Well, since Eurovision is happening again, I might as well remind you all about Lordi
Lordi is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Finland who won the Eurovision Song Contest (albeit with a largely different lineup) in 2006 with their song "Hard Rock Hallelujah"
The band is most well known for their 80's-inspired melodic hard rock sound and, of course, their elaborate monster costumes.
These guys are Eurovision royalty and should be treated as such. They made history in 3 different ways.
They were the first metal band to win the contest
They were the first Finnish act to make it to the top 5
They held the record for most points (292) at the time, until this record was beaten three years later by Alexander Rybak's "Fairytale" with 387 points
These guys are my favorite band of all time and are absolute legends, and if they don't occupy any space in your mind during Eurovision, they absolutely should. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Apparently there's an episode of Loud House where Lynn is revealed to be emetophobic.
To most, this may not be a big deal, but as someone who has dealt with severe emetophobia all their life, it's really cool to finally see a fictional character with this condition. It makes me feel less lonely if anything.
