So, in Long Time Gone there's a scene where Pearl is briefly at a gas station and then a gem monster shows up? I can't tell you why but I do know I did an embarrassing amount of reading about above vs underground fuel storage. They're at the gas station for like three paragraphs and I'm not gonna check if I even mentioned the fuel tank but I can tell you it has no bearing on the story whatever. I really doubt I did.

Also there was an unfinished/unpublished Murderbot fic that had me reading the wikipedia page for "dropped ceiling."

Well, first thing is I need to do it more, and actually finish the things I do write. But really I feel like my prose is sort of... wordy? I like using old words and weird words and alliteration and rhythm but I think it gets in the way of readability sometimes. Part of the reason I've started writing music aha.

#thank you for asking!! #for clarification on the murderbot thing: there was like a murder mystery where a guy was found dead with a ceiling panel on him #and it was like oooh he was murdered and then they made it look like a panel fell on him to cover it up #then it was no it fell on him for real and knocked him out and then he succumbed to the poison but everyone's focused on the ceiling thing #as a red herring #then i decided that was too complicated and went with something else
