as flawed as the locations in worldborne are, the rotten vale is genuinely fantastic especially in terms of concept

i love the relationship between the coral highlands and the rotten vale since its much like how the actual ocean is structured!! the deeper you go, the more disgusting looking critters there are, all living off of those who swim down too far or die. that’s the abridged version anyways. one of the most unique area concepts i’ve seen in any game i’ve played at least, plus the place being made up of various dalamadur remains is an awesome touch (the bigger mons especially elder dragons are inherently interesting from an ecosystem standpoint and details like this are ones i enjoy).

#in some ways it could be argued nakarkos inspired some of the lore behind the vale #and y’know what i love the idea of locations and monsters that have some influence on death #rotten vale is also beautiful tbh #i really should pick up world again hhhh maybe that’s how i’ll spend my down time in the late spring/summer #aside from 3u hhhhh #shantien rambles #monster hunter

Kylar thoughts n headcanons- hygiene edition!

♡ Has pretty greasy and oily skin, so he tends to have a lot of outbreaks of spots over his face and his body, and would have bacne too. He picks at his spots a lot and won't stop even after it bleeds and eventually scabs up.

♡ Struggles with using razors because he never got taught by his father, so he'll more often than not end up cutting himself by accident when trying to shave what little facial hair he has. He's only able to grow a pathetically small amount of wispy peach fuzz on his upper lip.

♡ Because of his lack of shaving skills, he doesn't even bother with his pubes. At most he'll trim them when he remembers to, but most of the time it's incredibly unkempt down there so it ends up getting musky and gross down there when he's warm. Same with his armpits as well, it's practically a swamp in there.

♡ Like with the pube trimming, he showers when he remembers to, or when he wants to impress the object of his affections. Most of the time though he'd reek of sweat and grease, alongside a hint of garlic when he's out of his manor.

♡ Probably could be coaxed by his partner to shower more and get better into a better hygiene routine, but he'd want them in the shower with him in return for that! His partner would have to get used to bathing him down in 3-in-1 shampoo though...

♡ He'd definitely want to get his scent on his beloved's bed sheets, so at times he might not purposely shower so he can spread his scent all over their bed whilst they're not home.

♡ Bites his nails until they're chewed up, and then bites the skin around his fingers too. Definitely has a hang nail or two which cause him irritation, and he will bite them until they bleed.

♡ Struggles with laundry, so his clothes tend to have quite a few "mystery" stains on them. Would wear most of his clothes for several days at a time until they reek. As with his body, they smell pretty stongly of sweat and garlic.
