Chihiro x Sakura : True Meaning of Strength (part 1)

(This story is an anniversary gift <3)

The taunting laugh of the sadistic teddy bear rang through the gym, filling the ears of the students with dread. One student in particular started tearing up from the fear of the situation. That student was Chihiro Fujisaki, the Ultimate Programmer. Chihiro was an interesting student, holding a heavy secret in a cage in his brain, praying no one would ever figure it out. The secret being that Chihiro was actually a boy, in disguise as a defensive strategy to keep safe from bullying. Deep down, the computer prodigy hoped to have a safe place to get stronger and be himself, he just hoped to find a strong man who could offer advice, that is until he met someone who gave some rather game-changing advice.

The morning Monokuma announcement played, waking the programmer from his peaceful dream into the nightmarish reality. Perhaps getting a bite to eat will ease his mind, or so he thought, there was much in that genius brain that would take much more than a meal to fix. Chihiro slipped his shoes on and shuffled on over to the kitchen, where the other students were. There were many colourful characters sitting at that table, and while they were ultimates all the same, Chihiro couldn't help but feel intimidated, especially seeing there were strong students like he hoped. He timidly sat down in the free seat next to a bubbly girl with a red sports jacket, something about her seemed welcoming. Chihiro glanced at the girl next to the swimmer, a rather tall and strong looking fighter, she had multiple scars which further left Chihiro worried, hopefully she was kinder than his anxiety was telling him. Not only her, but another man caught his eye, one that looked rather bored, but something about him left Chihiro with mixed feelings, one that said to avoid at all costs, and the other telling him that this man was who he needed to find. He was snapped out of the thought when a cheerful voice beckoned him.

"Yo! Are you feeling alright? You looked really upset yesterday." The sports girl gave a worried look as Chihiro felt butterflies.

"Y-yeah, I'm okay... I think..." Without warning, a donut was handed to him.

"Be sure to eat something! Donuts always help me feel better!" The girl gave a bright smile that shined on the programmer. "Oops, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Aoi Asahina, the Ultimate Swimming Pro! What about you?"

Chihiro fiddled his fingers together, "Um, I-I'm Chihiro Fujisaki, the Ultimate Programmer. S-sorry, I get embarrassed when I introduce myself like this."

Aoi couldn't contain her joy as she let out a small giggle, "Y'know, you should hang out with us!" She glanced to the girl beside her, looking both timid and intimidating. "She's my best friend here and I know you two will get along well!"

Chihiro felt a warm sensation in his chest, maybe he doesn't have to fight his journey all alone after all. The cold despair slowly changing into warm hope.

It's a lovely feeling to be able to shut off your alarm clock to elongate a blissful dream, to be able to ignore life's struggles and avoid being awoken by such an ear-splitting beep. If only Monokuma had an off switch, then the hope could last as long as the group wanted, but despair isn't sleeping, there will never be a time it will allow a moment of peace in this nightmare school. The laugh of the bear and the dread filling the room was enough to make you forget the pleasant conversations with fellow students just hours beforehand. Chihiro quietly sobbed at the desk he was sat at, the computer screen showing his own PC at home cracked and bloodied with the blood of his father, who had been most likely harmed by the mastermind. The room felt dark and lonesome despite the other students in their respective desks, the programmer's world came crashing down harder than it had the previous evening. It had felt as if the hope no longer existed, that it was time to give up, but there was always a light at the end of a dark tunnel, no matter how grueling and frightening, even if the light is in the form of a rather colossal hand.

"Hey, do not let the despair overtake your mind." The hand had gently rested on his petite shoulder, followed by a massive figure behind him. "This may seem like the end, but we must stay strong and continue the fight against that bear."

Chihiro sniffled and shifted his head to get a look at the figure, who had happened to be Aoi's friend he was introduced to, or rather acknowledged. "U-um..." He stammered but couldn't get the words out.

"My name is Sakura Ogami, we had briefly met this morning. Aoi trusts you, so I would like to become more acquainted with you. Your name is Chihiro, correct?"

Chihiro could feel the warmth returning to light up the dark. "Y-yeah, I am. N-nice to meet you." He gave a shy smile, but a genuine one.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, let's fight together, and never succumb to despair. I shall be there for you whenever you need me." The martial artist gave a sweet, reassuring smile, turning to go check up on Aoi.

As cruel and bitter life seemed, there was always the bright light to help him see. However, Chihiro had more personal issues he was unsure of going about, but he'll figure that out eventually, hopefully.

understanding fujisaki chihiro’s personality via her talent (thereby explaining her actions in the killing game)

I’ve been having some thoughts swirling around in my head recently about Fujisaki My Beloved, so I’m trying to explain them in a stream of consciousness. Sorry if this is a little incoherent.

Fujisaki’s programming prowess was born out of necessity and adversity. Because she was too weak to play outside, and other kids terrorised her for being feminine and weak, she spent her time alone inside. This led to her messing around with her father’s laptop, and discovering she was actually a computer genius.

They say necessity is the father of invention, and you could arguably apply this to Fujisaki’s character. However, perhaps it would be better to word this as “adversity is the father of potential”. When faced with all these challenges in childhood – bullying, disadvantages, and eventually having to repress a major part of her identity* in hopes of being accepted – instead of completely shutting down, Fujisaki found one thing she could call her own – a programming hobby – and mastered it. In other words, when faced with adversity, as much as she may put herself down and see only her weakness that other people harassed her for, Fujisaki Chihiro rises up in some way or another, making something beautiful under the pressure. This programming genius is something uniquely Fujisaki. It is a core part of her identity, she is known for being the best in the country at what she does, she lights up when she gets to talk about the subject, she pours her heart and soul into her creations - so much so that her ultimate invention, Alter Ego, was made in her image (but we’ll get to that). Remembering that Fujisaki had to repress and hide one of the most important parts about herself – her “gender identity”* – in order to get by, it could even explain why she fell so in love with her programming.

Her ability to code was the one thing about her identity no one could really take from her, because for once no one had a problem with it; hell, it’s even notable that Fujisaki assumed Taichi was going to get angry at her for messing around with his computer (in a similar way to how Fujisaki was terrorised by her peers for everything she did, if not for the fact that it’s typically not very nice to mess with someone’s computer without permission) and her pleasant surprise at being supported and admired by her father for her skill gave her room to continue to hone her skills.

The TL;DR of all this is that it was only due to Fujisaki’s problems that she ended up falling into programming, becoming the best programmer in the entire country (at least for her age group, but she is hired by big companies so we can assume she does well among adults too), and creating all these amazing things. No matter what you make Fujisaki face, she will somehow make something incredible out of it. She will deal with hardships in surprising but often beautiful ways.

This is all a preface to the statement that Fujisaki’s actions upon being faced with the secrets motive, then, should come as no surprise. It’s tempting to view her choice to tell a trusted friend the truth about herself in such a possibly dangerous situation when faced with blackmail, as opposed to simply panicking and falling into despair, as her make-or-break moment, the decision in which her personality does a 180 and she changes forever. However, I feel this is doing a disservice to who she always had been, though she doesn’t really give herself credit for it. Fujisaki always had a tendency to take the bad situation she found herself in and produce something good out of it. It happened the moment she turned a computer on due to having no other options, so it obviously happened the moment the mastermind threatened Fujisaki with an outing that could ruin her life and she chose to subvert the Mastermind’s desires and take matters into her own hands. This ability is what granted her the metaphorical strength that towered over basically anyone else who ever held her physical weakness against her, and is an ability that, say, Oowada didn’t possess (but this isn’t about him).

And this is not only subtle but ever-present. Even after she dies. When she finds a broken, good-for-nothing laptop in Hope’s Peak, she (obviously) tinkers around with it and creates Alter Ego. What’s first of note, though I won’t expand on it too much, is that it was made in her own image - the only main difference is that it uses 僕 for itself, in a way Fujisaki could not due to wishing to conceal her true identity**. I’ve already mentioned how programming was basically the one part of Fujisaki’s identity she wasn’t terrorised for or needed to hide and how this most likely contributed to why she liked it so much – and Alter Ego is a demonstration of how Fujisaki therefore used programming as a means of being her true self*; creating a version of herself that she desires to be that lives behind the screen. And Alter Ego’s existence, especially in the Killing Game, is further proof of how she rises up against hardship. Some have theorised that Fujisaki made Alter Ego and put it in the locker that night because she knew she wouldn’t be alive much longer, and I’m inclined to agree. Her desire to help lives on, her desire to help her friends out of the KG lives on beyond Fujisaki herself. Through the bad situation – that is, her impending demise – she built something that helped her friends rise up against the Mastermind.

This disposition of Fujisaki’s is a direct juxtaposition to whatever the hell despair is (though Danron’s writers have a habit of forgetting that despair isn’t just, like, anything that hurts). Despair, being defined purely as “the absence of hope”, is the feeling that there is no longer anything that can be done is an undesirable situation. Fujisaki has been pushed into all sorts of corners and faced with constant ridicule from her peers just for being herself, but has always found some way to shine through. This is why it’s only natural that instead of hitting a brick wall when Monokuma announced the secrets motive, she used it as motivation to change and work towards being the strong person she had wanted to become since the beginning. This disposition surprised the Mastermind almost as much as it pissed her off, only being satisfied again when things turned sour for Fujisaki due to not fault of her own. Of course it would surprise the Mastermind, a brain so hooked on despair that anything which denies it power simply doesn’t add up.

And now we come to the obvious conclusion; that this is why Fujisaki is the character chosen to be “the one that lived on after death”. This one actually comes from an interview with the creators (which I reference a LOT)***, in which they state that Fujisaki’s programming talent was used as a means of making her a “revivable” sort of character. Knowing that what granted the other six survivors their right to survival was to battle against the despair of the KG, its motives, and the truth about The Tragedy, it makes sense that Fujisaki should survive alongside them somehow. It makes sense that Naegi having hope is how Alter Ego managed to save him. It makes sense that she’s a crucial part of the Future Foundation. Fujisaki cannot give into despair by design.

This ended up as some sort of comfort since I usually scrape by barely in math- Im more of the literature type

【Chihiro Fujisaki】

• His feelings are generally based on your emotions. Like if you are sad, he'd be sad too

• He noticed how you seemed worried about some sort of thing. You are usually quite cheerful, contrasting his shy personality, but that wasn't quite the case for today

• Once it was just you two alone, Chihiro asked you why you seemed to be so worried

• You seemingly broke down, telling him you are worried that you might fail your math class

• He hugged you, a reassuring smile on his face while he calms you down. You are in lucky because he is really good with numbers (He is the Ultimate Programmer)

• So he offers to tutor you so you can understand in any of the stuff you need help in!

• You feel so happy, and so lucky to have someone as kind and sweet as him. And so now you two study dates together and go over any math material you don't understand, and he helps you with it!

【Mikan Tsumiki】

• Mikan is always one to notice some kind of change or shift in anyone's mood

• So once she sees that you are worried about something, it ends up worrying her as well

• Did she do something? Did she mess something up? Are you thinking of breaking up with her? Oh the thoughts were endless and just kept on coming

• But since she's learning to not jump into any conclusions, she decided to ask you on what's on your mind instead

• "H-hey S/O?,, um,, I noticed you seemed to be worried about something,, A-and if you need someone to listen or anything, t-then I'm here for you."

• You apologized for making her worried and told her that you are just worried about possibly failing your math class

【Miu Iruma】

• Lets just say - comforting people isn't her specialty, to you or anyone in general

• But even then, she is determined to cheer you up, no matter what the source of your sadness may be

• Usually, you would go to her directly for any sort of help that's in her field of speciality

• Today, however, you were hesitant. You needed someone to just vent too, but is the Ultimate Inventer herself, your proud and cocky girlfriend, really the best person to do so?

• You go to her anyways, and tell her about your worries

• And as expected, she laughs and says a snarky comment or two (but it's all in good fun)

• Don't worry though! This gorgeous girl genius has a plan to help you get rid of these worries

• She would show off any of her latest inventions to you, ranting on about how it works and its functions. Plus if you really want, you can test a few out for her (or just to mess with them)

• But if that doesn't work then you would get hugs and kisses, maybe a few cuddles by the end of the day!

• And if anything, she could help you in math if you reallyyyyy need it

• You sure are lucky that your girlfriend is always their for you

Heads up! This fic is a lil more vulgar than my previous ones, not super crazy but mainly just suggestive dialogue so if you're not super chill with that then I suggest skipping.

!Programmed to comfort!

"Oooooh fuck meeeee..." The portly inventor moaned as she leaned back in her worn desk chair, it buckling and creaking due to both it's cheap build quality and her added girth. Miu clutched her distended and pink tinted tummy as it gurgled and churned all the sugary contents that had been shoved inside it.

Miu had always been proud of her body, skinny or fat she loved to remind everyone how much of a gorgeous girl genius she was, after being caught up in the academy for gifted juveniles experiment, and getting a taste for culinary arts from stuff OTHER than Uber eats. Miu sought out to replicate that food with SCIENCE!

Hormone enhancing supplements embedded of course, she needed to be full and ready to fuck at all times! Although her substance of choice maaaay not have been the most healthy.

See Miu always had a sweet tooth, so her first choice NEEDED to be donuts. They had the perfect consistency for supplements and overall experimentation! Plus they were just really fucking delicious.

Attempt after attempt after attempt. Miu worked day and night trying to find the right balance of taste and "kick" to the donuts, each failed experiment needing to be exposed of...by Miu eating them.

Several weeks in and her eating habits had taken its toll. A spare tire roll filled the lower part of her dress, as her belts clung and strained over her enlarged chest and jiggly thighs.

But finally Miu had a breakthrough.

"Mmmmm....Oh....OOOOOOOH FUCKING YES.....OOOOOOOOH~" Miu moaned as the ecstasy from her magnum opus filled her mouth with glory.

"HAHAH!! I CAN ALREADY FEEL MY PUSSY THROBBING...MORE...I NEED MORE" Miu moaned again as she plopped into her office chair and immediately got to work on mass produced "Dicknuts" as she called them.

Many more weeks of thick, heavy donuts and Miu went from plump and well fed to borderline obese. And here we are today with her stuffed to the brim.

"URRRRRP...Ooooh god that was too much...burp...thick...creamy...*gurgle* goodness..." Miu murmured as she continuously belched to soothe the pressure.

Just as she was slowly coming down from the high, a certain small programmer peered through the doorway of the lab: Chihiro Fujisaki.

They had been assisting Miu is most of the data building process of the "dicknut" and came to check in on her regularly. Most were put off by Mius vulgar takes and none of it much helped with her barely leaving her lab the past few weeks. But Chihiro had a weird sense of intrigue when it came to Miu. Her brash and upfront nature contrasted with her submissive take backs made her an interesting character to hang out with.

Also helped that Chihiro had always taken a liking to larger bodies so Miu softening herself up always left them hot and bothered about how Miu would develop.

"U-uhm Miu? Is everything ok?" Chihiro asked walking up to the padded inventor.

"Hgggnh...what does it look like dick cheese?! The latest batch felt like a rock and now I-URRRP- oh god have a rock in my belly..." Miu whined as her belt buckle straps groaned and creaked with all the pressure of her flab.

Chihiro stared down at the flabby blonde in front of her. Her whole body ladent with glistening sweat and layers of plyable pudge. The programmer was never one to engage in more intimidate acts but this felt appropriate.

Chihiro slowly walked to Miu and undid her main belt having her chest and belly way more free for a soothing tummy rub.

"H-HEY AT LEAST BUY ME DINNER F- Oh oooooh....that feels so much better...heheh..." Miu barked before cooing with relief as the pressure of her clothing soon subsided as Chihiros stick thin fingers glided across Mius taut tummy.

"D-dont stop...ooooh..." Miu moaned as Chihiro cupped Mius belly in their hands and massaged it gently, making circles in its doughy form and soothing any particular stressed points. A belly was something to be cared for and Chihiro had been programmed (heh) to know how to handle any type of tummy. Big or small, droopy or taut Chihiro would handle it.

"Urrrrrrp...Ooh~ you're doing gods work with those hands...makes me wanna know what else they can do~" Miu teased regaining her more brash and vulgar nature.

Chihiro was very much used to Mius passes and remarks but never really took the interest, tummies were all they needed. But in this case, why not have a bit of fun? Chihiro slapped Mius massive orb of a belly and sent it into a jiggly and ripply mess causing a monsoon of belches to emit from the inventors mouth.

"Real fucking-UUUURRRRP-Clever of ya..." Miu retorted as Chihiro smirked a little as they continued to caress her over filled middle.

"You know for a pipsqeuak you're kinda cute when you do that" Miu blurted out, her face flushing a shade of red. Chihiro looking up also a little flustered, they decided maybe it was ok to get a little closer so they climbed up onto the chair and sat right ontop of Mius puffy lap and belly.

*Chihiro and Alter Ego sit down on a spare seat on the table. The other seats are taken up by Kaede, Shuichi and Yoruko, as well as Miu who just lounges on the sofa.

*Eventually, there’s a knock on the front door. Shuichi gets up and let’s the person who arrived in.

*Shuichi sits down at the end of the table, and faces the group, sans Miu, who is behind him.

Ok, so I’ve called you all here because I wanted to discuss the next phase of the plan...For those who don’t know what’s happened, allow me to recap.

The previous night, Kaede, Miu and I, along with the help of Mii-Yu and Chihiro’s Alter Ego, infiltrated the High Roller cabaret club, and we were able to find evidence of something more serious going on.

*Shuichi pushes some processed photo’s onto the table.

What the heck is this?

This is from a base that’s hidden underneath the cabaret. With this, I think we have two specific reasons for wanting to stop whatever he’s got planned.

From the information we found out, I’ve been able to piece together some information, and I believe I know what Kokichi plans to do.

What’s that?

Kokichi is holding a man hostage down there...The chances are, he’s some kind of programmer.

Down in the base, we found the empty shell of our robot friend Keebo. We tried to activate him, but it didn’t work. He was like a lifeless husk.

So what does Kokichi plan to do with him?

My guess is...He wants to create an Alter Ego, and then upload his Alter Ego into Keebo’s body. Why, I don’t know...but that’s what we’re trying to find out.

That’s not possible.

Why not?

Because I’m the only person who knows how to make an Alter Ego program. Yes, others have done it, but that’s because they stole top secret government research from the information I gave them.

Come on, there must be some way...Maybe he got his hands on the research, handed it to the scientist, and then set him to work.

If that’s the case, why did Kokichi need to bring in the scientist in the first place? If he had the research, then why not just make the AI himself? Mikado did it...

Yeah, but Mikado was a smart enough man and researcher that he knew what to do and when to do it.

But Kokichi’s the same. He’s no scientist, but he’s not short on brains.

Kokichi didn’t steal any research. If any files had gone missing from the Future Foundation database, someone would have mentioned it.

That’s why the man in question down in the base is so important to him...

While Syobai and Iroha are wanted by the Kisaragi Foundation, Kokichi, who is wanted by US, is the one in charge right now, which means he takes priority, and thus we get priority over the Kisaragi Foundation...

Not only that, but because he was in charge, that means that the High Roller will become property of the Future Foundation. Which would then mean the Kisaragi Foundation wouldn’t be allowed to go there for business purposes.

Syobai and Iroha could work there, and they’d be untouchable.

Bio: Chihiro Fujisaki is a student in Hope's Peak Academy's Class 78th, and a participant of the Killing School Life. Their title is the Ultimate Programmer || super High School Level Programmer.

When Chihiro was a child, he became the subject of harassment and bullying. He was always told to "be a man" and that he was "so weak despite being a boy", and because of that, Chihiro slowly but surely began to develop a "weakness complex". In order to escape the bullying, Chihiro began to dress as a girl so that people wouldn't bully him as a weak boy. This only served to worsen his complex, as it wasn't addressing the root of his problems, and he would get bullied even more if the truth was found out.

Because he was too weak to play outside with his friends, Chihiro spent most of his time on the computer. His father, Taichi Fujisaki, was a software engineer that developed many major computer programs, and while using his computer Chihiro found an incomplete information retrieval system that utilized voice input. This led to him creating his own modifications to it, and he soon realized that he could write programs by himself. Chihiro's father praised him for his work and, as he finally found something he could take pride in, he became absorbed in programming.

As a teen genius, Chihiro became famous for creating cutting-edge programs, to the point that he started developing top-secret AI programs for an unnamed company. Due to him resembling a "timid little bunny" (and because he was believed to be a female), he gained several fans.

Note: Follows game canon and my own personal headcanons. No, my Chihiro is not trans -- everyone is free to HC as they wish but don’t force something I don’t see working on my writing, not to mention it contradicts with his backstory, in my humble opinion.
