This is how Thorfinn looks when Gudrid tries to do something to him, in a physical sense! Scenarios will be like:

Gudrid would always hug him in bed, but this time, she wants him to hug her. "Thorfinn" she tiredly whispers, outstretching her arms behind her, searching for her husband, she later felt him, lightly patting him to wake up, in which he groans softly and he turns to her direction and automatically wrapped his arms around her waist, she instantly blushes and is fully awake at the sudden action he did, "wh-wha, Thor-Thorfinn?" She whisper panic as she looked over her shoulder to see him sound asleep, his face was soon hiding in the crook of her neck, feeling his soothing warm breathe fanning her bare neck sent instant chills down her spine.

Her heart can beat out of her chest any second now. Did he plan to do this? Maybe he saw he offended her earlier today and mindlessly did thus action? No, maybe he connected the dots that I want him to hug me like how I always hug him in bed?? Gudrid couldn't help but ask questions in her head as she slowly started getting tired from overthinking.

When she tried to move away, Thorfinn would tighten his grip around her waist to not make sure she doesn't escape his grasp.

Once morning as finally come, he notices how Gudrid was always hugging her own waist, he would tilt his head in confusion to why this is.

"Does your waist hurt Gudrid?" He asks coming up beside her, making her flinch and turned to his direction before quickly looking down, "uhm, well you see, you, uh... Sorta, uhm" before she could form words and say it, Thorfinn's brows were knitted together before finally saying, "wait, did I hit you on your waist by my nightmares?!" Gudrid looks at him waving her hands infront of him and shaking her head for no, "you didn't hit me! I promise you that, it's just, you uh. Hugged me, by my waist last night..."

Thorfinn calming down and relief to hear he didn't hit his wife, but tilted his head confused, looking all pure and innocent, "I hugged you by the waist, last night?" Gudrid blushes insanely hard remembering the feel of his calloused hand gently but firmly wrapped around her waist, "why are you hugging your waist then?"

"Well because I, I want to feel it. Again" she carefully and slowly said as she looks down, feeling hot all over. She later heard her husband softly chuckling, making her look up at him, "you're so, cute, Gudrid" before she could say anything, in a blink of an eye Thorfinn snakes his arms around her waist and hugging her like that, resulting her arms to raise up to hold his shoulders.

"I-uh, Th-Thorf-Thorfinn, uhm"

"You also smell nice today"

"Th-th-th"

Her cheeks hotter than ever, heart beat racing a mile per hour, knowing for sure he feels it racing, and if things couldn't get anymore worse but isn't cause Gudrid is in Cloud 9, Thorfinn softly kisses her neck, ticking it off for her and her legs immediately turned jelly and lost strength to stand up.

"Woah, Gudrid.." he worryingly said as he grips her waist more firmly and looked at her, seeing she passed out from such a subtle move from her husband, but she's still alive and breathing, just went over the edge on this one.

"Hah, oh Gudrid." He softly chuckles and soon carried her bridal style back to their house made in Vinland, Einar seeing everything, pointing at the passed out Gudrid, "I was just hugging her by the waist cause I so happen to do it last night, and then she passed out" his best friend blinks before bursting out a laugh, "wah that woman really really loves you brother, hence the reason she passed out ay?"

Patting his shoulders before walking away, Thorfinn just chuckles in response and shaking his head before walking inside their house, laying her down on their cot. Kissing her forehead before doing the work he was previously doing.

YESS!! I also read the manga after finishing 2 seasons of Vinland Saga, and literally almost straight off the bat, they showed Gudrid and as the manga goes, it shows bits of them two and how she always thinks about him, especially that manga panel that's for sure going to show on season 3, where she complained to Einar how desperately she wants to help Thorfinn when he was left with Hild to feed off the Jomsvikings. BRUHH I'M EXCITED IN A WAY TO SEE MY FAVORITE COUPLE GET ANIMATED

so, something that’s been understandably consistent between s1 and s2 is that the beats of the final episode are somewhat embellished to make it feel like The Ending Of A Season.  looking at war in the baltic, it seems like the final episode will feature that almost-duel with thorkell and MORE IMPORTANTLY gudfinn canon question mark??–a beat I’ve always thought was a bit under set-up in the manga, despite loving it.  but s2 really gives me hope that they’ll take care to lean into that romantic subplot throughout and give the payoff more love, if it’s one of the last plot beats of the season,,,

listen I know thorf is.  pretty clueless.  and that is a charming thing about him.  but it would be nice to see him catch feelings on his end a lil bit!!  like on the one hand it absolutely makes sense for gudrid to get all doki-doki over the rescue and the post-rescue hug, and those things do work best when it’s thorfinn being selfless and earnest, and it’s refreshing to see them just interact as people and not as a Man And Woman TM.  but it does make it feel in the end like,,,, it’s hard to imagine him saying “yes gudrid I have feelings for you” after that damn cliffhanger of a page, you know??  I THINK THEY’RE SWEET I ENJOY THEIR MOMENTS BUT U GOTTA SELL ME ON IT BUD!!

Comforting Words and Touches

Ever since Gudrid and Thorfinn became a married couple, things got rough in the beginning, remembering the time where she got so shocked from hearing his screams, groans and moans of terror, waking up from every nightmare, but deep down, she wants to help him, she didn't resent him for the crimes and sins he committed in the past, the version of him right now is what matters to her.

From 2 years of traveling together to becoming a married couple is a long jump for sure. That day when Gudrid confesses her feelings towards Thorkell the Tall, things took a turn for them both. But ever since they got married and started sharing beds, Thorfinn hated the idea of waking her up and their adopted son Karli from their slumber.

But being together for 2 years in the boat sailing, they both got used to it, Gudrid would even wake up first to see him his nightmares are about to start, and helps prevent it.

Tonight was no different. Although they had a long tiring day, Gudrid woke up from her husband's moans and groans of terror once again, she's used to the regimen that she calls out his name and shake him up to awake. Karli practically slept through it like a rock, Thorfinn was sweating bullets, panting incredibly hard as he searches for his wife, seeing she was on top of him, "I'm sorry, I had another--" "nightmare, I know Thorfinn" she said it rather casually and yawns, "I can just sleep by the barn--" "no, you're not going anywhere" he stopped his tracks, half way to getting up when his wife's small delicate hands pins him back down in their cot.

"Look at your son, he slept through it cause he got used to it already, and so do I."

"You'll get tired of me on the long run Gudrid"

"No I won't, why? Cause I love you, you're my husband and I'm your wife, I vowed that to you, and I'm keeping my vow, till death do us part"

His wife soon cuddle up close to him, hugging his arm and her head resting on his shoulders, "plus I love sleeping like this, close to your scent" she says happily while at the same time sniffing in his comforting scent, Thorfinn looks down at his wife in adoration, thanking God or Odin for gifting and blessing him such an understanding, beautiful, and wise wife into his life, despite the countless deaths, his nightmares has gotten far less horrifying that she's here.

"Thank you my love"

"Of course Thorfinn. I love you, and nothing's going to change that okay?"

He hums deeply as he felt his wife shifting and he saw her leaning in for a kiss, in which he faintly blushes and kisses her back holding her cheek, she pulls away and resumes to her sleeping position getting comfy as he did the same.

In the heat of a sunny day, you found peace after completing your paperwork ahead of schedule. Your usual method of relaxation involved strolling around, checking in on fellow Scouts, friends, and notably, your boyfriend Levi.

Upon not finding Levi outside with Erwin or Hange, you decided to take a peek into his office. Perhaps he needed a hand with his paperwork? However, what greeted you was unexpected. Levi was seated at his desk, but instead of working, he was sleeping

His posture looked hella uncomfortable, one arm embracing his upper body, while the other cradled the handle of a blade, which was resting against his chair.

As you took a cautious step forward, the creaking wooden floor woke him up from his slumber. Instantly alert, he sprang to attention, blade pointed in your direction. He relaxed once he noticed that it was you but his tiredness was obvious.

"Sorry. What brings you here?" he murmured softly, shaking off the remnants of sleep.

"I just wanted to check up on you- I noticed that you were nowhere to be found, and I got concerned. I'm sorry that I woke you up from your sleep." you replied, apologetic for interrupting his rest.

"It was just a nap. Merely a nap," he sighed, suddenly gesturing towards a chair opposite his desk. "I-If you'd like, we could nap together. You know..we could push the chairs together."

The chairs looked very uncomfortable but the way he was staring at you made you feel guilty for wanting to say no. His eyes looked way more soft and vulnerable than usually.

„Yes- sure." you reply and before you can even say anything else, he swiftly moved the chair beside his own, settling back into his seat.

As you joined him, he gently clasped your hand, his other arm resuming to its protective stance around his body. Though the position wasn't ideal, seeing him slowly relax and drift off to sleep made it clear that staying by his side was the right choice.
