El único museo sobre la Guerra Civil española, que es online y ha sido impulsado desde Canadá, está en plena expansión. Abierto hace un año y medio, el Museo Virtual de la Guerra Civil Española acaba de superar las 71.000 visitas coincidiendo con la apertura de cuatro nuevas galerías, la incorporación de más de 150 entradas y la traducción al francés de todo el contenido, que está disponible también en inglés y español
A partir de ahora, los visitantes podrán consultar casi 300 entradas que recopilan un ambicioso archivo visual y narrativo que abarca varios aspectos de este “evento crucial del siglo XX”, como lo califica la web. A los contenidos ya existentes sobre el comienzo de la contienda y su desarrollo, las retaguardias o la vida cotidiana en el frente, se han sumado ahora nuevas categorías: una galería abierta en la que el público puede aportar sus objetos y recuerdos personales, dos sobre cómo se vivió la guerra en Euskadi y Catalunya –disponibles en catalán y vasco– y una última sobre cómo la vio el resto del mundo
El proyecto, creado por los historiadores Antonio Cazorla y Adrian Shubert junto a otros investigadores, busca contar la contienda de 1936-39 desde distintos puntos de vista y ante la falta de un museo “de ladrillo” en España. Está previsto que Madrid acoja el primero a nivel nacional sobre memoria democrática. Un anuncio, todavía por concretarse, que llega 49 años después de la muerte de Franco y a las puertas del 85 aniversario del fin de la guerra, que se cumple este 1 de abril
Cazorla, catedrático desde hace una década de Historia Contemporánea de la Universidad de Trent (Canadá), atribuye el retraso a “la incapacidad de la clase política de llegar a un consenso mínimo sobre la necesaria pedagogía sobre el pasado”: “En España hay miedo de enfrentarnos a nuestra historia. Se piensa que el pasado es problemático y se prefiere no hablar de él que enfocarlo haciendo historia pública”

Al-Ettifaq manager, Antonio Cazorla, has said that there is a ‘strong feeling’ around Paris Saint-Germain Lionel Messi’s transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Messi’s current contract with PSG will expire this summer.
The Argentina captain has not made a decision on his future yet, but there have been different reports going around.
The 35-year-old is touted with a return to Barcelona less than two years after leaving the Catalan club, but it seems like a move to Saudi Arabia could be on the cards too.
But according to Cazorla, there is a ‘feeling among the fans’ and Saudi media that Messi could indeed move to the country, particularly after Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock transfer to Al-Nassr last December.
“Here, there is a lot of talk about it, I don’t know what will happen, but I am sure that they’re going to overturn to achieve the arrival of Messi or some other great star,” Cazorla told Marca.
“The feeling of both the fans and the media is that they’re going the right way and that they’re going to sign him.”
