Fan theory! (Excuse me if this is wrong. I don’t know anything about meteorology.)

So. A storm swept Luna from one continent across a massive ocean to another, seemingly unharmed. We see that in Burn’s ‘weirdling tower’ the same has happened to two other SilkWings, possibly more, but they weren’t so lucky.

How? Well I think that every decade (or so) a huge storm rolls across a certain path, crossing the Pantalan coast, possibly sweeping up some dragons, then turning around to go near (but not quite reach) the Phyrrian coast, before careening back off into the sea.

This makes some sense because the other two SilkWings clearly drowned just before reaching the beach. I think that Luna got lucky and was dragged to shore by the current.

Another interesting thing I noticed is that a similar storm hit Pantala just after ClearSight arrived, but it also covered the mainland and was much more destructive. Is it possible that its course and strength have changed?

So. I couldn’t decide which of these two incredible ideas to draw… here they both are as sisters. I gave them both the Forehead Diamond of Future Sight™️. MothSight is a puddle of anxious mess. She uses her powers to get out of awkward social situations. She’s a lot like ClearSight.

This, however, is her vibrant, outgoing sister, ClearFly. She uses her powers to cheat on tests and sells the answers. She’s a badass and so’s her LeafWing girlfriend.

Orca design because I'm thinking about reviving that AU where she won and became Queen. The scar is from the fight with Coral.

She'd have gifted the hatchery the statue at the same time as canon, but waited a few years to challenge Coral to ensure she'd have the strength to kill her without magic. Events play out as normal, Tsunami's egg being stolen/Turtle being born, until Anemone who manages to hatch just after Orca becomes Queen (the chaos of the war, Gill being captured, and disbelief that Coral would follow through with protecting Anemone delaying the challenge)

RainWing Headcanons:

They have trouble reading dragons with scales that don’t change, and often ask blunt questions like “what are you feeling right now” at random intervals of conversation because of this.

RainWings often keep rainforest animals as pets, ranging from the canon sloths to geckos or macaws.

RainWings naturally mimic the scale colour of the dragons they’re with.

They have a lot of music and story festivals handed down generations by ear.

RainWing eggs have translucent shells.

In DarkStalker’s time, most RainWings were travelling assassins, and were feared across the continent for their camouflage and venom.

Many RainWings, such as Pineapple, as mentioned by Luna in the Flames of Hope, do not have a resting scale colour.

Bromeliad resigned because of Kinkajou.

Glory and Kinkajou are both Orchid and Mangrove’s dragonets. At some point they will learn this when Kinkajou forces Glory to do a venom test because they ‘feel like sisters’ to her.

Turtle and Moon 10000% call Kinkajou ‘Kim’. Because yes.

Okay guys time for my most heartbreaking Glory headcanon. (TW: mention of abuse.)

Most RainWings have simple resting colours. Jambu is pink, for example. But Glory has this mess of green and orange and blue? Of course it’s pretty and that could be all, but what if that’s not the only reason?

I think that this is because of a RainWing is scarred badly enough, physically or mentally, they have to make a very conscious effort to push the Bad Colours out of their scales. Obviously, Glory spent her whole childhood hated by the guardians. They were canonically abusive, and because it was seven years stuck in that cave, a very traumatic experience for her, Glory’s anger (orange and red) her fear (green) and her sadness at not being the dragonet the guardians wanted her to be (blue) built up in her scales.

Now all the RainWings think she’s so confusing because she looks scared and furious, like a caged animal, whenever her scales shift to their resting patterns. They often ask her what’s wrong, but she gets confused/defensive about their questions.

hc during the winter months some hivewings will grow fuzzy hairs between their scales like bees to keep their bodies warm and active in the cold

is it unrealistic? yes. do I care? no. they could also shed their scales in some areas like the neck where new scales and hair will grow, the hair will eventually shed as the scales fully regrow in spring I don't know! they're dragons :3

Omw to make lynxfall ship art bc they are perfect for each other and I love them w my whole heart.

Also like lil headcanons:

- Snowfall is a demiromantic, asexual lesbian (she/her) and Lynx is a lesbian demigirl (she/they)

- Lynx adores pet names (especially coming up w ridiculously adorable ones for snowfall)

- Lynx fell first, Snowfall fell harder

- Snowfall is taller but is more lanky and Lynx is buffer or somethin (doesn’t stop Lynx from constantly borrowing snowfalls cloths)

- totally went stargazing once and snowfall said it was “too sappy” (she secretly loved it)

- Lynxs love language is physical touch/quality time and snowfalls is words of affirmation

I will defend thorn as queen with my life, i DONT care how much people say "oh burn would have been good" or "oh but blister" no they were are evil asf, we needed another queen because they were all fundamentally flawed and would lead to a corrupt kingdom in some way.

I feel like one of the points of tension in the sand wing succession war was that none of them were actually good queens, making the fight for the throne harder.
