i think we should all collectively gaslight people/edit the wiki to try and convince people omegaverse was canon to the DSMP. or make a fake second wiki.

*grabs you by the shoulders* ok so after wilbur died and fundy was alone and grieving he kept getting picked on for being an orphan by the rest of the server, for example puffy built an obsidian box around his house in new lmanburg and labelled it an orphanage. fundy was already dealing with the loss of his dad + the appearance of a ghost that was supposed to be his dad but didn't remember half of his life, and now he had to deal with this too. so he starts to mine it meanwhile jack manifold is trying to cheer him up, not helped by the fact that ghostbur keeps hanging around despite fundy not wanting him there. Jack tries to get fundy to look on the bright side, he says that the obsidian box around his house could function as protection from tnt, and so, to prove that's bullshit, fundy places a tnt beside the house he spent so long building and blows up a portion of it. Destroys his own work, a part of his home just to prove a point. It's a self destructive act of defiance. Ghostbur and jack both agree that was unnecessary and jack maintains it could protect the house from outside attacks. fundy continues to take the wall down. Ghostbur fixes the hole in fundy's house, but leaves evidence of the explosion. He puts a sight down saying "-CAUTION- Fallen debris". Now, I need you to know how insane I am over the fact that after doomsday, after the entirety of new Lmanburg was decimated, that sign was the only part of fundy's home that remained unbroken. A sign, surrounded by the rubble of a fallen nation, destruction as far as the eye can see, warning of fallen debris. A sign for a self destructive act of defiance. I am going to eat drywall about this

I was reading some post you reblogged about the c!karlnapity wedding getting crashed and it reminded me that me and a friend used to have a legit theory that c!dnb would crash into the fiances wedding and kill c!Quackity during it as a direct reflection of c!quackity's mistakes and then were both very dissapointed when it did not happen

ah damn. that does seem like a good thing to happen it would have been so fun :( just crash boom and then death

also it may seem unrelated but I always wished there was more reaction to Dream's torture in the lore. everyone cared so much about exile but when they heard Dream got tortured no one cared and most of the characters don't even know. I wanted something to happen. I wanted c!q to have consequences. I wanted there to be something at least. like sapnap didn't even care. it makes me so sad still.

and yes c!Dream is the direct consequences of Quackity's mistakes as I said in that post I reblogged like. crash the wedding. kill him. i dont know. something must happen. I'm also still dissapointed :(

how did you get into both dreamnap and dreamnoblade? where is the connect and the appeal, i really want to know.

ive answered a pretty similar question to this before (which you can read here) but since this is asking for both dreamnap and dreamnoblade, ill try to answer as best and as detailed as i can. please note that some parts will be a direct copy of my previous post, but all in all this is pretty much the entirety of my dsmp experience, meaning there's lots of new Ry lore™ to read about lmao

so, without further ado,

here's a real-time recap of my slow decent to madness pt. 2 (aka falling in love with Dreamnap and DNB, then starting a side blog dedicated to these two amazing ships™)

includes reaction memes for funsies and also to provide a visual for all of my recent emotions as i traverse the dsmp fandom firsthand

ok, let's gooooooooo

starting this off with how i got into dsmp in general. so i actually knew about dsmp way back when the fandom was just starting (bc who didn't? this fandom was the talk of the town (derogatory) given the hate most people gave it for being #cringe) ive seen the way other fandoms have clowned dsmp fans (mainly dream stans) and i for one, did not enjoy being clowned at, so yeah i dipped and did not look into the lore too much given the circumstances. at that time, i didn't really know anyone except for c!dream given that he was the one (1) character that piqued my interest, and he stuck to me bc of the smiley face mask and i really liked the fanarts i saw of him back then, even when i had no interest to join the fandom back then.

(narrator voice, ominous: she was in it for a surprise)

so flashforward to the year 2022 where nothing is real except for the eraser shavings on my desk and the half finished wips collecting pixelated dust on my laptop for months and boom i was reintroduced to dsmp but this time there was interest bc this time around, i was reintroduced to c!dream via a really nice animation by sadist and since i had no other fandom to hyperfixate on during these trying time, my lizard brain was all like:

but as soon as i consumed every sadist dsmp animation known to man, i realized something very quickly, my love for c!dream is all encompassing, but there's still room in my heart for maybe two (2) more characters, which i why i was led to the simple conclusion of finding more characters to love and cherish along with dream, hence why i found sap and techno, my two other beloved.

so my love for dream, sapnap, and techno is rooted on the fact that i personally love all of their character designs, also i just find it quite fascinating how powerful and dangerous their characters are individually, and at that moment, my brain went decided to ask me a question that would change everything:

my brain 🧠: what would they be like together?

me 🤡: you mean like a team, right? platonically??

my brain 🧠, crackling: no.

[cue alarm bells ringing in my head]

so yeah, the possiblity of shipping c!dream with the two other characters ive come to know and love was now a very big possibility (mainly bc i want my fav boy (c!dream) to be loved and cherished, and who better to love and cherish c!dream than my two other favs???) <- sound logic, me thinks.

so after maybe two hours of looking for fanarts of the characters dubbed as a green teletubby, an arsonist, and the blood god (all in that order) ive found etcetera art's insta and twt account, full of amazing fanarts of all three of them, and i knew i was onto something when i wanted to see all three of them together...

(note that scavenging through twt for a dsmp fanart is a nightmare if you don't really care abt the other characters, bc let me tell you, you will end up finding more fanarts of that character than who you were looking for in the first place)

so a lot more digging around and i found out something very important about sap and techno when it comes to dream:

for sapnap: "And they're childhood friends in the lore. oh man, they're childhood friends in the lore???"

and for techno: "And they're rivals in the lore. oh man, they're rivals in the lore????"

i zoomed in on these two facts immediately and began my quest to look for more animatics, fanarts, and even fanfiction focusing on two things: dream and sap's dynamic AND dream and techno's dynamic. i looked for content regarding their rivalry and friendship and i even found the tags #rivalstwt / #rivalsduo (for dream and techno, which i initially thought was considered both platonic and romantic, so you could imagine the sheer devastation i felt after finding out on the same day that shipping them is not in fact considered "morally acceptable")

and for sap and dream, i found the tag #dreamnap (which, as it turns out is not as popular or as widely accepted as i thought it would be, surprising given that dreamnap oozes childhood friends to lovers so much, i thought everyone loved childhood friends to lovers???)

(me, as soon as i realized i was the only one in the c!technodreamnap agenda, i will not be stopped)

initially i was ok with the whole platonic rivalry (for techno and dream) and the friendship (for sap and dream), but the more i was fed this idea that shipping c!dream and c!techno is wrong, the more i felt compelled to like it. and the lack of fan works for dreamnap was getting to me, i was itching to make my own fics for these two ships the moment my two braincells connected and formed a critical thought.

plus, i already knew i was going to fall in love with BOTH dreamnap and dnb (bc dnf is just so boring and this ship never appealed to me even back then plus karlnapity isn't for me, i dont like q and k lmao) the moment i found out that they're the three strongest characters in the dsmp lore + the other canon events in the story like doomsday and the life debt dnb keep owing each other throughout each important event is enough fuel for me to keep this ship sailing, and the fact that despite how they only consider each other as business partners, c!techno still rescued c!dream from prison knowing the risk and c!dream still remembers the mountain where they first met (how am i not going to romanticize this? how??)

and then there's the fall of dremanap in the canon lore, the heavy implications, the angst, and the fact that no matter what happens, they are each other's downfall as much as they love and care for the other (that's some very fucked up trope that we all need in a childhood friends to enemies to lovers dynamic, imho)

so in conclusion, my love for dreamnap and dnb started from curiosity that led to shock and bitterness that fueled my spite and the burning need to consume and create content for the only two (2) ships that i actually find interesting in this entire fandom.

it's a crime that there's so little content for these two ship, a crime i tell you!

so yes, im BOTH a dreamnap and a dnb shipper and my entire side blog is dedicated to block men: 500k words, slow burn, childhood friends to enemies to lovers as well as rivals to rivals to lovers, pining, angst with a happy ending, doomsday husbands and chaos husbands 😌❤️💚🤍

this concludes my very long and unawaited part two of my slow decent to madness™ post. i hope my experience (as well as my suffering) was at least entertaining to read! and i hope i managed to answer you question, anon (and maybe get you to consider shipping this with me)

Uuuuuuuuhm that's a tough question... There are certainly many authors that I would love Collab with/be friends with too. I can already tell you that every story I have bookmarked on ao3 was written by authors I adore

Here is a list that i came up with on the top of my head (it does not include every author I would love to Collab with since my memory is bad sorry ):

honestlynotvibing (they write fantastic dialogue and are apparently a goldmine of information. I love the way they interpret Techno's character which is certainly different from mine but I adore it to death) Just recently I read their newest work New Hire which is honestly incredible and you should read it! (I also wrote a long af comment praising them to death).

Ego (or aetheras): they’re already a dear friend of mine and I wouldn’t mind at all to write something with them. They’re an incredible writer who spits out fic after fic every week like it's nothing! You really only have to read one work of theirs to fall in love instantly with their writing style! But tbh I would rather do a gift exchange with them (with me drawing something and they write a story for it, or the other way around, with them writing a story and I draw an image for it (either way is fine)).

Anon: I have bookmarked one story of an anon writer who wrote the incredible story Little things that matter. Not only do they write Piglin!Techno propaganda they also have a talent for building up tension over multiple chapters! I also love the way they write c!Dream (he is cute as hell)! Sadly they’re publishing their work under anon which makes it impossible for me to find them in any way! </3 But I wanted to put them here anyway because I love their work! If you’re reading this anon-author know that I love you (/p)! <3

Sawtron: they’re an author I stumbled upon a few days ago. They wrote the dark but honestly interesting story Breaking Treasure (tw: rape/non-con; Stockholm syndrom). If you don’t have a soft core and like reading smut, I recommend it. While, I myself, usually keep away from non-con stories they plot as well as writing style kept me hooked through the darkish part. They admitted that it’s their first time writing smut but honestly it’s written so well you don’t even notice it. I wouldn’t mind collabing with them someday, they seem like a very nice person (they also have the same weird kinks as me)!

Those are the only ones I came up with on the top of my head, I know that I forget many more! Maybe I will return to this post and add some more. Honestly, I just want to praise some authors out there. It kind of became my hobby to write long af comments under dnb ffs (maybe some of you read some of them already, they are novel length lol)

Maybe a little bit late, but my opinion on your modern WoW music post is :ok_hand: to the max. Because of that post, you got me into looking up new music and I really appreciate it! Been listening to a lot of dancehall particularly, because I'm a big troll fan. Speaking of which, can you tell us more about what troll clubs are like? Can you give us anymore examples of what contemporary trollish jams sound like? Do they differ from tribe to tribe?

hey, thank you so much!! i’m always happy when i can get people interested in new music, especially because I dont want the scene i love so much to die out!

for troll clubs, one need not look any further than the shatterspear village! i feel they’d be big proponents of outdoor events, especially because i feel many of them would partake in smoking particular substances. while there is definitely “arena” dnb (cough), the genre of “jungle” is aptly named for the trolls.

footwork, trap, jersey club, and reggaeton are all more ‘club’ genres; an indoor troll club would have a generous patio, a stocked bar, and lots of ventilation. no raver rain at troll venues!! they have enough humidity as it is. as you got further up north you’d have stone and brick venues with high ceilings, perhaps repurposed ruins of abandoned temples.

genres differing from tribe to tribe is a really cool idea, but both the genres and types of trolls are so varied that there’s bound to be bleedover.

basically, some of the oldest electronic dance music in existence has its roots in hip hop. with the introduction of sampling and pre-recorded drum loops (like the Amen break), the genres split into several different directions. breakbeat, as it is aptly named, utilized the potential to break down and rearrange beats, creating experimental drum loops that can be manipulated to a point of acting as their own instruments. jungle, and then drum’n’bass and all of its off-shoots, are products of breakbeat.

so the thing about breakbeat and jungle is that they’re huge sprawling genres, and as we advance further beyond into trap and footwork, they’re still growing. at their root is their hip hop influence, though, so much as these genres vary by region in real life, so too would they vary among trolls.

here are some troll-ish tracks across various genres to check out! i feel like they have the potential to be fitting for several different types of trolls and their tribes.

Channel X — Keep on Movin’ (drumline eurodance??)
