The first team to destroy all three enemy objectives wins. Two teams battle to pick up a bomb that randomly spawns on the map, and then transport that bomb to one of three enemy control points to destroy it. Also, players cannot spawn on flags, capture times are greatly decreased, and ticket bleed rates are greatly increased. Very similar to Conquest, but with smaller teams, smaller maps, and no vehicles. Similar to Team Deathmatch, except 4 teams of 5 players each battle each other to reach the target score first. Two teams of 10 players face-off to reach the target score of kills in a round. The staple "attack & defend" game mode, where the attackers try to arm and destroy two MCOM stations in each zone, while the defending team defends them. One Commander per team may also participate. The classic Battlefield game mode where teams battle for control of flags on the map, with the team that holds less flags bleeding respawn tickets. Five return from Battlefield 3, with two new modes (Obliteration and Defuse) introduced. There are 7 game modes available at launch.

Recon: This class now has C4 and claymores available to them, as well as throwable motion sensors (last seen in Bad Company 2.) They also have the new ability to adjust sniper scopes to compensate for distance, known as "zeroing".

They also have an increased ability for suppressive fire than the other classes.

Support: On top of ammo packs, C4, and claymores, the support class also has remote controlled mortars available.

Multiplayer games need an option to play with bots not just for longevity, but because given the opportunity, players will optimise the fun out of any game. This is a bigger problem for mp games as it affects other peole's enjoyment of a game when you pull a shotgun out of your ass in a single frame rather than pulling it out normally. Bots do exactly what they're told to do and play the game as it was intended, no single-frame ass-shotgun. Also i like watching them play against each other.

I've been thinking about this while trying to edit the cod bo2's bot behaviour, and i read you can fill servers with bots in battlefield 2042 like the good old days of bf2/2142, so despite the game being bad I'm considering buying it from the current sale.

This is why mp games need bots. If someone is contemplating buying a bad game because of a single feature, that's how you know you need that feature.
