Ultimately, Krysanthe's celestial mastery prevailed, defeating her mentor in a hard-fought victory and setting the stage for an enthralling tournament ahead.

In the next encounter, Kallias and Penelo took center stage, each showcasing their unique magical styles. Kallias employed the mesmerizing art of paper puppet magics, his dragon familiar throwing fiery displays that dazzled the crowd. Penelo, on the other hand, harnessed the raw power of conjury, commanding the elements with grace and precision without a staff to speak of, impressing onlookers. Up next against Krysanthe was Ryuu. Well known for her explosive blue magicks, she quickly started the match with a torrent of aether. Spells inspired by wildlife and the elemental forces of her hunts erupted from her fingertips, testing Krysanthe's mettle. Despite that, Krysanthe's unwavering resolve proved insurmountable, and she emerged triumphant, reaffirming her place as a force to be reckoned with.

The stage was set for an epic clash of champions as Kallias faced off against the indomitable Krysanthe in the tournament's final showdown. Kallias employed a combination of his signature paper puppet magics and newfound confidence. Krysanthe, undeterred by the formidable opponent before her, summoned her stellar astromancy powers once more. The impressive dragon familiar mastery against the stellar counterattacks, pushing each combatant to the limits of their magical strength. Ink spilled from the belly of the paper familiar on more than one occasion as Kallias fought back with all of him. In the end, Krysanthe's unwavering determination and mastery of the celestial arts proved too formidable for Kallias to overcome. With a resounding display of astromantic power, Krysanthe emerged victorious as the champion of Nightraid's Magical Tournament.

How do wizards get their names? Are they born with a name and add on a title after accomplishing something (Steℱen the Star-Shatterer)? Or do their neighbours call them something after the wizard pulls some shit and it just TAKES?

Usually either through reputation or to make themselves seem just so fucking great. Wizards like collecting epithets and titles (Servant of the Secret Fire, Wielder of the Flame or Arnor, Grandmaster of the Celestial Order of Astromantic Tantrism, etc. etc.) because the longer your name is, the more important or powerful you seem, and in a way, the more powerful you become. But most often you get those because you did something cool or you own something powerful.

Belief really is a very powerful and kind of capricious tool. Surround yourself with wide-eyes adventurers seeking a clue in their quest and do some flashy hocus pocus around them, they’ll think you’re the shit, and you might even think you are too. And BAM presto, you really are the thing.

This is of course just as easily undone, so some chode walking around calling himself Jaxandor, the Starmaster Astrolord of the Nine Deific Powers, when really he just bought some shitty old book from a trader caravan he can barely read, looks like a massive jackass when he stands there intoning baleful chants that do literally nothing.

It’s a delicate balance, to be sure, but such is the slippery walkway between wearing the robes and owning the robes.

Pros:

Beautiful: Eyes of Dalamud crimson. Hair of snow white. Grey skin like ash. Alongside her dancer’s physique and her obvious bosom, Ellie appears almost to be crafted explicitly to catch the eyes of others... 

Fashionable: She loves her red, and she loves good looking gear. A strange eye for fashion allows her to make unique outfits, even if she’s occasionally fine with sticking to a set. 

Empathetic: She is a shoulder to cry on. She might not fully understand what’s wrong or why you’re feeling the way you do, but she does indeed care.

Mage of Many Talents: Need thaumaturgical explosions? Ellie’s your girl. Astromantic predicions? Ellie! Conjury-based healing? Ellie! Arcanima-based body guards? Ellie! A wannabe Crimson Duelist with a few tricks up her sleeves? Ellie!  She may not be a master of these arts, but she certainly has the capacity to utilize multiple magics at will.

Strives for improvement: She constantly works on her faults and problems, and is very much willing to listen to criticism. 

(Villain Pro) Gullible and Open to Suggestion: Should a villain decide they may need Ellie’s assistance, they can play on her insecurities or work with various non-aetheric means of mind control and hypnosis. She’s an easy servant, as a result.

Pro/Con:

Bisexual, Feminine Leaning: Ellie is very attracted to the feminine, taking comfort in similarly soft individuals to herself. Though she does have attraction towards the masculine, her personal experiences serve as a hang up that prevent her from getting too close.

Passionate: Between the ways she treats her partners, family and friends and the way she obsesses over her interests, Ellie is immensely interested and affectionate toward those she cares about. If she likes you, even as a friendly acquaintance, it is made quite clear. This can prove irritating or annoying, depending on how you feel about her interests or how you feel about her proximity.

Awkwardly Easy to Attract: She can have a very difficult time trying to figure out how to best react to someone she is attracted to. This can either be annoying, or be used to the attractor’s advantage. 

Open Heart: It’s very difficult for Ellie to dedicate herself to a single person. However, enjoying love with multiple people is easier for her. 

Absurd Aether: She won’t be left without power for her magic except in particularly stressful situations, but she is very prone to dizziness and illness. That said, she could make for a useful donor or test subject...

Cons:

Mentioning the past: Ellie might have an anxiety attack depending on the topics raised. This is due to past trauma.

Idiot: Despite much of her intellectual and emotional intelligence, she can be a social idiot. And sometimes not be fully aware of the WHY behind emotions.

Physically Weak: She cannot do much in the way of heavy physical activity.

Anxiety Ridden: Even without her trauma, she can be plagued by anxiety, and often sweats the small stuff.  

"I’ve Gotta Help Myself!” All of the strongest and most positive figures in her life have been independent and capable of changing her own destiny. As such, she feels that looking for assistance is a sign of weakness, and struggles to ask for help.

She is immensely fertile, and immensely virile, and her body was meld by the succubus to best take advantage of a particularly honed trait.

Trauma Tainted: Much of her beliefs on intimacy have been... corrupted by how she was treated by both the Amal’jaa and Glysoria. This can be reflected in her occasionally over sexual nature, and a clinginess.

Cursed Brethren: Due to Glysoria’s curse, her daughters are doomed to a similar existence as she; their genetics hand picked to maintain the same levels of aether as Ellie, and for maximum reproductive potential. Glysoria had turned Ellie and her children into cattle to absorb. Though defeated, this curse remains and her children maintain the same intersex nature as their mother/father.
