When it rains we like to go out for a walk and make some minor adjustments to the water flow, especially in areas of new construction. As Abel says, "where water flows, life grows" This is very simple concept that we can apply everywhere. As development continues, we must carefully manage our water to reduce flash flooding, pollution and erosion while feeding all species of plants, animals, and humanity. Remember the 5 s's of water as a basic life feeding management system. 1. Slow it down 2. Spread it out 3. Soak it in 4. Store it 5. We are developing some morning chores for Abel. It is becoming quite an enjoyable father son experience too. When I was growing up, my family had horses in #FindlayOhio . My brother @matthewjaybunn and I had to go out in the morning and take care of the horses before school sometimes missing the bus. It taught us to be more responsible, to get up early, and a sense of work ethic. The project is really coming together. Today we finished another brick retaining wall next to the greenhouse. There are so many people that are making all of this possible including Yoder's Building supply for helping us with materials, plus David Thornton for helping us get the recycled bricks from Clemson's landfill, Andi Owens who is behind the scenes, and a HUGE THANK YOU to Hunter and Garrett, the remaining two interns who are toughing out the long hot days of endless bricklaying!
