David Briggs helmed a lot of successes as we have all noticed, though he also had some musicians that could have been among the greatest of their scenes. Kathi McDonald was another case of that. She should've had a better career, I mean, she replaced Janis Joplin in the band the latter fronted. Then again, she was constantly compared to her, which probably didn't do her many favours. For instance, Insane Asylum, her debut, sounds great, but I can understand why she was delegated to the session work. She's incredible, yet the similarity to Joplin – seriously, her voice is so much like Joplin's one find that uncanny – might have done her more harm than good. Sadly, I might add, Insane Asylum shows her to be a ferociously good singer.

JoKen 4 Name Predictions
** I finished this post before the photo of the baby at the restaurant came out on Reddit
Welp, it's that time again. Kendra was seen with a large baby bump at Jeremiah and Hannah's wedding, suggesting she is several months along. She was previously seen at Christmas with no obvious bump. It certainly wasn't there at Christmas so it looks like Joe and Kendra will soon be welcoming their fourth child into the world before their fifth wedding anniversary in September. This baby was probably conceived on or around their forth anniversary so he or she will be due anytime now. I think this baby will be a boy.
Brooklyn's middle name, Praise, really threw me but Kendra said it was "about praising the Lord" in the final ever episode of Counting On. It makes me think of other things they talk about like honouring the Lord, how precious babies are and what a blessing they are. There is a hell of a lot to consider here.
First Name
All the names Kendra has chosen so far have been trendy and cute. I say Kendra because I cannot imagine Joe coming up with any of the names they have chosen. I absolutely adore the names they chose for their daughters, although I'm not entirely sure Brooklyn would suit an old lady.
Joe and Kendra last had a son in 2018, I share a birthday with him and he's exactly 20 years younger than me, and they named him Garrett David. I still think they would honour family members with another son, using a name such as Robert or Matthew. My research found that there is no Garrett in the Bible but it is a Christian name.
I included Bobby as a prediction for a boy but due to recent events I wouldn't bet on it... hello Bobeye/Bobye/Bobbye. I have also included some non-double letter names but at this point I do believe they're doing a double letter theme. Baby 4 will confirm either way. Therefore I am predicting 30 names; 15 for boys, 15 for girls, 15 with double letters and 15 without.
Middle Name
Addison's middle name - Renee - is cute but Brooklyn Praise completely threw me. I believe this earnt her the nickname 'Praise B' on Reddit. I now fully expect Joe and Kendra to use something super out there like Blessing, Honor or Justice, although probably not the latter if they want to stay in Jim Bob's good books.
David was more of a family name with multiple members of the family having it in their names. It is also a very biblical name. I find that a lot of fundies will use more obviously Biblical names for their sons and less Biblical or not Biblical at all names for daughters.

11/22/22: It was 50 years ago this month, November 1972, Joni Mitchell would release her fifth album ‘For the Roses.’ For me Joni just gets better and better during this middle period of her music... this album, though still quiet, is much less spare than the ‘Blue’ predecessor. I mean several of these songs are still just Joni and her piano, but its production has a more ‘grand’ style... makes all of these poetic treats sound very important. Certainly the most famous track gleaned from this record is the single ‘You Turn Me On (I’m a Radio)’ which I’ll treat in its own blog post. However, the album track ‘Barangrill’ is nearly as good, and it seems like the music is only a guitar, cello and a flute, although I’m probably wrong about that... but her voice and the lyrics, very enjoyable. I think if you are a Joni Mitchell fan I would think you would like most of this record... it’s maybe four or five songs too much of the same music, but certainly not words. I like the track ‘Electricity’ and the title track is good too. Almost forgot about her bittersweet song about ex-bf James Taylor and his heroin addiction-- ‘Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire’... probably the most musically complex song on the record, almost jazzy (!). I’ll have to give this one a few more listens to see if I think it’s as good as it’s successor (which will be one of the last albums I’ll review).
