So once again, a lot has changed. For the whole month of June I participated in a writing project and wrote a prequel to Rise Up called Shattering World. (And I had to write a lot of it on my breaks at work). But as I wrote it, I realized how much my world had changed. And looking back on Rise Up, I realized that I could do better. My plan is to start a rewrite, that will hopefully be better. Thanks for your patience and sorry I'm bad with keeping up with social media. I'll post a link to Shattering World as well.

Alright, who wants some lore that doesn't technically matter to the main plot? I like it anyway and wish I could incorporate it in somehow.

Anyway, about Deadlock. Deadlock was a mech who struggled with finding his place in society. And as such, ended up as a street mech in Iacon, struggling to scrounge together whatever energy and shanix he could. He ended up meeting and befriending another street mech named Hot Rod. The two relied on each other for survival. But then they learned of a rising faction, the Autobots. The Autobot recruiters promised them energon, shanix, and even power. The two were sold and began their training.

Deadlock started having doubts though. The Autobots to him seemed brutal. But Hot Rod was into it. He was very eager to climb the Autobot ranks. He had even changed his name to Rodimus. Deadlock's doubts would only grow when he completed his training and was sent on his first assignment. He was meant to patrol Iacon and uphold Autobot Law. But he was horrified at what he witnessed. The Autobots would kill, threaten, and steal without mercy. He tried to tell Rodimus what he was witnessing, but Rodimus' response was to shoot him in the spark and leave him for dead in the Iaconian streets.

Deadlock awoke in some unknown medbay. He was surrounded by the rebels known as Decepticons, the mechs he had been taught were evil. After calming down about his initial fear and panic, the Decepticons told Deadlock the truth about the Autobots. Despite the fact he had been shown some of the evils of the Autobots, it took him some time to fully accept the truth. Once he did, he was offered a chance to join the Decepticons. But he wasn't sure he could.

He decided to travel the planet himself, trying to avoid the war as best as he could. He named himself Drift, in an attempt to separate himself from his troubled past. Soon he realized he couldn't run from the war, but felt he was too cowardly to fight. Instead, he decided to try and help the injured left behind on the battlefield. And if they can't be saved, he will try and stay with them until they die.

Every once in a while, he'll think back on his past. Sometimes, he misses Hot Rod. But he realizes, like Deadlock, Hot Rod no longer exists.

Skywarp and Thundercracker

The trinemates of Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker are often seen as a bit odd, or even a nuisance at times. Despite this, Starscream loves them very much.

Thundercracker is a bit of a secretive mech. He’s also very cynical and even a bit mean at times. In the days before the war, he was very involved with protests and wanted the Vosian elite to be completely abolished due to their cruel and oppressive systems they imposed on the citizens. Anonymously, he wrote many letters and poems about Vos’ political situation, and called for change. He was arrested on many occasions by Vosian authorities for his actions, but never lost determination. These days, he doesn’t exactly like to dwell on that past, perhaps due to trauma stemming from Vos’ bombing. Regardless, he never stopped fighting for what he believes in.

Skywarp is often considered stupid, and has been mocked for it. But her positive disposition mostly prevents him from being affected the mockery. For the longest time, he played his part in Vosian society, fulfilling her factory work purpose. But there was one thing she has always had a passion for: Vosian dance. He was always eager to watch the performances, and even wanted to one day dance like the performers. After the bombing of Vos, Skywarp underwent a frame change, to resemble a Vosian dancer. He committed to learning every dance he can. And beyond that, she has developed a sort of dance and martial arts combination to fight.

While I'm still working on the mechanics of the Cybertronian language and it's dialects, I'm guessing the word would translate to something like 'red yellow', referring to the color being a blend of the two. Might have to think about how Cybertronian works.

Question for anyone with Transformers fan continuity:

If there are no oranges on Cybertron, then by what name is the color orange called by cybertronians?

“With pleasure.”  Starscream smirks at the message from Silvermaw, one of Soundwave’s adopted humans, now an uploaded mind inhabiting various drone bodies.

There’s a few down dethawed insecticon grubs writhing around in the bowl in front of khyr.

Kha decides to open up the Sparkling Livestream channel. Instead of cute seeker babies, this time around….its just shrieking and panicking insecticon grubs. They try to wriggle out of the bowl

Starscream grins at the camera.

“Hello to my audience, you’re here for a very special treat.  It’s rare you get to see the Cybertronian ecosystem in action, with the loss of our home planet and the devastation of its ecosystem.” Starscream sounds sad as kha says this, and then kha sounds jubiliant.

Luckily for us, my titan-ship and home, the Nemesis was retrofitted into a colony ship and it can spawn all manner of life forms to recreate our lost homeland.

This before me, is the larval stage of wild insecticons.  Yes, I had my ship spawn these, little shits just for this. Of course, many of you are descended from humans who suffered underneath their cruel claws. And to you my dear human watchers, I dedicate this stream to you.

How's your mukbang channel going, Screamer?

Starscream scowls at the ask. Khyr lip plates twist and khyr red optics eye roll. 

The ornery seeker is splooting, great wings displayed with glimmering and flashing holofeathers. A plate of squeaking rubbery dumplings sits before khyr. One dumpling whines sadly as a fork sticks out of it.

Khyr crown of holo feathers flattens in irritation.

“Today’s episode was on grub dumplings but *someone had to interrupt*.”

“HIIIIIIIIIIII.”

Laserbeak waves with a gleeful arm-wing. She’s perched on top of Starscream and her data cable reaches out and plucks a grub dumpling from the dish. She weftly weaves it in between Starscream’s attempts to claw it back.

The dumpling squeals.

Starscream screeches.

“Go bother someone else!”

“Nope! You’re my new favorite creator!!!”

The dumpling screams as it disappears down Laserbeak’s maw.

Laserbeak chirrs happily.

“YOU HAVE AN OLD DEPLOYER FRAME TO EAT!”

“You’re right!”

“NO, TAKE THAT GRUB DUMPLING BACK!”

Starscream tries to scrabble for more of the dumplings, but Laserbeak’s too fast for khyr.

Her data cables have snagged more of the squealing shrieking dumplings and she sandwiches them between old plating, torn from her old wing plating

“Where did you get that?!”

“See everyone! Dumpling deployer wing sandwiches!”

Laserbeak’s face screen flashes with ^w^ as she pats the sandwich.

The dumplings shriek in fear as they are squished.

Her maw opens up wide.

William Lennox stares into the camera. He is Not Amused.

His face is like this.

A giant plane cat is loafing before him with kir tail fins shunting and flapping in interest as ke stares him down with wide optics.

The plane cat raises its massive paw.

A teeny laser pointer comes out of its index claw.

The plane cat waggles the red dot at Lennox’s feet.

He Does Not Chase The Laser.

The plane cat, named Misfire has kir massive ear-dishes droop. Kir facial sensory attenae drop down as well.

The laser is waggled over to a nearby “cat-tree” but for humans.

“Please??? Commander Lennox, sir???”

Lennox sighs.

He Chases The Laser Pointer.

He Climbs The Human-Tree.

The carpet texture is very soft and plush.

He slaps the laser.

Misfire cheers.

On stream, Misfire flashes a thumbs up to the Sparkling Livestream audience. Lennox looks very Not Amused as he sits on the human-tree with his cat-ear headband!

“See! Humans also like to chase laser pointers just like Seekers!!! They need enrichment just like us!!”

Lennox sighs as he wraps a blanket around himself that he found on the Human-Tree.

A jet black shuttle frame approaches, glaring. "Star, I know you're here. I want to talk, and I won't take no for an answer." his gaze and tones suddenly softens. "Please, my lucky Star, don't be mad. I know we had our troubles in the past, but why don't we move past them? Just let me talk. I promise I didn't mean all those cruel things I said in the past."

Starscream snarls. This mech is wearing the face of khyr dead creator.

Khyr plating ripples and flares out, long cooling feathers unfurl and bristle out like long sharp attenae.

“YOU AREN’T XEM!”

With a scream and a roar, kha rips off the faceplate’s from the imposter Skyfire.

“Hey, Scwee Scwee! These are some fragging great chips!” Rumble waves to Screamer, as he shovels a bag of metallic looking plating into his maw.

“Yeah! Howlback loves this shit!” Howlback is digging into her own bowl of chips as Frenzy rolls on top of a pile of them.

Starscream just smiles, and light flashes off khyr sharp denta.

Cast for the deleted ideas ask meme?

Truthfully, I had to dig deep in my mind to remember who I've deleted from TFRU. There are only two characters I deleted, Astrotrain and a human friend named Lucas Zhang. Astrotrain was replaced by Colossa, just beacause I wanted to use an oc. Lucas was planned to be a friend of Ruby, who was obsessed with looking for extraterrestrials and discovering proof of them. As much as I love the idea of his character, I don't have room for him. I definitely am going to keep his character in mind for future projects though.
