The pavement shifted before him, the figure shaping itself and standing tall. And it gave him a strange, strange look, one never to be deciphered.

And as the being's face contorted into a horrific grin, body warping and changing, he felt as if he were being pulled. Dragged in. He was given no time to even take a step.

He was set down, forceful, directly into the cold. The room was pitch black, and he knew just where he was.

He thought he did.

He thought he knew, but the feeling of betrayal weighed heavy on his tongue, his mind, his throat, his body.

He was no longer amongst the normality of the world, but was there ever one in the first place?
