Hi! How are you?
Thankyou again for writing another chapter of the ONS series. I absolutely loved it and it goes so fantastically well when you read them all in a row. I'm still absolutely hooked and kinda dying to know what happens but if this was it, gosh what a way to end with that shameful forward display by Carisi at the end. Bloody loved it 💛
Anyways, just wanted to annoy and fangirl again to say I am loving your fics. I'm adore that Sonny is not being coy, shy or overly flustered. Can I even say he's using some BDE! He's just straight up knowing what he wants and just putting it out there! Even if there has been some miscommunication along the way. Also I feel he knows she wants him too. Such a contrast to him quietly pining over *someone * else that he was and was rightly accused of doing 😆
Thankyou again for writing this series. I've absolutely adored it and honestly recommending this everywhere I can because it's so lovely.
thank you so much for your continued interest and support of me and this series. I love BDE Sonny and him going after what he wants.
Working on more for this series. I think I know who the reader will choose but I'm not 100%. But just when I think I'll know what I'm going to do I change my mind. LOL

Chance
Sonny crossed the floor of the squad room to Liv’s office. He glanced your way and gave a curt nod. You returned the greeting with a tight smile. Sighing you pushed up from your desk to get a cup of coffee. This had to end. Not only was your working relationship affected by the divide between you and Sonny so was your personal relationship. Despite all that happened you still wanted to be friends with Sonny.
While you waited for Sonny to exit Liv’s office you poured two cups of coffee. Maybe you could get a couple of minutes of Sonny’s time and clear the air. A couple of minutes later Sonny came back out to the squad room and gave the room a quick once over before walking to the elevators.
“Sonny, wait,” you called out to him. You quickly but carefully made an attempt to catch up with Sonny.
He turned his head toward your voice then thankfully stopped when he saw you carrying the steaming mugs of coffee. “What can I help you with?” he asked once you reached him. He took the cup of coffee you offered him.
“I was hoping we could talk,” you requested. “Do you have a few minutes?”
“Sure. I have an hour before my next arraignment,” he replied. Sonny took a sip of the squad room coffee and wrinkled his nose. “Let’s go get a decent cup of coffee.” He threw the paper cup full of coffee into the waste bin and you followed suit.
Several minutes later you were in front of a local coffee shop. Sonny opened the door for you and then placed a hand on the small of your back as you made your way to a table.
“Grab a table and I’ll order,” Sonny said. “Want your usual?”
“Yes. Please,” you said with a smile.
You sat at a two-seat high-top table and watched as Sonny stood in line and ordered. As you waited your phone buzzed with a text.
It was Peter. ‘I have tickets to the ballet tomorrow. I’d love for you to join me. Show is at 7:30pm. We can go to dinner beforehand.’
Peter remembered that you adored ballet. The grace, poise, and talent that the dancers possess left you in awe.  It was your dream to be a ballerina when you were little but you were short and curvy; the opposite of the traditional body type for the profession. Plus you had weak ankles. You did have a passion for dance and took every class you could from kindergarten through to high school.
You typed out numerous replies but erased all of them and placed your phone back into your pocket. It was something you would have to think about. As much as you wanted to go you would have to think about it. After Sonny came to your place you and Peter sat down and talked about your relationship. This time you weren’t going to jump into a relationship with Peter and believe all the promises he made. This time he would have to prove himself.
Sonny placed a cup in front of you and then took the seat opposite of you. “Got you a danish too,” he said flatly. He knew baked goods were your weakness.
“Thank you.”  You looked up at Sonny and smiled and then took a measured sip from the ceramic mug. “This is definitely better coffee than at the station,” you affirmed.
“It’s drip coffee. Takes a bit longer but when something is good it’s worth the wait,” Sonny said, his eyes not leaving yours. “So, you wanted to talk?” he asked after a couple of minutes of silence.
“Uh, look. I know what your thoughts and feelings are about Peter and me. To be truthful I have my doubts too but Peter he’s-”
“He’s changed,” Sonny interrupted. “He knows he messed up in the past but now he’s ready for a commitment. All he wants to do is make you happy and love you because you deserve the world. And he will do whatever it takes and will wait forever for you,” Sonny snarked. He pursed his lips together.
Your eyes narrowed at Sonny.  “Well, actually I was going to say Peter is… you know what? I came here because I wanted to, I don’t know, I wanted to clear things up. Maybe be friends. At least have a civil working relationship but clearly, you’re not ready for that.”
“I think I struck a nerve.” Sonny leaned back in his chair. “How many times has he made promises like that after he’s cheated or somehow hurt you?”
“You have no idea what you’re talking about,” you snipped. “Peter is a good man.” While Sonny was right about the cheating it was during a time you and Peter essentially broke up. And it was just once as far as you knew. You furrowed your brow at the thought.
Sonny smirked. “I saw him in action when he worked as an ADA. Multiple women, excess drinking, and wasn’t he accused of rape? Yeah, a real stand-up guy.”
“Okay. I’m done,” you announced as you stood up quickly. “You obviously have no intention of working things out.” Before turning to leave you threw money on the table for both coffees. “By the way, the coffee was horrible.”
“I never stood a chance, did I?” he asked in a softer voice.
His question caught you off guard. “That’s the sad part- you did once,” you answered and then left.
Throughout the rest of the day, your mind kept returning to the conversation you had with Sonny. The audacity he had to bring up Peter’s rape accusation. Peter was the one to insist the investigation be open to prove he was innocent. The truth came out that it was one of Peter’s friends and teammates.
Peter had truly changed over the last three years. He owned up to his mistakes and shortcomings. Peter sought help to deal with his guilt over the loss of Pam and the strained relationship he had with his father prior to Ben's passing. There was a lot to unbox and he was still working through things.
Later in the afternoon, Peter called to ask you to watch the Cubs vs Mets game at his place and you firmed up plans for the ballet the next evening. Your mind kept going back to the disaster that was the conversation with Sonny. Finally, at 5 PM you headed for the elevator.
Just as the doors were closing someone put their hand out to stop the doors from closing. You were expecting to see a fellow detective or officer trying to leave and start their weekend like you were. You huffed out a sigh when it was Sonny who entered the elevator and stood beside you.
“Sonny, I am really not in the mood,” you snapped.
“I wasn’t done talking,” Sonny said. He pushed the floor-up button before you could press the down button.
You narrowed your eyes at him. “Do you want to berate me for my decisions or do you want to demonize Peter more?”
Sonny pressed his lips into a thin line. “Neither.” Sonny pushed you against the wall of the elevator then pinned your hands above your head causing your breath to catch. His breath was hot on your skin.  His lips crushed into yours and it felt like your body went up in flames.
For a moment you let your body melt into Sonny’s. It felt so good to have his body pressed against yours. Flashes of the times you and Sonny made love went through your mind. He made you feel sexy and beautiful but now you were just feral. You needed this man. Now. Then you remembered that you were in an elevator at work and that Peter was waiting for you.
“Stop. I can’t,” you breathed pushing Sonny away. The guilt sank in immediately. Even though you weren’t exclusive with Peter you were still together, sort of and you remembered the hurt Peter caused when he cheated.
Sonny stepped back. “I-I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have-” He was cut off by the elevator doors sliding open. Sonny walked out quickly without saying anything or looking back.
The elevator dinged again signaling the closing of the doors. You shook your head to clear your thoughts and caught the doors before they closed.  Once you were outside you spotted Peter waiting for you. “Peter? What are you doing here?” you asked and then snaked your arms around him. Immediately you relaxed and let out a heavy sigh.
“I just couldn’t wait to see you,” he replied. Peter wrapped his arms around you and kissed the top of your head. “Are you okay?”
“Just a weird day,” you mumbled into his chest.
Peter leaned back and tilted your chin up. “Want to talk about it?”
“Not right now,” you answered. There was a decision you had to make and it wasn’t whether or not to tell Peter about the kiss with Sonny. You would for sure tell him. It was time to decide between Peter and Sonny. Although once you tell Peter about what happened with Sonny he might make the decision for you.
Thanks to @misscharlielulu for the prompt- "I never stood a chance, did I?"

You know I adore Sonny but reading your autumn series again, gosh he bugs me sometimes in the best way if that make sense... especially when they have broken up. Like it makes him more human not so perfect bf/partner all the time.
I absolutely understand. I try to write Sonny and the other characters as real as possible.
I love hearing from you!

hello, how are you? I hope you have been well. So sorry to bother you but I had a question about the one night stand series....
So in the chapter where she confront Sonny after she is going over her testimony, she says “Funny, that’s what my ex said when I caught him cheating".
Okay, maybe I've spent too much thinking, but is this Stone? He is her ex, back into her life, trying to make start their relationship to a degree. Well he is, she might back with him because was comfortable and safe. Despite what ever occurred for them to initially break up. She knows what she gets with Stone.
Unlike Sonny who she just had a one night stand with and appears like she caught these feelings for. She's not sticking around to get heartbroken again.
Sorry not sorry I have read this series a few times now and keep having these random questions and thoughts.
For sure it is Stone that is the cheating ex. He's a dog but the reader always sees the best in people and believes that people can change. And who knows, maybe this will be the turning point for Peter to be a better person and truly change.
The reader absolutely caught feelings for Sonny. But she's still convinced that he still has feelings for Amanda so she's gun shy to have a relationship with him.
I'm still unsure how this series will turn out, and who the reader will end up with (maybe it won't be Sonny or Peter).
Keep sending me any questions you have!

Truths
Using the prompt "You were more than a one night stand". Sent to me by @misscharlielulurlielulu
“I could ask you the same,” Sonny retorted. “Where’s Y/N?”
“Sonny?” you said meeting him at the door, pulling your robe around you.
Sonny looked between you and Peter taking in your appearance and clothing, or lack thereof. His eyes locked with yours. “Y/N? What’s going on here? Are you sleeping with him too?” His voice was full of disdain.
“Wait one damn minute!” Peter exclaimed, stepping closer to Sonny.
“Peter, can you give us a minute, please?” you asked, placing a hand on his chest.
Peter looked down at you and his eyes softened. “Are you sure?”
Sonny scoffed. “I wouldn’t hurt her. Unlike you,” he accused.
Peter scowled. “What the hell does that mean?”
“Just stop. Both of you. Peter go back inside,” you instructed.
Peter didn’t move or divert his eyes from Sonny.
“Peter, please,” you said softly. “It’s okay.”
Peter nodded. “Fine,” he conceded.
You waited for the door to close behind Peter before looking back at Sonny. “Why are you here?”
“Why is Peter Stone here?” Sonny inquired.
“That’s not really your business,” you shot back, crossing your arms over your chest. The fact was Peter did know about you and Sonny. You laid it all out on the line for him last night. And you were honest when you told him you didn’t know if or where the relationship was headed.
Sonny ran his hands through his hair. Something he did when he was stressed or frustrated. He knew you were right. The relationship between you and Sonny was never defined. All he said is he wanted to see you more.
You sighed. “I’ve known Peter for years,” you replied.
Sonny nodded then put a forefinger to his lips like in thought. “Then you know he’s nothing but a womanizing prick. He’s only with you for one reason.”
“Well, at least I know where I stand with him,” you snipped.
Sonny gave you a resigned look. “I suppose you’re right.”
Peter opened the door. Both you and Sonny turned when he came out of the apartment. He was dressed in casual clothes including a Cubs ball cap.
“I’m going to run to the market and pick up a few things,” Peter informed you. He kissed the top of your head. “I’ll be back soon. Call if you need anything.”
“I will. Thank you,” you answered him. You knew Peter was giving you privacy to talk to Sonny.
Peter locked eyes with Sonny and nodded at him before making his way down the hall.
“We can go inside and talk,” you recommended. “There’s fresh coffee.” You opened the door, ushering him in before you let him answer.
Sonny walked past you making sure not to touch you. He stood in the middle of your kitchen looking around.
“Mugs are in the cabinet,” you informed him, motioning toward the door above the sink.
Sonny pulled a mug from the cabinet and then filled it with coffee. He leaned against the counter and took a measured sip.
“I didn’t like the way we left things yesterday.” Sonny ran his hand through his already messy hair again.“You’re right about Amanda,” Sonny admitted. “But it not like you think.”
You raised a brow.
He held a hand up. “Just let me explain. There was a time that yes, I had feelings for Amanda. I do love her but not in a romantic way. I’ve helped her through both of her pregnancies. I’m close with her girls. And  I will always be around for them and for her.”
Sonny supporting Amanda, or other members of the squad was not what was the problem. You couldn’t imagine Sonny not being a loving, caring, supportive person. It was in his nature and you wouldn’t want him any other way. Maybe you were overreacting.
“What changed?” you asked.
Sonny gave you a quizzical look. “What do you mean, what changed?”
“I mean why did your feelings change?” you elaborated.
Sonny shrugged. “People change, things change. Who knows?”
“So, she rejected you?” you ascertained. Looking up from your cup of coffee, you saw the hurt on his face. It made you feel like a heel. “I’m sorry. That’s-”
“No, it’s okay. That’s what happened.” Sonny sat the mug down on the counter.
Both of you were silent for a few awkward seconds. Sonny was the first to speak.
“Well, I’ll go. I just wanted you to know that I’m sorry for how I acted and to let you know you were right,” he explained.
“Sonny, the thing with Peter-” you said before Sonny interrupted you.
He gave you a sad smile. “Not my business, remember.” Sonny walked to the door. “And so you know. You were more than a one-night stand.” Sonny left, the door clicking closed behind him.
Sonny’s words took you by surprise.
Peter entered seconds later. He placed several plastic bags on the table and started to unpack them. He then paused and turned to look at you. “I, uh, I’m going to get a hotel room,” he announced.
“No,” you said suddenly. You pushed away from the table. “I don’t want you to go. Please,” you responded, hearing the panic in your voice.
Peter looked down at you, then took your hands and kissed your knuckles. “I don’t want to come between you and Sonny.”
“There isn’t me and Sonny,” you informed him. “There never really was, I already told you that.” There might be a maybe with Sonny you said to yourself. But you got in your own way as usual. “I’m happy you’re here, Peter. Really,” you said reassuringly. And you were happy.
Peter ran a finger down your cheek and smiled. “Good,” he said. Peter visibly relaxed.
You wrapped your arms around Peter and buried your face in his chest.
Peter embraced you tightly and kissed the top of your head. “We’ll make it this time. I know we will.”
You allowed yourself to believe just that.

Hello, how are you? I hope you have been well.
So I saw these prompts that kind of stood out to me and I was thinking about them in reference to one night stand series;
“I’ve never felt like this about anyone, and honestly it scares me.”
"I never stood a chance, did I?” “That’s the sad part – you did once.”
"You were more then a one night stand".
but idk, I just liked them for some reason. Not sure if they work but I thought I'd send them over and get your thoughts?!?!
I don't just see her listening to Sonny and going okay then happy ever after but I also don't know if she is really willing to stop with him either. I'm probably reading to much into this but what do you think?!? When your write a series such as this one was there a thought on how it will go or is it something when you start writing?
I know it sounds silly, I just like the reader. She's flawed with her putting up the walls, arguably self destructive and going back to Stone who seems to be that safe, familiar relationship even if it's not the best (ex for a reason). I love that despite her feelings for Sonny she isn't hanging around to wait to get hurt or even be anyone's second choice.
But Sonny here, I guess the choice has gone because she has, but honestly he's pined, had feelings for, had this close relationship with Rollins for ever that we know. But he had this chance right with someone else. And look what happens!
I'm so invested and like alot of your fics I have been going back and re reading..... Im sorry I'm rambling with no real questions at 4 in the morning my time.
Ps. Okay John Carter, yasss. Such a mood and I love him. I was quite young when ER was on but my mum got me into the re-runs much later and he was def my fav! So excited to hear your writing for him.
First, let me say thank you for sending me your ask. I love when people ask me questions about my series! You really seem to get my writing and the characters :)
The prompts are perfect for the series. So, thank you! In fact I used one in the most recent chapter of the series!
She is definitely not over Sonny nor will she just accept his explanation of his feelings for Amanda. We all know Sonny has liked Amanda for years. Deep down he probably does. You are not reading into it at all! That’s exactly how I want the story to come across.
As far as my writing I usually have a rough idea of how the story is going to play out but sometimes change on a whim. It may depend on how I’m feeling that day emotionally, not liking what I wrote and rewriting, getting a better idea, etc. And sometimes I just get stuck on where to take the story.  I’m releasing the next chapter later today and I am working on the next. And I’m stuck. I have a couple different ways to go.
You’re not silly. I like the character too. I try to write real characters. Everyone has flaws and I try to reflect that in my writings. I feel people can relate to a story or character if they see themselves in a similar situation to having the same feelings and reactions.
Peter Stone is complicated. He is a broken man but he has the capability to love deeply. He truly cares for and loves our leading lady. I have a feeling he is going to fight for her and prove his love to her. Whether he’ll be successful is to be seen.
Don’t count Sonny out though! He cares for the reader as well. She’s made him realize that there is someone out there other than Amanda he can love. I do think he’s torn on what to do because now he thinks that the reader is over him and he lost his chance with her.
I’m still uncertain who the reader will end up with, if anyone! We’ll see where the story takes us!
I’m so happy to hear how much you enjoy and are invested in my fics. I appreciate it so much! Please message me with any questions on my fics, my process, etc.
I love Carter too. I was so naive and sweet when the show began. There were times when he irked me and I didn’t care for how he behaved. I have a middle story for him and the reader but need to work back to thow they meet. I have a couple of different scenarios but not sure if I like them. Stay tuned for Carter fics!
Thank you again so much!!

Could I please request #21 "touch her and I'll kill you" with Mike Dodds please?
Prequel to THIS
“Well, to what do I owe the pleasure?” Peter asked. He wrapped you in a hug and kissed the top of your head.
You relished in Peter’s affection. The familiar scent of his cologne was comforting. “Just missed my big brother,” you said. Since moving in with Mike you didn’t get to see Peter as much as you would have liked.
“I’ve missed you too, kiddo.” Peter released you to arm's length. “I think you’ve grown.” He smirked and put a hand on top of your head.
“Shush,” you chuckled and playfully slapped his hand away. Since you could remember your stature had always been a joke in the family. You bite your bottom lip and crossed your arms over your chest.
“What’s wrong?” Peter asked. His brow furrowed with worry.
“Nothings wrong. Not really. I mean…,” you sighed. “I just have some questions.”
“About what?”
“Mike,” you stated. “I never noticed before but he seems to have an anger problem.”
Peter’s jaw clenched.
“Not with me,” you reassured Peter. “If anything he’s overprotective, almost territorial,” you countered.
Peter’s face noticeably relaxed. “Are you hungry? I can make us soup,” he offered.
“I’m always hungry,” you said. You followed Peter into the kitchen. “Is it canned soup or did Marta make it?”
Peter raised one eyebrow. “Marta. I don’t do canned soup.”
“Right,” you said, rolling your eyes. Peter could be so stuck up sometimes. Where he got it was a mystery. No one else in the family acted like that. “I’ll get bowls,” you offered.
Peter took a plastic food storage container from the refrigerator and then poured the contents into a saucepan. He slowly stirred the soup. “So, you had some questions about Mike?”
Taking a deep breath you relayed your concerns. “We went to a club over the weekend with some other friends. Some random guy started dancing up on me. I pushed him away but Mike saw and…” you trailed off. The look in his eyes gave you chills. His beautiful, soulful green eyes turned vacant. It was like he wasn’t him.
Peter turned from the stove. “And?”
“It was like a switch flipped in his brain. He-he broke the guy's hand,” you answered. “No warning, nothing. Just grabbed his hand a broke it.”
Peter stared at you for a minute. “Is that it?”
You shrugged. “Yeah but I’ve never seen that side of him. It was kind of scary.”
Peter ladled the soup into the bowls on the counter. “Well, he was protecting you. That is his job,” Peter said matter of factly.
“I’m not a job. I’m his girlfriend,” you defended. “Have you seen him be that aggressive or violent?”
Mike had been a  part of the security team since he left the NYPD for reasons that you were not privy to. And sure protecting you was technically part of his job but the recent incident was excessive.
Peter sighed. “There’s a reason I hired him, Y/N.” He took the stool beside you. “As long as he is good to you and keeps you safe there’s really nothing else to discuss.”
You opened your mouth to say something but you got the impression that you weren’t going to make Peter understand your concerns. Instead, you ate the soup and listened to Peter talk about a ranch in Montana he was interested in buying. Maybe you were overreacting. Mike was a good guy. He loved you and did keep you safe. Maybe it was just an isolated incident. That’s what you hoped.
When you returned home a couple of hours later you were surprised to find Mike at home. You pushed your conversation with Peter and the nightclub incident out of your head. Instead, you decided to concentrate on the good things about Mike.
“Hey, babe. I didn’t think I’d see you until late tonight,” you said.
Mike looked up and smiled from where he was sitting on the sofa reading a book. He closed the book and stood from the sofa making his way to you. “Job got canceled,” he informed you. His hands went to your hips.
“Lucky me,” you smirked. You stretched onto tippy toes to kiss him.
Mike pulled you close to his body and return your kiss. “I got something for you.”
“Oh, yeah? And what would that be?” you asked biting your bottom lip and lowering your eyes.
Mike chuckled. “That’s for later.” He gave you a wink and then went to his office. When he returned he had his hands behind his back. “Close your eyes,” he instructed.
You grinned and did as he asked.
Mike stood behind and moved your hair from your neck. “Okay, open your eyes. I was in Chelsea and walked past this little antique shop. When I looked in the window I saw this.”
“Mike,” you gasped. “It-it’s beautiful.” You fingered the delicate silver chain. There was a dark red ruby pendant with silver fringe hanging from the chain.
“I thought you’d like it,” Mike said.
You turned in his arms. “I love it. Thank you.”
Mike cupped your face and gently ran his thumb across your cheek. “Do you know how gorgeous you are? And how much I love you?”
“Not half as much as I love you,” you responded looking up at him and  placed a hand on his chest.
“If only it were that easy,” your co-worker, Susan, said with a laugh as you walked to your cars.
You hefted the bag higher on your shoulder. “Yeah. No doubt,” you replied. Work had been good but you couldn’t wait to get home.
“Must be nice,” Susan said, motioning to your car. “Wish I had a boyfriend that left me flowers.”
When you looked, there was a large bunch of wildflowers on the hood of your car. Right away you knew they weren’t from Mike. The reason you knew this was that Mike was out of town until tomorrow. And it wasn’t Peter’s style. If your brother wanted to give you something he gave it to you personally. So, when you saw the flowers you knew they were from Tate, your co-worker.
You forced a smile. “Yeah.”
“Hey, have a great weekend,” Susan said.
“You too.”
Susan waved to you as she pulled away.
“Hope you like wildflowers,” a man’s voice said from behind you.
At the sound of Tate’s voice, you jumped. You turned to face him. “Tate. I can’t accept these,” you said tersely, shoving the flowers back at Tate.
It was the third time in two weeks that he had left you flowers. There were also dinner invites, bringing you coffee and pastry from your favorite shop. Not to mention the “accidental” touching, calling, texting, and emailing.
When it first started you politely declined or ignored him. He knew you had a boyfriend. Tate had even met Michael at a company outing.  Recently though you had to become more aggressive but apparently he wasn’t going to give up.
Tate took several steps toward you and took the flowers from your hand. “I hear Mike is out of town,” he said. “Thought you could use some company.”
Your eyes grew wide and your chest got tight. “How-”
A sinister smile crossed his lips. “I just know things.”
Your cell rang in your purse but you couldn’t move. It stopped then rang again. With a shaking hand, you fished your phone from the bottom of your purse. “Hel-hello?” you said. “Hi, Peter. No I’m leaving work now,” you said as you unlocked your car, opened the door then got in not taking your eyes off Tate. “I’ll be there in 15 minutes.”
You made it to Peter’s house in less than 10 minutes breaking numerous traffic laws along the way. The entrance gate felt like it took a lifetime to open. Your eyes darted around looking to make sure Tate didn’t follow you.
As the gate closed behind you felt safer. You took in a deep, cleansing breath. Fin was walking out of the house as you pulled around the large circular drive.
“Hey, kid,” Fin called out with a smile. He met you at your car.
“Hi,” you said. “Can I talk to you for a minute? I need a favor.”
“Of course. What do you need?”
“I need this to stay between us. Peter or Mike can’t know,” you requested.
Fin furrowed his brow. “Are you okay?”
“Um,” you responded in a shaky voice. “Kinda.” You went on to explain what was going on with Tate and what you had done so far to try to take care of the situation yourself.
Fin rubbed his hands together. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll take care of it.”
A flood of relief went over you. “Thanks, Fin,” you said giving him a hug.
“No problem.”
Michael spun the keys around his finger while he waited. At first, he was upset that you went to Fin about Tate instead of him. But as he thought about it he understood why you did it. Then he watched as Tate walked from the convenience store to the car. Tate got in, closed the door, and placed his bags on the passenger seat.
“It’s too bad you didn’t heed my warning,” Mike said in a low voice from the backseat.
Tate froze. “I-I-”
Michael shoved the butt of his Glock into Tate’s side. “Shut up. You had a chance. Now, start the car and start driving,” Michael instructed. He directed Tate to an abandoned warehouse.
Tate was sniffling when the pair exited the car. “Hey, man. I promise I won’t-”
“Too late,” Michael stated simply. “What did I say?”
Tate was sobbing now and mumbling so bad that Mike couldn’t understand him. He took a breath. “If I touched her, you would kill me,” he bawled.
Mike nodded. “Yeah. You were lucky actually, the first time. Typically I don’t give any warnings,” Mike stated. “Turn around. Get on your knees and put your hands behind your head.”
“Oh, God. Please, don’t,” Tate cried out.
“I really don’t have the time for this,” Mike sighed. He raised his gun and pulled the trigger shooting Tate between the eyes.
Tate’s body hit the ground with a thud.
Mike put his gun back in the holster and pulled his cell phone from his pocket. He typed a quick text out to the cleaners, then to Peter to let him know things were taken care of.
“Damn. This was my favorite shirt,” Mike said when he saw the blood splatters on his T-shirt.
Mike smiled when your number came up on the phone screen. “Hey, babe. Yeah, just finishing up something. I’ll be home in about an hour. Spaghetti sounds good. Love you more.” He ended the call and then started walking back to his car.
