“My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to find peace with exactly who and what I am. To take pride in my thoughts, my appearance, my talents, my flaws and to stop this incessant worrying that I can’t be loved as I am.”

Hey you! 👋
We are back into it this autumn with some Wellness Wednesdays, and we would like to wish you a very warm welcome back.
We are making our way into the colder days, one step at a time. If you need a little help to look after your well-being, Wellness Wednesdays might just do the trick. We are here with some helpful resources, including mood-boosting quizzes and sunny playlists for the darker months.
First things first. Let’s get things started with the fine folk from @kokobot, who has kindly provided this interactive quiz to keep you in good mind. And if you’re struggling through these longer days, why not click here to start an anonymous chat with Kokobot, access further resources, or share what’s on your mind?
A quiz is not your vibe? Maybe this playlist curated by the one and only @samarajoysings
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the classes this week:

Self-care is critical during the healing journey.
Rest is necessary. You cannot keep pushing yourself forever, take time for rest or rest will make time. You deserve rest, and rest is not a failing.

Daily Gratitude
December 3, 2023
What are you grateful for today?
Welcome to my gratitude support group! All are welcome to be a part of the gratitude crew. Re-blog, write a note or send an ask as often as makes sense for you (just once, every day, twice a year, a few times a month— doesn’t matter!)
I tag some of the crew several times a week. If you’d like to be on the tag list let me know.
All posts will be tagged ‘resiliencewithin’s daily gratitude group’.
Prompt (if you want): Set an intention of something you want to be grateful for tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year.

Just as I was about to wrap up my morning social media scrolling, I saw this post. It was a great reminder to stop scrolling and build trust in myself by respecting my self-imposed cut-off time.
What are small ways you build trust in yourself?

Your emotions are valid, and granting yourself the freedom to express them is a beautiful act of self-care and self-compassion.
Let’s support each other in embracing our emotions, validating our feelings, and understanding that sometimes, the most powerful healing begins with a simple release of tears.
It’s OKAY to Cry. It’s OKAY to Feel.
gentle reminder that crying is actually one of the best things you can do to relieve all that tension and emotion in your brain, and not to resist the impulse because it's 'weak' or 'unnecessary' or 'a plea for attention.' if you need to cry, do it, even if you don't always know the reason. your body does.

Holiday Blues with Tumblr
The mornings are getting darker. The evenings are, too. It’s a little chillier, don't you think? Well, if you start feeling a little blue around the holidays, we might have something for you. We call it Holiday Blues, and it’s back for 2023.
You probably know the score by now. If you don’t, here’s a little intro to make your acquaintance. We are partnering with social good brands, mental health experts, and mindfulness aficionados to bring you the essential winter toolkit—and help you thrive during the darker months. Enough is happening right now to feel overwhelmed without these LONG, drawn-out days. If you suffer from S.A.D. (AKA seasonal depression) or struggle to offer yourself the right self-care, Tumblr and friends are bringing these small acts of nourishment straight to you. It takes very little time, very little energy, and doesn’t cost a thing.
How does it work? Easy-peasy. If you turn up, we will look after you. Over the coming weeks, we have classes tailor-made for TLC: space meditations, movement, music, and self-care.
What’s happening?
Mindful Mondays: Out-of-this-world mindfulness session for a calming start to your week with @nasa.
Wellness Wednesdays: Mood-boosting quizzes from @kokobot, playlists, and tips.
Flex Friday: A five-part series on tenderness with Indwell Collaborative.
Self-Care Sunday: Reflections on affirmations, trust, friendship, and a focus on mental wellness with @therapyforblackgirls.
Some tips:
SHOW UP! And we’ll take it from there.
No stress necessary. Leave your worries at the door
Make time for YOU! There’s always time for some self-love.
It’s YOUR healing journey, and you do it your way.
One final note:
Like, share, be there. It’s all good vibes, and it’s for everyone on Tumblr. Help us beat the holiday blues by using #holidayblueswithtumblr, and share Monday’s meditations, a tip or trick from Wellness Wednesday, the feel-good from Flex Friday, or some soothing soul nourishment from Self-Care Sunday.

For some of us, self-love can be hard to do. I’m still learning and practicing self-love every day, even as an adult.
Learning to love ourselves isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly transformative. It’s about embracing our imperfections, celebrating our uniqueness, and treating ourselves with the kindness and compassion we readily offer others.
What is Self-Love?
Self-love is a continuous practice—a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. It’s acknowledging our worth, honoring our feelings, and nurturing our well-being.
Ways to Cultivate Self-Love:
1. Mindful Reflection: Take a moment today to find something beautiful about yourself—your resilience, your kindness, or your courage.
2. Self-Care Rituals: Engage in activities that nourish your soul—whether it’s a peaceful walk, a creative endeavor, or moments of mindfulness.
3. Positive Affirmations: Speak to yourself with love and encouragement. Remind yourself of your strengths and applaud your progress.
4. Setting Boundaries: Prioritize your well-being. Establish boundaries that honor and protect your mental and emotional health.
5. Supportive Connections: Surround yourself with people who uplift and appreciate you for who you are.
Why Is Self- Love Important?
Self-love forms the foundation for a fulfilling life. When we love ourselves, we invite positivity, resilience, and meaningful relationships—with ourselves and others.
Remember: You are Worthy, You are Enough!
Join me in celebrating self-love every day! Share your self-love tips, cherished self-care routines, or affirmations in the comments below. Let’s inspire each other on this beautiful journey of embracing our unique beauty and worthiness.
