The Noise of Licking (animation still)
The animated story of a plant-loving woman and her voyeuristic cat
Budapest-based artist Nadja Andrasev’s animations are darkly playful, telling stories about the stranger side of human behaviors. A graduate of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, her multi-award-winning film A nyalintás nesze (The Noise of Licking), which premiered in the Cinéfondation Selection at Cannes Film Festival, tells the story of “a voyeur cat, a woman with an excessive love for plants, and a peculiar visitor in a fur hat.”
