Her stare grew skeptical. “So you just don’t listen to anything? No carefully curated playlists you drink stale black coffee to as you drive to school and contemplate communism?”
“Oh, no, I definitely have those,” he replied, leaning forward to pop open the glove compartment and letting a tumble of cassette tapes spill forward.
She blinked down at the landslide before flicking her gaze back to his. “Tapes.”
“Tapes,” he confirmed, nodding at the one that’d fallen into her lap. “That one’s called ‘Eat the Rich.’”
