Personality

Bethany starts off as a studious, shy and socially reserved girl due to her strict upbringing. She is well-mannered and polite being raised in an aristocratic wizarding family. Being the firstborn daughter of House Pentaghast meant that her elders had great expectations for her to become the next Matriarch of her house.

Her mother and grandmother's strictness while growing up had led her to retreat to her books to daydream about tales of heroes of old as a means of escapism from her responsibilities. To her, books are her one escape from reality.

Her deep-rooted desire to escape the clutches of her demanding family and find the courage to forge her own path in life had caused the Sorting Hat to place her in Gryffindor as it overrides her desire to fulfill her elders' expectations of having her be sorted in Ravenclaw.

As she grows older, she becomes more confident and unafraid to speak her mind, influenced by Miriam Fig who inspired courage within her. She is a very kind individual whose sense of altruism would lead her to place others above herself. Even when wronged by someone, she refuses to let go of her strong moral code and treat her opponents with respect. She still prefers to treat races deemed inferior by wizardkind (Goblins, Faeries, etc) with respect despite her noble origins.

However, she does have a judgmental streak where she would display a dismissive attitude toward subjects or topics she considers illogical or regards as pseudo-science such as Astrology and Divination. This would lead her to several disagreements with her housemate Emilia Lindley, who loves both subjects dearly.

She can be dishonest with certain people, often displaying a "tsundere-like" behavior toward them. Often toward people with whom she feels conflicting emotions. Her inability to be forthcoming with them is largely influenced by how her mother would punish her harshly for expressing negative emotions.

This is what I'm talking about. Like she said she was a woman and lived as a woman until her death. She pretty clearly wanted to be remembered as a woman. Is that not a pretty good indication of her gender identity? She used she/her pronouns in English. Using they/them pronouns because we don't know the intimate details of her gender identity seems overcautious.

keegan messing's free at sci: now, this one is simply for the vibes. it was his last ever skate canada and the vibes during this event were terrible. everyone was flopping. energy was low. then keegs saved us and we all stomped and yelled and cried

kevin aymoz's short in espoo: he is sooooooo good and soooooo fun. his free is also good and hilarious bc it's a song of achilles program set to gladiator. i'm not kidding

ilia malinin's free at skam: so, listen. i am not an ilia girlie but he DID land a 4a 15 feet from us and it WAS impressive and i did scream about it, and since he is shoma's main competition at the gpf this year i feel that i should link this

unfortunately i only really care about 2 of the men in the gpf this year and the rest of my faves flopped bad enough at least once to keep them out of the running.

Long time no see..

It's 1720 now in my game and the 2nd generation is just about to get married!

Remember little André? My Heir is married to Chloé (the girl on the left, who is secretly in love with the girl on the right - Anne, the Cousin of André - the drama!)

This is Bastien and Daphné who are going to be married soon. But Bastien not so secretly loves Chloé and is very mad about the wedding of André and Chloé.

And the third born son Calvin and his soon to be fiancé Èlodie. He's not very flirty yet he tries and succeeds.

Anne the Cousin who lost their parents at a very young age moved to the merciers when she was 10 and grew up with the five brothers. She's now married to Edgar Gauthier (a Townie).

Dominique & Emilien are up to no good also grew up to teens recently. I'm so excited to see who the lucky girls are that they will end up with!

Also.. an update on Raphael and Camille.. they aren't together anymore just pretending for the family's sake at this point. Camille hooked up with a townie and Raphael was flirting with some other women too. They had a huge fight.. I guess it's not exactly a happy ending for them, sadly. The 1710s were wild and with a lot of unexpected drama and spice. I'm so excited what 1720's brings.. so many new beginnings and weddings to plan for.. 🖤

La Escuela De Los Fisiócratas

ORIGEN Y DESARROLLO

La fisiocracia surgió como una reacción al mercantilismo, que era la escuela de pensamiento económico dominante en Europa en ese momento. Los mercantilistas sostenían que la riqueza de una nación se basaba en la acumulación de metales preciosos, como el oro y la plata. Para ello, el gobierno debía intervenir en la economía para fomentar el comercio exterior y proteger la industria nacional. En Francia, el mercantilismo se había traducido en una serie de regulacionesgubernamentales que controlaban la producción, el comercio y el consumo.

Estas regulaciones eran muy perjudiciales para el crecimiento económico, ya que impedían la libre competencia y la innovación. Los fisiócratas, por su parte, sostenían que la riqueza de una nación se basaba en la agricultura. La tierra era la única fuente de riqueza real, y la agricultura era la única actividad que generaba un excedente de producción económico, ya que impedían la libre competencia y lovación.

PRINCIPALES REPRESENTANTES

François Quesnay: Fue el fundador de la escuela fisiócrata. Su obra más importante fue "La tabla económica", en la que presentó un modelo de la economía que mostraba cómo la riqueza circulaba entre las diferentes clases sociales.

Pierre le Mercier de la Rivière (1720-1793): Fue un discípulo de Quesnay. Su obra más importante fue "L'Ordre naturel et essentiel des sociétés politiques", en la que expuso las principales ideas de la escuela fisiócrata.

Anne-Robert-Jacques Turgot (1727-1781): Fue un ministro de finanzas del rey Luis XVI. Fue el principal exponente de la escuela fisiócrata en el gobierno francés.

PRINCIPALES IDEAS

La riqueza de la nación proviene de la tierra: Los fisiócratas sostenían que la tierra era la única fuente de riqueza real. La agricultura era la única actividad que podía generar un excedente de producción, que era la base de la riqueza de una nación.
