Op de Formule 1-kalender van 2024 stond de Grand Prix van België al, waardoor het in ieder geval duidelijk was dat de race op Spa-Francorchamps volgend jaar nog op de kalender zou staan. Nu blijkt dat de race er nog een jaar bij heeft gekregen van de Formule 1 tot eind 2025. De afgelopen jaren stond de race in België bijna elk jaar wel onder druk. In 2022 werd het contract nog met een jaar verlengd, waardoor de druk er voor 2023 wederom op stond. Toch werd, door middel van het onthullen van de F1-kalender, duidelijk dat niet Zuid-Afrika maar België in 2024 gewoon weer op de kalender stond. Nu is dus bekendgemaakt dat dit in 2025 ook nog het geval zal zijn. Op de korte termijn zorgt dit ervoor dat de race op het historische circuit in de Ardennen een zekerheidje is. Toch valt het vooral op dat, in tegenstelling tot wat andere races krijgen, de contractverlenging niet voor meer dan twee jaar is.
