Nobody, Chapter 9 is coming I SWEAR. I took some time off for my birthday and then work people got pissy as shit lol.

The plot is chock full of cornstarch at this point as it pertains to THICKENING.

I'm sad that we had to cut down the tree in front of our house because it was rotting and too close to the house but we left the leaves that got into the flower beds and have left the partially rotted big piece out for the birds to eat the grubs and bugs that live there and I'm going to be sad when we finally need to chop up the rest of it and put it in the back for our fire pit.

God I adore this new OC I'm writing. A turncoat against his own kind, he became a very powerful magic wielder. He renounced the old religion for the new to feed his family, participated in the war that destroyed the old ways, but when he must return the captured rebel he nearly kills the prison guards who abused her. He offers to bring her to one of the temples (one he destroyed) so she can do her last rites before he takes her into town for her trial and execution.

But when he touches her for the first time skin to skin, their bond locks into place and the power surges through him. His power grows (and so does hers), and he *could* kill her - they're both heretics now. They're dead the second anyone finds out.

And he grows iridescent purple wings out of his back where his ceremonial scars are, and he's *thrumming* with power. All he can think to do is say her name. And she tells him how he could kill her, how he should kill her, actually, and he simply says that he doesn't want to.

There's never been a show that I've watched where I've immediately gone "I must have more" as hard as BCS. The characters in this show are so incredibly well fleshed out and with Nobody I hope I have a prayer of capturing them at least somewhat accurately. They're so nuanced and complicated and thought provoking and the second they're off screen I miss them.
