think about clones being absolutely ENTHRALLED by totally normal everyday things that they never had on Kamino or encountered in their sliced media. none of them have ever seen a bouncy ball before and they lose their fucking shit over it. it’s mayhem in the barracks when someone gets ahold of a 20-pack of tiny bouncy balls. there are confiscations and several new legion-wide mandates. their jedi can’t stop laughing. — clones being fascinated and terrified by kitchen appliances bc all their food was pre made and handed to them on trays. kix has a deep distrust of toasters after one scared the shit out of him the first time he used it. clones who are afraid of bugs. clones who are OBSESSED with bugs and use up all their allotted comm storage space taking pictures of every single one they see. clones who have never seen a holo advertisement before and they trust and believe everything the advertiser says. clones who make their padawan learner tell them absolutely everything about “restaurants” and anxiously roleplay ordering food with each other before their first shore leave to make sure they get it perfect. they don’t all understand the assignment but they try. just THINK ABOUT CLONES BEING DEPRIVED OF NORMAL PEOPLE THINGS AND FINALLY HAVING A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE IT ALL ONCE THEYRE SENT AWAY FROM KAMINO AND COPING WITH IT IN DIFFERENT WAYS

How about you? What are you guys grateful for? Reblog and share what TBB meant to you!

During season 2 I was leaving uni (if anyone has studied Musical Theatre at a professional level, you'll understand it's like the clone wars)

I had been working non-stop for three years to reach the ultimate goal (get an agent) with everyone telling me I had it in the bag.

I did not lol

I started obsessing over the clones as a coping mechanism to motivate me to work harder, run harder, lift harder. Basically doing everything I needed to do, but escaping the pressure of real life and making it fun for myself.

Uni ended and I had no idea what to do. I had one talent that was useless in the real world. Like the clones, I had been following a set path my whole life and now I had to figure out what I really wanted out of my career (I'd never fully vibed with the pointlessness of Musical Theatre, it's just the only thing I'm good at).

After thinking hard, the thing that was at the front of my mind was the motion capture Ahsoka and Maul fight. Thanks to the clones, I've taken up kickboxing and karate, am taking stage combat and firearms training courses and feel motivated to forge a career as a fight choreographer and self-defense instructor.

These copy paste boys have taken over my life.

(Also not to mention the patchwork star wars sleeve that has appeared on my arm in the past year)

Before TBB Ends...Regardless of HOW it Ends...I've Got to Say Something...

In 2021, TBB was released, and over the last few years, it's grown to mean a lot to me. Not just the stories, the storytelling, the characters whom we've fallen in love with and hope to see more of someday, whose stories we've learned important lessons from, but how it profoundly affected my life.

And it is something I am incredibly grateful for.

Regardless of how the show ends, if it's something I'm going to love or be totally heartbroken over and hate, I'm so glad it happened and went on this journey.

For one, it gave me the plug to start writing. Writing was always a dream of mine but it wasn't until I discovered fanfiction, because of TBB, that I actually realized it. I had this idea of writing and thought I'd never really be able to accomplish that. The show enabled me to move past that and I've been able to be enflamed by my love for writing. It brings me so much happiness. No other show pushed me to write like this one.

Secondly, my writing has allowed me to touch and interact with people. I can't tell you how much it means to me and how thrilled I am to hear and learn my work has touched you in some way. I'm humbled by your words and taking the time to actually read and appreciate what I've written.

Thirdly, I've gone on so many adventures, crazy amazing adventures because of what other brilliant minds I met through the show have written. There are SO many great stories that just hit me so.....I was touched by your stories that you wouldn't have written if you hadn't watched the show!

Lastly, but CERTAINLY not the least, I have made SO many friends and writing buddies because of this show. It has connected me to so many cool people that I otherwise may never have found. I've grown really close with some of you, while others, though we may not be friends per say, I hope we can someday. In the meantime, I will admire your work from here. You guys mean so much to me and I can't even begin to express how wonderful it's been getting to know you over the past few years. The fun experiences we've shared, the theories, the stories, all of it. I am not putting this as well as it was in my head so please forgive that.

Look, I love "Echo as a closely-knit member of the Bad Batch" as much as the next person (I sure write it enough) but I think the opposite also has its merits: Echo as "That Super Cool Commando Who Stayed With Us For A While And Who Now Helps Us Out Sometimes."

Crosshair only makes fun of him because the cyborg commando who lived with them after they dragged him out of a secret lab can both out-shoot him with a DC-17 AND hack into computers with his mind, and He's Way Too Cool.

Echo and the Batch don't care about each other any less, but Echo being more of a Cool Cousin than a Brother is great to me because it puts everything in early TBB into another light. Echo just gets a front-row seat to everyone's petty fights and family drama without feeling the need to step into it unless there's blood.

@the-bi-space-ace I know we usually write the whole Batch being super tight-knit, but this occurred to me, and I thought it was a funny alternate way to think about Echo's dynamic with the Batch.
