★ Do you use a bookmark when you’re reading a physical book? A random piece of paper or the receipt? Do you dog ear? When I was a kid, I’d definitely dog ear. As a teen, I was a receipt or random piece of paper person. Now I always have a bookmark handy if I am reading a physical book. I like to pick out a bookmark that compliments the book in some way. It’s hard to use bookmarks so beautiful as these though! Illumicrate included these The Gilded Wolves inspired bookmarks with character art by @gabriella.bujdoso and I am IN LOVE 😍 This is, by far, a favorite fantasy series of mine, and I adore these characters so much. This journey - of healing and growing and blooming and finding myself and finding my own inner peace - is not easy. Some days I find myself absolutely crushing it and staying on top of everything I can.. but sometimes, like recently, I’m the complete opposite.

I haven’t felt like myself lately. I’ve been more sensitive and irritable and down. I haven’t created in months. I haven’t written anything for months. I haven’t been exercising, stretching or meditating. I haven’t been there for my people like I should. I’ve just been off.

Whenever I’m going through a rough patch like this I try to figure out what the route cause is because let’s be real - it didn’t just happen. Even though I feel so much happiness throughout the holidays, this time of year is still tough for me and I’m letting it affect me more than I thought. Plus life has just been outrageously busy. Unfortunately, not having the people you love around is tough, especially during the holidays. However, I am forever grateful for the family, biological or chosen, that I have around me.

So with that said, I’m slowly pulling myself out of this rut. Today I felt more productive than I have in a while; I had a productive day at work, I exercised, meditated, stretched and wrote. I’ve also been throwing together the hiking videos I’ve put to the side.

I guess the point of this novel is that even when things are tough and it feels like it won’t get better, keep going. This too shall pass. ✨

I get high on deep conversations ...

Today's generation is all about uploading posts of their relationship in social media. We are so much into this virtual world , that often we forget to communicate with our partners. Some are so much into materialistic things, that they don't even know anything beyond those.

For once, just come out of these things. Put your mobile phones, laptops aside. Sit with your partner and talk. Talk about anything you want, talk about your family, your career, your past life or experiences, talk about your future, talk about what makes them happy, what makes them sad, food they like , or whatever you want. Sometimes these small things play a very big role in your relationship. Sometimes this small conversation can give you such a feeling which you won't get from your social media.

Have a deep conversation with your partner. Cause that's what we lack today. We don't communicate. And trust me a conversation with your partner will lead to your relationship to a new beginning. If you are having fights on a daily basis and you are ignoring, thinking time will resolve this. It won't be dear. All you are doing is stacking up all the grievances . Having a small conversation will help you resolve these problems.

Listen to each other. Put your thoughts in front of each other. Put your likes and dislikes in front of each other. Cause baby it's neither a fairy tale nor a romantic movie, that everything will go smoothly and happily, without struggles. You will have struggles , a lot of struggles, all you need to do is hold each other's hand and talk about those problems.

A deep conversation can sometimes lead you to know such a beautiful person, that you wouldn't have thought ever. Communication because there's a lot to know about each other.

Just a glimpse of how I see her… - @paigewilhog does so much work behind the scenes for so many people, it’s easy to lose sight of all she has accomplished in the time we’ve been together. But it’s all there. It’s funny sometimes when people ask, “did you see this,” or “have you heard of that,” for it to then be a project Paige has had some part of; though she would never ask for the recognition herself… And while it’s been a significant change shifting back to “office” work helping task manage side projects and helping more with @otto_von_wilber and our home, it’s been nice to have some time back with Paige among it all.
