How did you shift for the first time? What was your journey like before you shifted for the first time?
Itā€™s a very long story. I had been trying on and off for about four years now. Still trying again. Im sorry, I keep rewriting this cause my ADHD and canā€™t seem to phrase things exactly what I want to. I shifted by trying various ways and being really consistent with it. I would actually put effort into it and be in a more positive mindset. I set intentions with myself and practiced affirmations because that is what really worked with me. I used a subliminal I randomly found on YouTube and turned it down low. It was hard. Iā€™m not going to deny it. But it took a lot of growing and maturing tbh for me. But thatā€™s just what it took for my mind to recognize that shifting is real and take that leap to shift.
Every journey is different. Mine may not be the same for others. Iā€™ve seen people shift on the first try or some whom have taken years to do. Every journey is different. Some use methods, subliminals, affirmations, etc while others donā€™t. Whatever works for you. You just kind of have to try a few different things and see what you feel like is working better for you. There is not exact one way to shift.
You will shift. Its inevitable. You got this. Love ya! ā™„ļø

Random question: Is Damian guilty of baby talking to his pets or animals in general šŸŽ¤
*neevously sweating* W-Whaaatā€¦ noo.
Yes. Yes, yes he does.
Itā€™s rare though. He mostly talks to them very professional like. But heā€™s very serious about his animals. He has very specific food, bowls, bedding, everything he has for them has been thoroughly researched by him for his animals. We refer to them as his kids sometimes. He does not deny it but doesnā€™t call them that himself.
He babies them all.

I know nothing about DC, but wanna try shifting there, anything I should know that you can tell me as heads up so I don't make a stupid mistake or anything to avoid in particular?
There are so many things I could say for this one.
First of all, my universe and that one youā€™re going to may be different and thus have different problems, people, events, etc. so, while some of this advice might be great for my universe, but I hope it also works for you as well.
Mentally recognize/script/or have a job that you make FANTASTIC wage/money at. Or that youā€™ve been building up your savings since you were a child. Money is great to have and not to worry about.
Also, mentally recognize that you might have healing abilities, great mental/physical support system, and etc. this will severely help you. Even if youā€™re not a vigilante or whatever you want in your desired reality. Itā€™s great to have. Maybe make sure that you have been studying various languages, practical knowledge (like how to undo knots, etc), have some self defense training, and have some common sense since you were a child in your DR. Having a great mental and physical support system will literally do you wonders, trust me. Maybe recognize that you have a dependable therapist and friends/family for your emotional and mental health. It sounds foolish but seriously, it will help. Especially if youā€™re planning to be a hero/vigilante or something. Or not. Whatever you do imma support you. ā™„ļø
Please, please, please do not make the League of Assass*ns as one of your enemies unless you canā€™t avoid it. Or Deathstroke. šŸ˜šŸ’€
If you are a superhero/vigilante/whatever, have multiple suits. At least two.
I know itā€™s tempting but donā€™t start a semi-serious prank war with Tim Drake. Save yourself.
Remember that people in different universe will act different. Bruce Wayne is not going to look, act, be exactly like how ours is in this universe. You may have an idea of your relationship with them or how they act already, and thatā€™s awesome! Just keep in mind that they might not be exactly how theyā€™re portrayed in this universe via movies, shows, comic books, and so on. It doesnā€™t mean that theyā€™re terrible or anything but that they are still people. Just like how we are in this universe, they are people too.
Cities sometimes literally stink. So yeah. Just a heads up. Especially Gotham. The Batfamily (if you ever deal with them) are usually always at war/sibiling fighting with one another. But unless you grew up with them or have very strong ties, they are all very weary of others. So are the Superfam and the Arrowfam. <- theyā€™re not always kind of fighting with one another but theyā€™re cautious of outsiders. After all the things theyā€™ve all been through, itā€™s understandable.
Do NOT go to any of the Robins/former Robins for relationship advice. Ever. Go to Lois Lane instead.
Prepare for a lot of exercising and training. Thereā€™s no way around it. šŸ˜ Iā€™m sorry- good luck bestie.
Most importantly: make mistakes.
Itā€™s how people learn. Itā€™s okay. Itā€™s how we grow. There is nothing wrong with making a mistake. You are allowed to. I made tons and will probably continuing doing so. Thereā€™s nothing wrong about that, itā€™s just how we grow. You got this. Hope this helps.
ā™„ļø Have fun shifting! ā™„ļø

I know nothing about DC comics and I'm trying to shift there, how bad of an idea is this?
Itā€™s not a bad idea.. There are some protective measures I would take though.
Like mentally recognize/script that you are protected, or have healing powers. I personally have healing abilities so it makes things a lot easier. Things like that; things you think you could use or need in your desired reality are important.
Itā€™s really fun in my opinion. I would definitely recommend. ā™„ļøā™„ļøā™„ļø

Can you tell us more about Damian please?
Also, how is his relationship with Bruce?
Okay, so this is kind of complicated.
So Damian is wellā€¦ Damian. I grew up with him as my younger brother. I became Batgirl when I was sixteen and Robin/Damian was already ten. He was still seriously struggling with his relationship with Bruce.
Damian and Bruce both have a lot of anger issues and is easily overwhelmed and frustrated. Bruce has dealt with it for years but still struggles a lot more with his anger. Damian has grown up with a much better support system than Bruce did, and therefore has been actually dealing with his trauma and anger more. So while they donā€™t always get along, they have that strained father and child relationship growing up. It wasnā€™t until kind of recently, now that Damian is seventeen, that he has been more forgiving and understanding, especially towards Bruce.
But Damian was still a little sh*t. Think youngest child but times three. Love him tho. But yeah, he has a much better relationship now with Bruce than he did as a kid. As a kid, it was always strained and kind of awkward with one another. Like they didnā€™t know how to act with each other or were low key mad at each other at all times. But itā€™s better now and theyā€™re pretty close. Sorry I hope this helps. ā™„ļø
If you have any specific questions about Damian, Iā€™ll be happy to answer. Iā€™m just not exactly sure of what to say. Heā€™s a little brat, a bit spoiled. But really efficient and funny tbh. Heā€™s super serious when it comes to dating or if anyone is dating any of his sisters (Stephanie, Cass, and I). Like he will go undercover/follow the dates. He has no problem threatening/embarrassing people if he doesnā€™t like them. Heā€™s a great Robin, very stubborn about certain things. He has a bit of OCD, especially when it comes to his art supplies or animals (things heā€™s very extreme about). Loves tea, dislikes (but not hate) coffee. He prefers spicy food. He loves the colors of green and blue. He likes manga and comic books, (Jon and I introduced him to it). He loves hiking. He likes small gifts, like a book, pencils, small plants, etc. He named all the plants with me in my garden. Prefers sketching/drawing and painting. Heā€™s grown up a lot and much more mature (less stubborn/more trustful) now. Heā€™s one of my favorite brothers tbh. (Does gloat about that). Once gave him a small, green adventurine crystal (ā€˜cause I collect crystals) and he threw it at Tim.
Please feel free to ask any more questions. ā™„ļø

You all love Damian so much, but can you love the way he smells like an animal?? He literally always has cat and dog hair on him, although he does try to wipe it off (he usually has a lint roller in his backpack).
He always smells a little bit like cats and dogs.

How often do you encounter Batmanā€™s rogues galleryļæ¼. ļæ¼ is it usually just Low level street crime during patrol, or like investigations pinned up with people like black mask or croc. Like how often are you encounteringļæ¼ major league villains. ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼
Sorry for the late reply. Itā€™s finals and Iā€™m dying a little. Sorry I tried to explain this the best I can.
It honestly depends whether or not Iā€™m in Gotham and what Iā€™m doing.
Now, Gotham is surprisingly a big place.
Think like Chicago or New York City.
Itā€™s huge, dirty, crowded, and riddled crazy with crime.
Itā€™s not likely that youā€™ll run into Killer Croc or The Riddler while grabbing a cup of coffee somewhere. But sometimes, rarely, you do run into them throughout the day if youā€™re wandering around in Gotham long enough. Itā€™s a pretty low chance.
But the chance is always there.
After starting my career in vigilantism, and made the decision to stay in Gotham for it, I did often run into the Rouges Gallery. But itā€™s was pretty well balanced with street crime too. Like sometimes youā€™re fighting The Penguin and sometimes youā€™re fighting some low level thief. Both are criminals that need to be arrested. Sometimes there were these, like, waves of criminal activity through Gotham. Like it was crazy busy with crime in one second, or your fighting Poison Ivyā€™s latest criminal plan. Then the next, your fighting some fool that stole a car.
To be honest, I ran into them semi-often. But, especially at the start of my crime fighting days, I very rarely ever dealt with them. Batman preferred to do that and didnā€™t really want me involved with that too much. Until I forced my way into that. Thatā€™s when I started seeing them semi-often. But I have my own kind of Rouges Gallery. So I mostly let Batman or the Red Hood deal with theirs. Also, interrogation was never my strong suit. Still kind of isnā€™t. But Black Mask is such a pain tbh so.
But I often encounter some others such as Deathstroke or Raā€™s Al Ghul. Theyā€™re a major pain and very difficult to deal with. If you can, avoid them. ā™„ļø please be safe.

How close are the JL as civilians? I'm shifting as one of their kids and I want to ATLEAST have some kind of basis of what my relationship would be like with the JL member beside my parent.
Iā€™m so sorry for the late reply. ā™„ļø
Letā€™s get things started. Remember, every universe is different. So although these would be how the JL members I know in my world act, this may not be the entirely the same case in your world. And thatā€™s totally okay.
The Justice League in my world consists of:
Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, The Flash, The Green Arrow, Cyborg, Aquaman, and The Martian Manhunter.
In my world, the JL members are really close. You kind of have to be close with one another, when you literally have to put your life in another handā€™s.
You have to spend time with these people, fight with them, share trauma with them. You spend countless late nights with these people. Youā€™re bound to talk to each other at some point. And after a while, you get to know your partners and they become friends.
After several years of doing this, fighting the good fight, working together, helping one another, youā€™re going to be pretty close with these people. And that exactly applies to the JL members.
As civilians, they act like really old friends with one another. Honestly, after everything theyā€™ve been through together, theyā€™ve learnt to rely on one another. And not just for fighting and for Justice League matters, but as a weird found family.
With that being said, the JL are filled with a bunch of weirdos. I love them all, but they are. These funky little guys all got together cause they wanted to help people, but their weird, abnormal selves were able to build this sense of a makeshift family. Theyā€™re not entirely sure how to act as a beings, much less as a family. So they found ways to adapt and become one.
Honestly, especially if your the child/apprentice of a JL member, the way your treated will be different. Kids of the JL members will be treated differently than other kids/superheroes/etc.
Everyone knows those kids are off limits. And will be fiercely protected/a bit spoiled. But at the same time, they will have a much higher expectation of you than others. There is a good bit of pressure on you because of that. And Iā€™m sorry. But I do understand being under that kind of pressure. Your feelings are valid. And please, please, please donā€™t be afraid to voice your concerns and feelings- like ever, okay?
You will probably call them their aunts and uncles. I do that. ā€œUncle Bruceā€, ā€œAunt Dianaā€, ā€œUncle Barryā€, and so on. Expect for ā€œUncle Barryā€ or ā€œUncle Clarkā€to babysit you when your parent canā€™t watch you. Expect you to have a loooot of ā€œcousinsā€ (various other kids of JL members; like Nightwing, etc).
Aunt Diana will take you out for ice-cream after every game/event/after school thing you do (the times sheā€™s allowed to pick you up- depends on whoā€™s your parents. Sheā€™s a very supportive Aunt.) Uncle Bruce pretty much letā€™s you go with his kids and do whatever (so long as itā€™s not too irresponsible or dangerous). Uncle Cyborg will play games and watch movies with you. Uncle Barry plays card and board games with and takes to various places, like the movies or a fun activity. Uncle Jā€™onn will play games and have really fun discussions with you. (Buy him cookies and you can bribe him-) Uncle Oliver is a bit awkward to be totally honest, but heā€™s nice. Heā€™ll might teach you how to use a bow and arrows but be very strict about it. I never really hung out with my Uncle Arthur, so Iā€™m not entirely sure what to explain for him. Iā€™m sorry. But he was sometimes there at the family dinners/barbecues. He is nice, but I just never really hung out with him, outside of family parties and Justice League matters.
Youā€™ll make really fun and interesting memories. ā™„ļø
Edit: I dead*ss forgot my Uncle Arthur/Aquaman.šŸ’€ I included him in this updated version.
