Battles with the bank, "your call is important to us" while you hold for 40 min 💀, archaic red-tape rules, business appointment being canceled 90 min AFTER appointment was supposed to start, 3h queues at the Revenue Services two days in a row 😡, unreliable staff, winter starting again during spring season... Aaargh. 😢 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And then... feet in the icy cold ocean to photograph this picture, view of the majestic Table Mountain with this cute marshmallow cloud, some soft sand between the toes, wind rushing through the hair🌬️, a gentle kiss 💋 and a loving hug from your partner in crime 😎. You will never get two baskets that are identical. Basket weaving is mostly practiced by women 👩🏿‍🦱 in rural communities as a source of income. It can take frikken amazing pictures and shoot dynamic & cinematic filming shots. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But it's also an expensive toy. 💰 Imagine, it's all alone up there, over the ocean, big seagulls flying around, dogs jumping on the beach 🐕. And did we mention heavy winds here in Cape Town??? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Cape Doctor" is the local name for the strong south-easterly wind that blows on the South African coast from spring to late summer (September to March in the southern Hemisphere - yup, like in right NOW). It is known as the Cape Doctor by locals coz "it clears Cape Town of pollution". ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yeah, all cool and great, but the Cape Doctor will not heal our drone... 😎 So often do we go to the beach with our drone and then quickly and frantically press the "return to home" button. 👇🏻🖲️ So for the time being, you'll just have to enjoy many pictures OF our new baby... The verdict: YUMMY. 👍 In the last four months we've had mussels in Belgium, France, Spain (see video link in bio) and now South Africa. This is definitely the best backdrop we've had to enjoy our lunch. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Marinière is our favourite mussel recipe. Only white wine, cream, garlic and parsley. sᴇᴀʟ ɪᴛ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴀ ᴋɪss 💋 ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is Vietnam 2015. We were on a motorbike on the Ho Chi Minh trail and found this waterfall, really in the middle of nowhere. No tourists, no signs, just us. We only started dating about 6 months before that. 💑 This was our first travel experience together, a first of many to follow. 😎 We felt great in Vietnam, like a 'coming home' type of feeling. The people, the food🥢, the nature, the many bikes 🛵 (42 mio apparently). And did we mention beers for only 10000 VND (0.43$) 🍺? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Did we know then that 4.5 years later we would plan to move there? Was that kiss under the waterfall mind-blowingly, life-changing good ??? Oh yeah, baby! 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 50 days till our move to Vietnam.
