general update

Aww you guys I am literally in tears right now (good tears for once!)

I have been lying on the couch crying for most of the day from being sad & everyone has been so great, @ohpeachyy came over & let the dogs out to pee, Crawford’s cousin took Layla to the park for me, @sparklyzales brought me fruit last night & washed dishes today, & @genderfluid-vagitarian brought me food, cooked dinner, & helped clean, I’ve gotten texts, everyone has been amazing. I was already overwhelmed by how nice everyone was & then I get online & I have like a million messages & someone started a freaking Gofundme & asdfasfasfsffa I love you all.

I am going to try to get back to all the messages individually, unfortunately I’m very weak–I think it’s a combination of dehydration, taking too many pain pills yesterday, & stress, but I can’t sit up for more than a few minutes without getting nauseous & feeling like I need to nap, so it might be a little while. I really do appreciate everything.

I had a ton of people asking about donating & I definitely don’t want to pressure anyone or make it sound like I’m begging, but if you’re at all able to give even a little bit, I’d really, really appreciate it–like I said, please don’t feel pressured, this whole thing is my fault for not having full coverage insurance on my car so I’m not expecting anyone to get me out of this mess, but I already have a $385 bill for the towing company to sweep pieces of the car out of the road, $50-90 bill for the towing company to hold the car for two days, & a $150 ticket to pay for “following too close”….unfortunately, the accident is considered my fault because I rear-ended someone, but it’s kind of screwed up because he swerved into my lane at the last second with no blinker, so I told my insurance company I wanted to contest it. I’m not sure how hard they’re going to fight because I don’t have full coverage so they’re not really going to care either way, but there is a small chance something will come of it, so fingers crossed. I am expecting my medical bills to probably be anywhere from several hundred to $1000 even with my health insurance. I am going to try to get into a doctor tomorrow, my right foot is definitely broken, looking like in several places & it’s not just my toe so it’s going to need medical attention. I owe $6000 on my car & chances are good it’s going to be completely totaled/not salvageable, so I’ll get like $200 for it for scrap metal, so I’m going to have a loan to pay off with no car to show for it, in which case I won’t be able to afford to get a new car & I’ll be relying on Uber & the bus for a year or so until I can get my finances back under control. If it costs less than $4000 to fix it, I’m leaning towards getting another loan to get it fixed, but payments are going to be tough to make, especially since I’ll no longer be able to Uber in it since that’ll probably still result in a lot of body damage & it has to be pretty for Uber.

I don’t mean to ramble about everything going on, but basically, things are really, really bad right now. I have been in some shitty situations & this is by far the worst & I don’t really have any positives to speak of other than how incredibly nice people are being. I am not going to lie, part of me wishes I had been killed in the accident because this just seems really hopeless & like things aren’t going to get better, but I am trying. I really, really appreciate all the nice messages, donations, & thoughts/prayers, I can’t put into words how much they mean to me. Thank you all, I don’t deserve any of this & I’m very, very touched.
