas; this one is a peter pan retelling. Wendy's brothers went missing in the Never Woods years ago, and now, kids are going missing again. This one is slower, and talks a lot about trauma and mental health.
CG Drews' books. This is "a thousand perfect notes" and "the boy who steals houses". they're just... skdhfks. ATPN is a genderbent cinderella retelling about abuse and mental health, and TBWSH is an ownvoices story about autism and anxiety (and waffles).
The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins. 24 kids are thrown in an arena each year to fight to the death on live TV. Best dystopian I've ever read. A story about war and trauma.
These Violent Delights, Chloe Gong. A Romeo and Juliet retelling in 1920s Shanghai, about rival gang members that must team up when their gangs start being brutally murdered. I'm not done, but it's really good so far.
The Raven Boys, Maggie Stiefvater. The first book in my favourite series ever! Five teens search the hills of Virginia for a dead welsh king so they can awaken him and have a wish granted. Much, MUCH weirder than it sounds.
The Gilded Wolves, Roshani Chokshi. A group of mildly-criminal acquaintances must steal something for a mysterious order, and in exchange, the leader might finally get his inheritance. (It's historical fantasy, which I think you'd like.)
