thinks it’s stupid the first time you propose it, then gives it a thought because of your pout and realizes it’s a very laid-back activity

plus there will be only kids and he can’t draw worse than a 3-year-old

complains about having to buy chalk but will make sure to get only the best (his younger sister nagged him to anyway)

knows you’re excited and it rubs off on him, and while he’s kinda lazy, he loves spending time with you

the first thing he draws is a lightning next to your cloud

you keep challenging each other and end up with a little story

the kids around you watch intently, their own drawings long forgotten

until his younger sister sits down next to you and draws a flower and some grass while she hums an off-key nursery rhyme

there’s a little space left in the middle of the massive drawing that takes up most of the concrete and the kids tell you and suna to put yourselves in there

he scoffs initially

scribble out your names and two stick figures of you and him and the kids will go crazy

he takes several photos—of you, of your drawing, of the kids, of the final product; he changes his wallpapers with the stick figures and you holding a yellow piece of chalk and laughing at him

kisses your nose before he drops you back home and smiles when you scrunch your face

“i love you.”

“i love you too, rin.”

he enjoyed that day. maybe he’ll do it again—with you, with your children or both

doesn’t let you touch the basket or the blanket after you’ve packed, he’ll carry them for you until you reach the picnic spot

holds your hand the entire way too

feed him pieces of fruit, he’ll look at you with such adoration in his eyes

kisses your hands softly whenever you rest them against his cheeks (pinch them and he’ll grunt)

listens to you as you ramble on about something, his head laid comfortably in your lap. the feeling of your fingers combing through his curls makes his heart go boom boom boom boom i want you in my room—

boop his nose while he sits like that and you might get a low chuckle out of him

kiss his forehead! he’ll snort and raise himself on his elbows to press his lips against yours, whispering “you missed”. such a sweetheart, really
