~ I'm so so sorry for taking so long on this one! I've been a bit busy in my personal life. After doing some thinking I decided to only do the anxiety one, so I'm sorry about that too. It's just that even though I did quite a bit of research, I still didn't feel confident in what I was writing since I have no personal experience w/ anger issues, and considering it's something that can be harmful if portrayed wrong I think it's best if I just stick to what I know :(. Gender neutral s/o!

I know anxiety can present differently in different people, I'm referencing mostly me and the people I know.

⚠️ Mentions of panic/anxiety attacks. It's right at the end and separated from the rest with [], so if it triggers you you can just stop once you see that! ⚠️

Will never, ever, judge you for showing symptoms of anxiety. Will not make you feel bad for it or make snarky comments about it, even if you don't outright say that you have it.

Won't force you into anything you don't wanna do, but especially not if it's something that would trigger your anxiety.

If it's something you absolutely need to do (because life is like that sometimes), he'll try to help you go through it as much as he can.

(If you allow his family to know, they'll help you too in their own ways).

If you're together and someone approaches you to talk and it's making you anxious, he'll absolutely carry the conversation for the two of you and somehow manage to get you away from the situation in a very natural way so you don't have to worry about seeming rude or anything.

If you're ever too "in your head" about something that probably doesn't warrant so much worry, like something embarrassing you've done in the past, he'll try to make you see things the way he does. Never in a mean way or disregarding your feelings! Just to calm you down. Sometimes our brains blow things way out of proportion.

Will let you fiddle with his clothes, his hands, hell even his hair if it makes you more relaxed.

(As someone with curly hair, him letting you touch his hair is a proof of pure love).

This is all if you want it, of course. As I've said in the past, Camilo would never want to make you uncomfortable. If you don't want him to do something, just tell him and he'll stop and apologize. He'll find other ways to support you that don't bother you! Or you can just tell him, that works too.

Listen, he's good at helping you through panic or anxiety attacks.

(I know they are different things, but mainly for the reasons they happen. They are quite similar in what they feel like, at least for me).

You cannot tell me no one in the Madrigal family goes through things like this. He has experience.

"Breath with me, cariño, let's try that okay?"

If following his breathing doesn't work, he'll try the counting method, you know? The one where the person counts numbers slowly and you follow their lead. (I don't know if that's the name, but that's what I call it).

Every time it happens he panics on the inside, but tries not to show it so you don't feel even worse. He knows you'll be fine but he doesn't like to see you hurting in any way.

Will also reassure you that you'll be fine, it's just a panic or anxiety attack and soon you'll be fine, and that he'll be there for you the entire time.

If you want to hold his hand because it's scary, he'll let you.

If you need space, he'll give it to you. But if you want a hug he'll also oblige.

Afterwards will try to convince you to do some more relaxing activities, if you weren't doing that before, so you can rest and recover.

Summary: While trying to find somewhere safe for your dragons, you find Encanto and become very good friends with Camilo. These are a few snippets of your new life there.

Author's notes: The person who requested this took a lot of reference from httyd, but I never watched any of the movies, so forgive me for any mistakes on the dragon part... or the writing part. This was written over the course of a few days while I was surrounded by people talking and doing stuff, so needless to say it's probably all over the place due to me being half distracted ^^''. I don't think this ended up being very romantic, so I guess it can be read as platonic too. I didn't edit it either because it would take even longer if I did that so I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes!

After your father's death at the hands of hunters, you and your three remaining dragons began your life-long journey. You lived a nomadic lifestyle, changing homes very frequently, and chose not to have a fixed mission. Sometimes you just went sight-seeing, sometimes you had fun with other dragon trainers, and sometimes you helped others (helping people usually meant taming a wild dragon that was attacking, and helping dragons usually meant fighting off hunters. You were very good at both).

Currently, however, you had a very fixed goal in mind: to find a safe place. You had to after deciding to take an infant deathgripper under your wing. He was simply not old enough for you to consider it safe to take him on these trips. He didn't know how to fly or walk very well, you had to carry him everywhere on a pouch.

After a lot of flying around, you came across a place that seemed perfect, for you yourself had almost missed it. It was a small town hidden between mountins so tall you could only imagine no person would be able to easily climb them. You decided to give it a shot, after all you were getting tired and needed rest.

As you descended into the town, people were, naturally, very scared. They probably have seen very few dragons around, this area didn't seem to have many, and the fact that you brought not one, but four, likely made them feel threatened. You tried to explain yourself but they didn't seem to calm down, and that's when you were approached by the apparent leaders of the place.

It was a considerably big family, and they all seemed very shocked to see you there. Most of them looked more scared then anything, except for the youngest, who just seemed curious about your flock.

The older woman, probably matriarch, stepped forward and tried to work out something to say, clearly having a hard time. You simply waited.

"... Who are you," she finally asked "and what do you want here?"

You explained everything to her. What you did, how you got here and what you were looking for. You promised you would help around as much as you could to make up for it, and how your dragons wouldn't be trouble, but they all seemed very hesitant until the child spoke up.

"The dragons are safe, they're very polite! They've done this before, I think." He looked up at you for confirmation, to which you nodded enthusiasticly.

After a lot of talking, now in their home and not in the middle of the street, they decided to let you in under the condition that you brought no harm to the people. That was more than enough for you.

You were fitting in the town surprisingly well. In order to show gratitude (and to ease people's nerves regarding you) you were helping around a lot, both with and without the dragons.

You also got significantly closer to some people. The Madrigal family as a whole seemed to be interested in you, especially the ones who were around your age (and Antonio, though you were sure he was closer to your dragons than to you), but the one who stood out the most for you was Camilo.

When you first arrived, you didn't think much of him. You didn't talk and rarely ran into each other. However, after a few days you started to notice that he stared at you a lot. Somehow it didn't few weird or threatening, he looked like a mix of curious and in awe. You thought it was funny and sweet. You were the first one to approach him and he turned into a blubbering mess, which was pretty cute.

"Hey!" You said from behind him.

Camilo turned around quickly, almost dropping the bascket of fruits he was carrying.

"Uh, oh, I- heey, (Y/n), right?" Even though he was clearly nervous, he smiled "What's good?"

You couldn't help but laugh.

"Not much, I was just wondering... You stare at me a lot. Is there anything you wanna ask?" You stopped for a second, then quickly added "I'm not mad or anything! Just curious!"

Judging by how red he got, you guessed he really wasn't expecting that question.

"Oh! I just, well," he laughed "you just look very... Interesting! That's all."

From then on, you started to talk more and more. Camilo was always so curious about what your past and what you do, you found it very sweet. He himself even had a lot of stories, and while they tended to be more mundane than yours, you found the way he tells stories to be very compelling.

Your dragons didn't like him a lot, though. You had no idea why, but they were always very protective of you whenever you were together. The baby deathgripper even tried to squirt small drops of acid in his clothes whener he thought he was too close. That didn't stop Camilo from seeking you out, but you felt bad and tried to make up for it.

With you getting closer to Camilo, you also got much closer to his other family members. Mirabel was very welcoming and you talked quite a bit too, and you and Luisa partnered up in tasks a few times. Bruno sometimes approached you when you were with Camilo, he seemed to know something that you didn't, and whatever it was made the shape shifter very flustered. Pepa was weary of you at first, but softened as your friendship with her son progressed (Félix was much more "chill" since the beginning). Point is, things were going very well, even Alma had started to like you and you were thankful.

Eventually your dragons did start to like Camilo, and the story is quite surprising.

After some time of friendship, you started taking him on your little trips around the mountains. They usually only lasted an afternoon and their only purpose was to keep the dragons healthy, much like how you take a dog on a walk. One day he asked if he could join, and how could you say no?

It went well, and this you decided to take him with you every time. It was much more enjoyable when you had someone to talk to, especially someone as enthusiastic as Camilo.

One day, as you were flying around, the dragons suddenly seemed agitated. You didn't know the reason, but it put on edge and you decided to end the trip early. You didn't tell Camilo so he wouldn't get worried, but you had a feeling he knew something was off.

Once you were closer to Encanto, you heard the most terrifying roar you had every heard in your life. Looking back, you realized it was probably another dragon, but at the moment you were extremely startled.

Due to the scare, you lost your grip on the dragon's back and, since she also got startled and jerked a little bit backward once she heard the roar, ended up falling. You were very high up, so you would probably be dead once you hit the ground. That didn't happen, however thanks to Camilo's quick thinking!

As soon as your friend saw you falling, he quickly shape shifted into someone who was stronger and taller. You dragon was already going down to get closer to you, and he knew just what to do. They approached you very quickly and he pulled you back to the dragon's back with his new form.

"(Y/n), are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" He asked worriedly. One of his arms was wrapped around you, and the other held onto the saddle.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine..." You looked around, then back at him "Just a bit shocked. Thanks for not letting me fall."

"I wouldn't dream of it." He smiled.

You hugged him tight. He couldn't exactly return the gesture, but you didn't mind.

When you got back to Encanto that day, the dragons seemed to respect Camilo a lot more. Sometimes they even saught him out without you. You guessed it probably had something to do with how he saved you, but whatever it was, you were very happy about it. (The baby didn't change in attitude, probably because he wasn't in that trip... or simply because he was a brat.)

You went back to look around the mountains the day after the roar incident, but found nothing. You figured it was probably just a creature passing by and didn't think much of it.

Now you knew you were so, so terribly wrong.

A few days later you were on yet another "walk" with Camilo and your dragons, this time with the baby, unfortunately for him. You were having a very good time, until you heard that same roar. Again.

This time something seemed different...

"... Was it just me or did that come from near the town?" Camilo asked.

You turned to him and heard it again. Definitely came from the town.

"Oh Dios, let's go!"

When you got to the town, you were met with a storm. Rain was pouring everywhere, there was lightning, and around 3 houses were burned to complete ash. You heard another roar and sounds of things being broken (and screams, of course). By that you already had a guess of what you were dealing with.

"Camilo, stay here!" You said as you took him out of the dragon's back and made your way towards noise.

Just as you thought, it was a wild dragon. A Monstrous Nightmare, to be more precise. They were known for their violent tendencies and fire spiting abilities, fire that spread extremely quickly. Thanks to Pepa's distress, it was raining a lot, so that's one less thing to worry about.

As soon as you came across the dragon, all three of yours remained defensive (and, well, the baby, not that he could do much while being stuck on a pouch).

"HEY!" You shouted and grabbed your swords handle, but didn't draw it. Just to be safe.

The dragon turned around sharply. It's gaze was angry and terrifying, but you remained calm even as it roared to you.

"Hey, listen, no one here will hurt you..." You took your hand out of the handle as you said that, not wanting to seem contradictory "It's okay, see?" You gestured back at your own dragons, who only stared calmly "There are others here, and they're fine!"

You reached out with your hand and it came closer, stopped as the people started making noise again worried about your safety.

"No, it's fine, guys, really! I've done this before!" You addressed the crowd but did not move your gaze from the Monstrous Nightmare in front of you.

You kept talking to the dragon calmly, and eventually it allowed you to touch him. That's when you know it was tamed and no longer a threat. Before you could even check if everyone else was alright, Camilo came running up to you.

"(Y/n), that was amazing! How'd you do that?" He asked excitedly.

You scratched the back of your neck and laughed.

"It takes a lot of practice, but it's not exactly hard once you know what you're doing- yo, yo!" You very lightly tapped the baby deathgripper as you noticed he position himself to ""attack"" Camilo "bad dragon, bad! We don't do that!"

Camilo laughed. "I'm starting to think he doesn't like me."

"Yeah, guess not." You smiled.

"Anyways, I'm going to check if everyone's okay... Wanna come too?" He asked, then held out a hand.

You grabbed his hand and he smiles softly.

"Yeah, let's go... But first we need to take the dragons back to their spot, I don't think people will appreciate them chilling here in the middle of the town after this!"

You and Camilo took the dragons to their resting place and went to see how everyone was doing. Mostly, people were just thankful you were there to save them, even if a little bit mistrustful of how the Monstrous Nightmare had found Encanto, but you didn't blame them. The Madrigals were especially thankful, and Antonio had told Camilo to ask if you could teach him how to tame dragons (Camilo said you should do it at your own risk, considering that Pepa would be very, very mad if she saw her baby anywhere near a dragon. You wandered what she would think if she knew of you and Camilo's little escapades!)

You helped with rebuilding the houses and things eventually went back to normal, only with one more dragon in town. All in all, you were glad to have found Encanto. Perhaps you would stay a little more, telling yourself that you had to have a stable home to train the new dragon and the baby, but maybe a certain curly-head had something to do with the decision...

Hello author, could you make Camilo with Teenager female reader or gn (she is about 16 years old) who is a dragon leader, she resembles like a mix of Hiccup and Valka from httyd, she also has a fire sword, dragon armor and staff, she is kind and compassionate to dragons, can tame and earn the trust of any dragon, she has 3 main dragons: Stormcutter, Triple Strike, Song of Death and the baby Deathgripper she recently rescued (She carries him in a special compartment in her armor that looks like a mama kangaroo bag. Like the fishlegs in part 3 httyd) , she travels with her dragons looking for a suitable place to stay safe from dragon hunters. She is neutral towards the camilo and the madrigal family, but over time she has become friends with them. All the dragons obey her, so when a wild Monstrous Nightmare attacks the village , she calmly talks to the dragon and tames it (thereby saving the alma) . She takes Camilo with her on flights, but her dragons are not friendly to Camilo (they don't trust him, but after Camilo saves y/n, he deserves their trust and respect, but the baby deathgripper does not give up trying to burn his clothes with acid ), but are friendly to the others. A little clarification, the reader was alone, after her father's death at the hands of hunters , she was 12 years old when he was gone, she led a nomadic lifestyle, looking for a place where she could live with her dragon flock whom saved .Sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language One shot, if not difficult .

Author's notes: This might be a bit ooc, I'm not too sure, it's been a while since I've interacted with anything Encanto! Also, I used the word "parce" at some point, I've heard it's similar to "bro" in English or "mano" in Portuguese. I say it a lot so I feel it would fit in the dialogue but do let me know if it's not used like that in Colombia. And!! The dance I had in mind for this was cumbia since it's, apparently, a very popular dance there, but it's not really mentioned explicitly (and it could be wrong, since if you looked up that about Brazil Google would make you think most people dance samba at parties here when it's not really true, at least in my experience). And yes, the way the "kiss" happens isn't that realistic but who cares? Not me (though, fun fact, something very similar happened to me irl once!)

Celebrating the new year was always fun at Encanto. The whole town came over to the Madrigals' house and danced, drank, ate, and just generally partied until dawn. Now, it wasn't as wild as it sounds, but it was always a treat.

This year was particularly exciting for you since it was your first year officially attending as Camilo's boyfriend!

Well, not much, only that you helped organize the place before the party, which you didn't mind (not when that meant you could spend the entire day goofing around with Camilo while doing so). But even though you partied together almost every year, there was just something different about dancing as a couple instead of friends.

The two of you had danced for a while after the *real* party started, however eventually decided to switch partners every few minutes as most did. It was just more fun like that, and you were still close enough for it to be considered time spent together. Plus, you were amongst friends, so it didn't feel weird.

Eventually, you ended up back together. After a few short minutes of dancing, Camilo suddenly seemed distracted, staring behind you as he stepped along to the beat of the song.

"You know, if you keep doing that you're gonna step on my foot!" You teased, then asked, "What's wrong?"

"... Oh, perdón, corazón." You cringed a little at how that rhymed. It seemed intentional by the way he giggled after saying that. "Mi mamá wants me to fix something, I think, I don't really understand what she's trying to say."

You stopped dancing and turned around to look as well, quickly finding Pepa gesturing angrily at the upstairs of the house and mouthing something to your boyfriend. After she noticed you looking, however, she stopped, smiled, and waved almost awkwardly. You and Camilo laughed.

"Want me to go with you?"

"No, no, it's fine! I want you to enjoy yourself, you already did enough by helping me with the decorations earlier. Just keep dancing or whatever." he explained, then grabbed your chin and gave you a soft kiss on the lips, grinning right after "See you in a few minutes!"

With that, he left.

'Charming bastard..." You thought as you watched him go, lips still tingling from his kiss.

You tried to wait for Camilo to come back but got bored after a few minutes. He did give you permission to dance with other people, and you were doing that before anyway, so you were sure he wouldn't mind.

The dance floor (that was actually just the main room of the house) was considerably fuller now that people started drinking, but you still had enough space to dance. Your current partner was Daniela, your sweet next-door neighbor. It was actually her mother that taught you how to dance along with some of the other kids in your street, so you were very comfortable dancing with each other.

You were facing each other to be able to talk better, one of your hands on her waist and the other on her hand. You spoke about your plans for the year, how your relationship was going, did some casual gossip because why not, when suddenly someone ran into her from behind. She fell forward, and your natural instinct was to try to hold her so she wouldn't fall. This, unfortunately for the two of you, ended up causing something quite awkward: your lips on hers.

It was very, very quick, but felt weird nonetheless. You hadn't really kissed anyone other than Camilo, but did this even count when it was on accident?

You stared at each other for a few seconds after separating. She was slowly becoming red like a tomato (and your face felt very hot as well, so Lord knows what you looked like), but both ended up laughing.

"I'm sorry, I didn't- someone ran into me-" She tried to explain, but you just shook your head and put your hand on her shoulder with a smile.

"I get it, it's fine, I noticed. Still wanna dance?"

She nodded positively and you went back to doing what you were before, not giving the event much thought.

A few more minutes passed, and still not a trace of Camilo. You weren't worried before, but now you were. Did something happen?

"Parce... I'm gonna go look for Camilo. He's been gone for a while, I'm worried." You announced and stopped dancing.

"Alright! See you later, (Y/n)! Tell him I said hi." She said.

"Will do!" You waved, then left.

You looked around the entire house and still couldn't find your boyfriend. Now you were really worried. It felt a bit irrational since it was Pepa who had left with him, so surely she would keep him safe. But what if something happened to the two of them, then?

Before your paranoid thoughts could get to you, you managed to find Dolores, who looked around as if looking for someone while holding a cup of juice.

"Hey, Dolores!" You greeted and she jumped before looking at you. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Have you seen Camilo around? I can't find him anywhere!"

"Oh, he's mad at you because you kissed Daniela." She explained, then widened her eyes and squeaked when she noticed what she just said. "I mean, no."

Your chest tightened when you heard what she said. So he thought you cheated on him?

"He saw that? But it was an accident! I don't-"

"I tried to tell him, but he didn't want to listen." She shrugged.

You didn't know how to feel about how Dolores was apparently listening to you and Daniela talk for her to have managed to catch that part, but didn't give it much thought. You were more worried about Camilo as of now.

"Where is he?"

She looked around with just her eyes, then replied.

"His bedroom. You should go, he's very upset."

You didn't wait a second before you left, quickly making your way to your boyfriend's room. Even though it wasn't really your fault, you still felt extremely guilty. This day was supposed to be one of fun and parties, not sadness! You weren't even sure he would believe you when you told him what had actually happened, but the thought of him breaking up with you because of that gave upset you too much, so you chose to think about it.

When you got to the glowing door of his bedroom, you knocked a few times, hands shaking a little from the built-up anxiety. You hoped he wasn't THAT hurt.

"Camilo, it's (Y/n)!" You said. "We need to talk!"

You couldn't hear anything behind the door for a while, but it suddenly just opened, revealing none other than Camilo. His eyes were red and puffy and he was still wearing what he wore at the party, though a little crumpled and with some small bits of dust that probably came from a blanket.

You could have cried at the sight, especially with this misunderstanding being the cause of it, but before you could say anything Camilo started talking.

"There's nothing to talk about!" he exclaimed angrily and sniffled, tears starting to fall from his eyes. "Y-you kissed her while I was gone! I trusted you! I thought..."

"No, no, mi vida! It's nothing like that!" you interrupted before he could go on, determined to avoid any further misunderstandings. "Someone pushed her on accident and she fell, I tried to catch her and, well, that's what you saw! I didn't say anything because, to us, it didn't mean anything! It was an accident! She has her boyfriend and I have you, and I would never want to kiss anyone else! I'm so, so, so sorry..."

Camilo stared at you silently as his tears came to a halt. He sniffled and dried his eyes with his hands before speaking again.

"So... You still love me?"

"Of course I do! I love you more than anything, amor!" your face got warmer after saying that. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything, I just didn't think it was that big of a deal, but I should have-"

Before you could keep going, Camilo hugged you so fast you didn't even see it coming. You returned the gesture and wrapped your arms gently around his figure, softly caressing his back as you did.

"... Mi hermana tried to say that to me, I think, but I didn't really listen... I'm, uh, sorry." He said. The words were a bit muffled since his face was pressed against your neck, but they were still understandable.

You let out a relaxed sigh, then giggled and placed a sweet kiss on his forehead.

"It's fine, she told me. I'm just glad you're not sad anymore... Unless you still are?" You pulled away and looked at him with a worried expression.

He pulled you back and shook his head.

"No, no! I'm glad I was wrong! I'm sorry for having jumped to conclusions so quickly-"

"But it was perfectly reasonable for you to get upset about that, I-"

"Ey, ey!" he interrupted as he pulled away, placing both hands on your shoulders. "What if, instead of infinitely apologizing to each other, we went back to having some fun?"

You laughed and nodded.

"Yeah, that sounds better. Wanna go back to the party?"

"Actually," Camilo replied with a mischievous grin "I had something else in mind." He walked a few steps back and looked at the inside of his bedroom, then at you again. "Wanna come in?"

You only raised an eyebrow and complied, following him into the room.

The idea turned out to be surprisingly mild. You were laying down comfortably on Camilo's bed, with your arms wrapped around him as you watched some telenovela his tío, Bruno, had recommended to him.

"But... Wasn't she his tía or something?" You asked, confused.

"Amor, are you even watching?" Camilo huffed in an annoyed manner but didn't bother looking up at you. "Yes, she is! But she doesn't remember that, she has amnesia! That's like, the whole point!" He said as he gestured at the screen.

"Perdón, perdón. I'm just busy looking at something else." You said, staring lovingly at him.

He turned his head towards you in curiosity, staring blankly for a few minutes before becoming almost as red as a tomato.

"Eres ridículo, (Y/n)." He laughed and gave you a quick kiss on the lips, then went back to watching the TV.

"What can I say? I love you! And you're very, very pretty."

"He, I love you too. Now pay attention to the telenovela or I swear I'll make you watch it all again!"

You both ended up falling asleep together while watching television. It wasn't exactly what you had in mind for the new year, but waking up in the morning with him still in your arms was certainly more than you could have asked for.

Hi, welcome to my blog! I've been meaning to do this for a while so I'm excited.

This is more of a warning, but be patient with me, sometimes I write slowly or have a hard time coming up with ideas.

This also isn't a rule, but you may just ask things through the asks, even if they aren't fanfic-related. I don't see why anyone would do that, but I don't mind!
