now, you may be wondering. how does a man who makes 120K+ a year, not have the money? and that, was a question i mulled on for years. never to be answered by common adult excuses, and, as someone who was a child until a year ago, i got it.

but after the heated discussion about not sending my little sister to the absolute landmark shithole of south jersey, he muttered this among many other things:

“and i want to keep building my retirement fund up as much as i can”

and that, my friends was when the smoke cleared. that’s when the stage lights flicked on, and the play was fucking over. eighteen fucking years of this man telling me he didn’t have time for me, and yet, not enough money to help me when the time came, and the fog was fucking lifted.
