ok but i headcanon Linkara crochets just because the chatacter CANONICALLY likes to have something hes working on with his hands even when hes just chillin (building the cybermats is the most obvious example but we see him hand sewing while talking to nimue in Ghost In The Machine)
and they have a nice neat pattern, that you sort or have to decode but then it provides very clear instructions, i think he'd find that fun and satisfying
also he would make gifts for the entire comicrew. pokemon amigurumi for harvey, mug cozy for eliza (hes still figuring out the logistics but he WILL make her a tiny sweater), toys for the comicats
hes saved the world multiple times, of course you can trust him to go into a Joannes with money dont worry about it

It dawned on me that I did not promote the new Storenvy here! In case you're unaware, I opened up a new Merch store on Storenvy (which you can find HERE) where I am selling several items usually only found when I make convention appearances! This includes symbol pins, Mini Pollos, badge cards, but most impressively: THE ROBOMATS! Yes, those little slug robots that serve as security sentries on Comicron One! I've been 3-D printing them and I've got them in various pride flag colors (along with just metallic silver for the basic one) and I plan on making more Merch like this in the future, including models of Comicron One and Mini Pollos shaped like the new body I'm constructing for him! In the meantime, check 'em out, maybe grab yourself a Robomat for yourself or a loved one (especially better to do it now before mail gets REALLY bad for the holidays) and thank you all for your continued support!

“Pollo?”
“Yes?”
“This is probably not the best time but, since we are trapped here and everything; do you ever… resent me?”
The ‘His Blue Soul’ storyline is much more character driven than the previous ones. AT4W couldn’t realistically keep giving us bigger and bigger threats. Besides, after something as big as the Entity, it’s nice see some more character development.
Don’t get me wrong, this storyline does have an antagonist that is very dangerous and posses a significant threat but not ‘make every universe in the multiverse a part of a glitchy Outer God’ threat. In fact, I almost went with this as the opening quote
“Comicron-One has enough destructive capability to level the Earth. Its sensors were designed to track every variety of life forms it could find. If Mechakara gains control of it, he will kill every living thing he can find. I will not allow that to happen. This is my ship and I will destroy it before I let anything like Mechakara possess it.”
Ultimately, I picked the first one because I felt it was more significant.
Linkara is becoming someone who can see the use that people like Linksano can give and knows what offer to make to win them over. He is also someone who considers what to do if the worst should happen. Linkara makes sure that Linksano knows he’s on a very short chain which is something he himself told Lord Vyce he should have done back in the ‘All That He Sees, He Conquers’ storyline.
However, there are signs that Linkara might take things too far. Yes, Linksano might possibly have betray him, so some sort of threat was needed but threatening to strand him on an ice planet with no one but Lord Vyce for company seems… extreme.
Linksano has never posed a significant threat and, in the past, he’s been distracted by a Junior Science Playset. Lord Vyce can survive on the ice planet because of his suit but Linksano doesn’t have that. Lord Vyce once almost throttled Linksano because Mechakara wasn’t able to kill Linkara even after Linksano improvements. Lord Vyce still thought of Linksano as an ally at that point. Linkara’s threat would have been a death sentence if it was ever carried out.
Then there’s his worry about Pollo. Mechakara was an alternate universe version of Pollo so Linkara wonders if Pollo will ever follow the same dark path. Pollo has always, always been there for Linkara when he can be. He picked Linkara in the first fight against Mechakara, he never flies away to save himself and he always tries to help Linkara even if it’s just by buying Linkara time by letting himself be a target while Linkara finds some way to fight back. Linkara shouldn’t have needed to ask if Pollo would ever end up like Mechakara.
Both the way Linkara threatened Linksano and worried about Pollo could be seen as logical but they are the first signs that his paranoia might one day be a problem.
Pollo, as always, is a hero in this story. He’s loyal, clever and comes to save the day. I love you, you sassy, blue, robot chicken.
During ‘His Blue Soul,’ Linksano moves farther along on his journey from comedy, ineffectual villain to fully trusted member of the Comicrew (yes, I’m using that name for Linkara a co). Though he still has some way to go before you can really call him anything close to trusted or heroic.
Linkara: Oh, and if there’s a radiation leak, don’t be a hero
Linksano: Very little risk of that, I can assure you
Linksano has worked with Linkara before and helped to take down Lord Vyce but this time he’s openly a part of the team. He is a scientific adviser and helps improve security and weapons. However, he isn’t trusted yet and seems to be mainly doing it so he can get to use the holodeck. Still, he did come and try to help when Comicron-One had been invaded. He could have pretended not to get the message or said he was busy but instead he came and put his life on the line.
Lord Vyce continues the trend of hubris that he showed in ‘All That He Sees, He Conquers.’ In that storyline, he was only defeated because he couldn’t stand it when Linkara insulted him and didn’t consider Linkara or anyone else, even working together, to be a threat to him.
In this storyline, ‘His Blue Soul,’ Lord Vyce won’t even think about the fact that the Entity might have been stopped by anyone other than himself and he is dismissive of everyone. To Lord Vyce; Linkara is the ant demanded the wind obeyed its commands, Nimue isn’t a person or worth of respect and trust, and he can only rely on himself in his quest to destroy the Entity at any cost.
This storyline also keeps the fact that Linkara always reviews a comic when he might be about to die going (I mean it is a review show when all is said and done and he has to fit one in there somehow). However, now it’s become more of a joke.
In ‘His Heart Is Steal’ Linkara was tied up and had nothing else to do, in ‘The Other Insano’ Linksano made him review a comic, in ‘All That He Sees, He Conquers’ Linkara was just being a bit of a dick by making everyone else run around preparing for the upcoming fight while he reviewed a comic and in ‘A Piece of the World is Missing’ Linkara was trying to calm himself down while a literal Outer God waited outside the door for him to accept his fate.
In ‘His Blue Soul,’ Linkara starts reviewing comics when he should really be working on a solution to things and refuses to stop when Nimue warns him about a threat. He also starts to get called out on it by other characters. This is what has led to my headcanon that Linkara is both OCD and needs to review comics to deal with the ever-increasing stress and anxiety of the situations he finds himself in.
Want to know my thoughts on the other storylines? Here are links to them which I’ll update each time I give my thoughts on a new completion.
His Soul is Blue
The Other Insano
All That He Sees, He Conquers
A Piece of the World is Missing
His Blue Soul  (you’re already here)
Gun and Sorcery
Ghost of the Machine
The Machinations of Worms
The Sleepwalker (I’ve not done thing one yet)

So, I'm watching a ton of Atop the Fourth Wall stuff and something made me laugh a ton was the line: "When were you planning on telling me I was getting 6 roommates?" Like, yeah. With Comicron One destroyed and the team having to move out of the apartment, everyone would have to stay on Earth and that was all Viga is introduced as: Linkara's Roommate. So, just imagine the whole situation in-universe. She is just looking for someone to split the rent with and this guy applies for it, she does a bit of googling, guy seems okay. He shows up with a floating blue robot, a living foam lizard who hasn't slept in days and is existing purely on coffee at this point, as well as a lounge singer, a mad scientist with spiral goggles that he refuses to take off, and a twenty-something that says stuff like "pogs" just as the ending to a sentence. She is also informed that every now and again, some random demon is gonna manifest and take up a whole bunch of space to review horror comics and that there's also gonna be a space cowboy from another dimension that pops by every now and again with his wife so thats gonna be a thing. I dunno, I just think that the whole idea of having Linkara (the character) as a roommate must have been wild for the first few months.

Orphen 2020 still looks pretty good ((Spoilers))!
Tumblr media
((Hee Hoo dood, prinnyfrost reporting for duty! So...episode 13 of this remake aired earlier and considering how it looked, I’m willing to believe they ended the first season, which strike me as odd since the first season of the original anime was 10 episodes longer, but whatever. Now I think it’s a good time to give my thoughts about how I feel about everything thus far. Well, as you can tell from the title of the post, I like it, but just by how much though is the question here.
Tumblr media
First, let’s go over the plot. I already mentioned part of this in one of my previous posts, but to sum up, Orphen leaves the Tower of Fang in order to find Azalie and years later, he meets Cleo, Majic, and others and eventually discovers that Azalie switched bodies with his former mentor, Childman Powderfield, using white magic. Orphen and Azalie duel, with Orphen winning and he tells her to beat it. It’s basically the same as how it was in the original manga, In the original anime; however Azalie didn’t switch bodies with Childman until much later on as she was being hunted down and looking for a way to turn back to normal. Not only that but after Orphen saved her, she pretty much went on a boat journey on her own, never to be heard from again since she wasn’t in the second season. Another difference is that most of the episodes in the original anime was Orphen and company traveling around and exploring different places as they were hunting down the Sword of Baltanders after Volcan and Dortin took it and looking for a way to help Azalie. In the remake, we only get a few episodes of them in a village worshiping the Deep Dragons and then we’re in the Tower of Fang for the remainder of the season. It’s likely we’re going to see other places later on, but it’s clear the original anime gave us more variety to see the world in one season in the remake. To be fair, as I said before, the original had more episodes in one season to work with and the remake is supposed to be more based on the original manga, so it does make some sense on why it turned out this way.
Tumblr media
I also do appreciate them giving more of Orphen’s backstory in his class and showing us his bond with his former classmates, unlike in the original where it was mainly him, Childman, Azalie, and Hartia. They also showed more of Orphen’s skills with hand to hand combat as the students at the academy are also trained assassins (or at least some of them are). In the original anime I only recall one flashback where it’s brought up and it’s when Orphen was training with Azalie and she flipped him. My brother even pointed out that the remake did a better job than the original about how Orphen got his title as “stabber”.
Tumblr media
I mean look at this shit. That’s not to say the original didn’t have good fight scenes in it, like Orphen’s battle with Hartia in the original show, but the remake did do a better job in exploring the hand to hand combat areas of the show. Heck someone could argue that they also did a better job at exploring the spells too. Not because of how they work but showing off the variety.
Tumblr media
In one of the flashback episodes, Azalie was trying to see if she could use music to create spells, but end up destroying every instrument she used after failing.
Tumblr media
I can’t be the only one who thought of Mar from the Orphen video game after hearing that, at least I hope not. Now that I think about it, Sephy also uses spells differently from other sorcerers too. Instead of voice magic, she using dancing. I’m not saying that Mar and Sephy would make it in the show later on, though that would be cool to see. I am willing to believe that the ways they used magic would be explored further later on in the remake.
Tumblr media
Remember the “dragons” I mentioned before in a previous post? The ones that stole their powers from deities? I believe that each one represents a different version of how spells are used. The show has already shown that human sorcerers (the descendants of the Celestials) use voice magic and that deep dragons (like Cleo’s pet Leki) relies on sight. So it wouldn’t be unreasonable to believe that 2 of the other “dragons” shown here would have their powers based on sound and dance. It’s far too soon to theorize which ones would be the case (unless if Matpat proves me wrong or something), but I’m sure we’ll figure it out soon enough. Finally, let’s go over the characters.
Tumblr media
I think Orphen himself is pretty much the same as before, a guy that comes off as an asshole, but is a pretty cool guy when you get to know him and don’t piss him off. My brother has mentioned that he’s less maniacal than before but I’m not too sure. I WILL say that it’s funny to hear his voice actor (David Matranga) say the names of the spells in the show despite him saying he refuses to do so in one of the outtakes of the original anime.
Tumblr media
And pfft, you guys already know how I feel about the new Cleo compared to the original. In fact, I think this one makes more sense as the previous one was a selfish spoiled annoying brat, while this one loves having guests over to liven up the place and travels with Orphen not just to help but also she’s legitimately curious about the world and wants to see new people. The only downside is that her cooking still sucks and we haven’t gotten a chance to see her fight much yet, which is a shame since in the remake manga, we see her go toe to toe with Hartia. Hopefully this would be remedied in the future.
Tumblr media
Majic I have mixed feelings for. In the original, he’s known for being pretty much a coward despite having talent as a sorcerer.
Tumblr media
Basically the series’s version of Almaz from Disgaea. In the remake though, he’s much more confident in himself and it’s already shown that he could indeed surpass Orphen and maybe even Azalie at some point. On one hand, this is nice as we get to see him involved more and actually show his capabilities. On the other hand, I would’ve personally preferred that he started off as a coward and then slowly progress more and more has his skills improve, again, like Almaz. That’s just me though. I will admit, I do like his new outfit though.
Tumblr media
Leki I also have mixed feelings about. While Cleo basically randomly finding Leki and taking him, thus getting involved with his parent and end up saving everyone is pretty much the same as before, this version of Leki isn’t really quite as expressive as before. I mean, he’s still cute and show’s his fondness for Cleo as shown in one of the episodes where Cleo was knocked out and he rubbed Orphen’s leg asking him to help her. Not to mention, he does have more of a variety of spells here unlike in the original where he basically blows stuff up on command like he’s Koromaru from Persona. But Leki in the original showed more reactions and expressions to the world around him, like the time he got lost after chasing a butterfly (at least I think it was a butterfly.).
Tumblr media
Hartia barely got any screen time in this season aside for some flashbacks. He only appeared a few times when everyone was dealing with the Bloody August and then they just reported him as someone scouting the area. Seriously, we don’t even get to see him in his Black Tiger costume despite the remake Manga having it in the very first issue no less. Once again, hopefully this will be remedied in the future.
Tumblr media
There’s also a few characters that weren’t introduced in the original anime like this woman here. She’s a member of the royal police department that’s hunting down Volcan and Dortin (who are wanted criminals). She tries to tranquilize them with darts, but ends up missing. I can’t help but wonder if she’ll be in future episodes hunting them down and trying to bring them to justice. Granted, Volcan and Dortin did go to jail until Hartia (Cleo in the manga) bail them out, but Volcan’s pretty much like Eddy from Ed Edd ‘n Eddy. He’s bound to come up with another scam at some point.
Tumblr media
Then there are Orphen’s other classmates like Comicron (wait, isn’t that the name of Linkara’s ship?) who is shown to be more focused on making robots and other stuff than his spells, despite repeated failures resulting everyone to clean up afterwards. Even Orphen had to smash one of the robots with a bat before it could do any damage. Unfortunately he died within the first few episodes, so unless if he gets revived somehow, we’re only going to keep seeing him again in flashbacks. Also, raise your hand if you thought he was a girl at first by looking at him.
Tumblr media
Forte was pretty much the loner of the class, often spending time doing his own studies instead of getting involved too much with the rest of the class. Considering he has his own class now in the Tower of Fang, and Majic is registered to be in his class once he starts attending (which I find interesting because last I checked, in the original anime, Majic was in Hartia’s class. I wonder how Eris is going to feel about that if they include her in the remake.), it makes me wonder if he was preparing to take over Childman’s class in secret in case something went wrong. He already knows Azalie’s secret as shown in the last episode, and judging by Orphen’s reaction to him knowing, Forte knew about it at least for a while.
Tumblr media
Then there’s Leticia (or Tish for short) who, even though she wasn’t in the original anime (at least, I don’t think she was) I do recall appearing in the original manga.
Tumblr media
She grew up with Orphen and Azalie in the same orphanage and three of them developed a sibling bond together over the years, though unlike Orphen, Azalie and Leticia are related to each other by blood.
Tumblr media
However, like the Squid Sisters from Splatoon, they’re actually cousins, which makes me wonder how their families end up dying or missing. Also, it’s kind of funny to me to picture Azalie as Callie, Leticia as Marie and Orphen as Agent 4.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Azalie, I am curious on how they’re going to treat her in this version. In both the original anime and in the manga, she had an obsession for power, wanting to become a woman worthy of Childman’s recognition.
Tumblr media
In the anime, this was because she actually fell in love with Childman and even confessed her feelings for him, but her turned her down because, well, she’s his student. Since then, she devoted herself to becoming more and more powerful, letting it corrupt her mind until the end of the first season.
Tumblr media
In the manga, she was still trying to impress Childman and her obsession for power drove her insane, but whether or not it was because she loved him wasn’t exactly clear. Granted, I haven’t read all of the original manga, but I did hear that she was basically the antagonist of the series and had a “kill or be killed” mindset.
Tumblr media
In a way, you could pretty much consider her this series’s version of Vergil from Devil May Cry, a character willing to go all the way to become the strongest despite the means, while Orphen is trying to show her the errors of that, even if it means fighting her.
Tumblr media
Now we have the remake version where her motives aren’t exactly clear yet. Even though she did use a killing doll (weapons designed to specially kill sorcerers) to make a young version of Orphen in order to test him (like she did in the original manga), she pointed out that it didn’t go as planned since the doll grew a mind of its own. In fact it looks like Azalie knew what happened with Childman was a mistake and is trying to make up for it, but she can’t let many people know the truth since Childman being missing is causing a power struggle in the Tower of Fang, like what happened in the Netherworld after Krichevskoy died.
Tumblr media
In the preview of the next episode (or later on in the new season), Azalie is heading off to see if she can find out Childman’s true intentions, but what she plans to do after discovering it remains a mystery, so that’ll be interesting to see. All in all, pretty decent stuff so far and if it really is the end of the first season then, here’s to looking forward to the next season...whenever it comes out.))

You ask Nimue how everything is going.
"Information: Systems on Comicron 1 are at optimal capacity.
“One notice for apartment systems: the terminal in the locked room requires manual repair."
"How about everyone else? Are they alright?"
"Information: Nearly all units are safe and accounted for. This unit is unable to confirm Harvey Finevoice's status at this time."
That sounds worrying. “Why’s that?” You ask.
"Information: Harvey Finevoice has entered an area that this unit is unable to scan. No further information at this time.

Linkara wraps up a conversation with an unseen Lt. Munroe, thanking him for some unseen help. Linksano confirms that he’s expanded Comicron One’s transporter buffer to be able to hold a hundred separate objects, intended for an expanded arsenal for Linkara, in case he meets the Entity while he’s trying to hijack Comicron Two.
The satellites in Earth’s orbit spark to life and fire beams of green energy into a single point in space, creating the pocket dimension trap for the Entity. Linkara beams onto Comicron Two’s bridge and quietly moves to the command console, where he lays in coordinates for the trap. Comicron Two moves away from Comicron One and onto its new course.
Linkara starts to signal his crew to beam him away, but the Entity appears behind him. Linkara takes this opportunity to ask the Entity why it’s come back from its apparent death--but the being reveals it is a fragment of the Entity that it left behind in this world, as a means to potentially return.
With that, the fragment halts Comicron Two in its path and turns it to face the other ship. Linksano detects that Comicron Two is charging weapons, and Vyce orders him to fire at the opposing ship’s weapons systems and engines. The ships trade volleys of fire, but even with Vyce’s impressive new weapons, the Entity is able to use its unearthly reality-warping powers to instantly repair damage to Comicron Two, and even bypass Comicron One’s temporal shields to seriously damage the vessel.
Back on Comicron Two, the Entity invites Linkara to make his next “move”, and Linkara attacks, but none of his weapons have an effect. The battle continues outside, and Vyce opens the security channels on Comicron Two so he can see how Linkara’s fight is going.
The fragment taunts Linkara and boasts of its domination of him; even when it had full control of him, it says, Linkara “could do nothing but sleepwalk”.
Linkara remembers. Dozens of different conversations from the past two years come back to him, both with the hidden Entity and with others, and one idea keeps plucking at his consciousness: “playing a game”.
Linkara slowly lowers his gun, and surrenders, conceding their “game”. The fragment is first baffled, then outraged as it demands that Linkara continue to play. It threatens to absorb Linkara and his world, but he calls its bluff; it hasn’t absorbed the Earth yet, not because it can’t, but because it doesn’t want to. Linkara made it aware of the futility of its existence, and now it exists for this game, putting off the day when it will have to confront its true nature for good.
The Entity’s eerie composure breaks. It becomes more and more frantic, saying that the rest of it has not returned from the journey into death. It still has no answer to the question Linkara posed to it six years ago. If its existence is futile, and the world after death is truly unknown, then it has nothing... and it is terrified.
The fragment cannot comprehend the fear and feelings of insignificance that assail it so. It demands purpose from Linkara, a way to matter. Linkara suggests that the Entity become human, but it angrily refuses; it has possessed all forms of mortal life, it says, and they are nothing compared to it. It will not abandon its desires for superiority and dominance over the living. But it’s still at the same place; terrified of irrelevance, of the reality of its lessened being.
The fragment’s static-snowed eyes start to darken. It wonders if the rest of it has found the answers it sought.  Despite everything, Linkara offers it comfort in its final moments, saying that he believes that there is something beyond this life.
The fragment’s form begins to break up. “Is this--” it says, and then it fades into static, and then nothing.
Vyce watches from his seat on Comicron-One’s bridge... then declares that this must be another trick from the Entity. He increases power to the singularity generator, locks Nimue out from control of the ship, and strikes 90s Kid to the ground when he tries to intervene.
The portal to the pocket dimension swells into a full-on singularity--one that will soon engulf the Earth.

Ya know, when I have the money, I swear I’m gonna get Linkara’s patreon spot and get him to look at one of my favourite episodes of Blake’s 7. Probably Gambit, for reasons that are obvious to anyone who’s ever seen Gambit :D
Storyline stuff under the cut!
I didn’t do last week, so let me say this now - I love Vyce and 90s Kid as being bros now. I love this. Please let Vyce be the new Linksano. Also, Comicron 1! Fucking yes! I love that ship to pieces.
Linkara is free! Ish. I love the glitchy effects, as ever, and these were really well done. Also his disbelief at seeing Comicron 1 made me a wee bit sad, ngl.
Erin is giving no fucks today, is she? Atta girl. She’s a badass and three quarters and I love her. (But is Margaret okay? That’s what I wanna know)
I hope there’s gonna be a lot of apologies from Linkara to the others. Even if some of the stuff he did wasn’t his fault, he still owes 90s Kid at least a few words of ‘yeah sorry for being a colossal bag of dicks mate’

Are you going to build a filming model for Comicron One? I know you favor models over CGI.
Unfortunately, practical effects in this case are just not practical - I'm not exactly ILM with my abilities. While I could certainly MAKE a filming model and do some neat stuff with it, realistically given the tools necessary for ship effects, it just doesn't make sense to try to use a practical model for it (at least not on the regular). And even then, I don't mind CGI used for stuff like ships - spaceships are already in the realm of the mostly unreal and you have a lot more freedom of movement and action with CGI than you do with models, which can often be painstaking work for some shots. It's certainly impressive to do so and all the praise in the world should go to it, but poorly-integrated CGI is less of an issue with spaceships than it is, for say, CGI blood or something.

Beneath the seas, besides the flame, Off the coast where the lost beast came, To bring the world misery and shame, A piece of the world is missing.
The path you should have never crossed, The Beast exacts a heavy cost, The number of the Beast is lost, You will know it by its hissing.
The bones from hell you cannot tame, Devour your life and all your fame, That is the price to play its game, And all while you’re reminiscing.
And now for something completely different.
Until the ‘A Piece of the World is Missing’ storyline, Linkara had always been able to defeat the ‘big bad’ of a story arc through fighting. Oh sure, he didn’t always win and sometimes there were phycological attacks to overcome first but in the end, Linkara could always prevail with a little help from his friends.
That all went out of the window with ‘A Piece of the World is Missing.’ Something started making people disappear and Linkara’s list of allies started getting shorter. However, even if Linkara and the whole gang had been there to face the Entity at the end, they still wouldn’t have won because some things can’t be beaten with force no matter how big or magical your gun is. When you are facing an Outer God that has absorbed whole universes and plans to make all of reality a part of itself, you really don’t stand a chance.
I’m glad that this storyline wasn’t fixed through a big silly Power Rangers like fight at the end (though they are enjoyable). It wouldn’t have made sense and would have diminished the threat that the Entity represented.
The Entity knew that Linkara was never a danger. It was happy to let him work that out and feel scared and depressed before excepting his situation because there was no choice. It played with played with Linkara, like a cat with a mouse, except that the mouse sometimes escapes and Linkara would never have stood a chance of even that.
“Welc͠o̕me ͏ba̛c͘k, ẖ͙̖̿ͣͯ͂̍̈́̕u̥̗̳̙̣̖͌ͤͫ͂̊́͝u̺̠͚̱̻͉̗̦ͬͦͭ͋̒̃̐̏ư̹̼̝͔̺͈̱͌͛͗̂̈̏́ư̺͇̗ͧ̔̋͝m̧̖̮̺̗̱͎̭̻̊ͦ̂ͮͩ̊̋͊̕a̬̲̖͕͇ͯ̾̄ͅṅ̀̌̓͛͑͗̊͏̶̺̬͉̙̳͍̥͡. I͢s t͞h͟is̴ ͘ţhe͘ pa̧r͝t w͜heŕe̵ ̧you ̴f̢i͜g͡h̷t̛ m̴e̢?”
“No, no there’s really nothing for me to do. I could shoot you with increasingly larger guns but it wouldn’t work. I could pull some exciting new morpher out of my pants and hope that it would give me the power to defeat you but we both know that that wouldn’t work either.”
“No͝,͜ it̛ ̶wo̵uld n͟o̶t.͟”
‘A Piece of the World is Missing’ was the first introduction to the Technumina. The Technumina is a pantheon of Outer Gods, Lovecraftian monstrosities that are all based in some way on technology with the Entity being a glitch in reality itself.
This is the first storyline which I watched from the beginning as it started coming out. I loved every minute of it. If you’ve never watched the show and you’re watching this video, while you’ll probably enjoy it, you’ll miss half the fun. The fandom had a great time trying to work out what the Entity was and a lot of people succeeded.
Since 90’s Kid (now 90’s Dude) had interrupted episodes plenty of times before (those interruptions haven’t made it into these completions cos they aren’t part of the storyline), at first, we didn’t realise that those new ones were anything out of the ordinary. Later in the storyline, we did start to realise something might be wrong with 90’s Kid but it was a slowly growing list of clues which tipped people off.
This storyline came out when Linkara was on his old website and didn’t have YouTube videos. Linkara used to approve all comments before letting them go through and some fans took advantage of the fact that he had anon comments to pretend to be the Entity in the comments section. I’ll always love the fact that Linkara just went with it. After the storyline had been completed, he admitted that he hadn’t had anything to do with writing those comments but he wished he’d thought of it first.
Who knew that Pokémon could be so terrifying? Apart from anyone who’s actually read some of the more horrifying Pokédex entries that is (looking at you Yamask).

Regarding the new Pollo model you’re 3D-printing. Is it a new design entirely, or is it an update to the current model? Also, will it be the same lighter shade of blue that it is now, or a deeper shade like earlier models?
The plan is to have several features of the current design incorporated in - in particular the flip-down gun from the center panel, the arms that move up and down, the moveable head, and the lighted eye, though a few of the design elements are going back to the original model - the hoverskirt, the square head shape, etc. We're keeping a lighter shade of blue, as well - I found a shiny silk blue that I really like, though we'll see in practice how it goes when trying to print it (I've had bad luck with silk PLA in the past). Since I mostly put these on Twitter when I was more actively working on them (I shifted my focus to the Comicron One model since I hope to make money off of it), I never put them on Twitter. Here was the last progress on it. The picture in the middle is the mechanism for the neck and attaching the head to it (did a test print of it and it went pretty well).

“There are forces in the multiverse far beyond anything you’ve ever dealt with. Ancient, mindless evils that fill in the cracks and eat dimensions just for a snack. Monstrous deities and empires spanning universe after universe have risen and fallen in the span of forever! But there is still one individual, one being that they are all horrified of! When I saw him coming near my universe, I fled. Weep for your universe, Linkara! Weep for all universes! For Lord Vyce is coming! And all that he sees, he conquers!”
The ‘All That He Sees, He Conquers’ storyline will always hold a soft spot in my heart. It’s the one that was happening when I first started watching the show. Care Bears #13 1:10:32 is the first episode I ever watched. I wanted context on the storyline so I went back and watch ever previous episode to get it (this was before the episodes where on YouTube and there were helpful playlists with storyline episodes).
‘All That He Sees, He Conquers’ is the storyline where things started getting more serious. Lord Vyce is treated as a legitimate threat from the beginning. The things Linkara go through started having an effect on him and he could no longer always shrug them off with a smile in the next episode. The side characters got a lot more fleshed out and Linkara’s team stared to feel more like a family.
While I had been enjoying AT4W and its storyline as I binge watched it, it wasn’t until the side storyline in Silent Hill (28:30-49:47) that I went I realised how good an actor Linkara could be. This wasn’t just fun and silly where everything would turn out alright in the end. There were stakes here and they were high. It’s still legitimately emotional to watch even after all this time. Learning about the origins of Linkara’s Magic Gun and watching how it tore Linkara apart from the inside was a masterful piece of storytelling which was just amazingly acted out. I still always rewatch this Silent Hill three parter around Halloween each year.
This is also the storyline where it became clear Linkara was now doing long term story arc planning. True, the first storyline had a sequel bait and an unanswered question in the last episode and the second storyline mentioned Vyce. However, in ‘All That He Sees, He Conquers,’ the first hints about the Entity (who becomes the next big bad) were much subtler than anything that had come before. They were slowly built on and sprinkeled throughout this storyline making it seen more planned and natural.
All this isn’t to say that this storyline didn’t have its lighter moments too. It did and I love them.
“My god, it’s the Vorsoth! And it’s very poorly animated!”

The Contest of Champions Begins
Summary: Everyone gets ready to watch the first round of the Contest of Champions.
Word Count: 627
A/N: A short birthday fic for @drudenstein
Newt, Ich wünsche dir einen herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag und alles Liebe und Gute und ganz viel Gesundheit und Spaß. Lass dich schön feiern.
“DUDES! I made popcorn! Anyone want some?” 90’s Dude announced as he entered Comicron-One’s bridge carrying a large bowl of the confectionery. The bridge had been turned into a makeshift cinema in preparation for watching Linkara’s first round in the Contest of Champions.
Everyone else was already in their seats. The Temlins were still giving background information about the different champions to their multiverse audience.
“Salt or sugar?” Linksano asked.
“Butterscotch.”
Linksano shrugged and grabbed a handful, “Thanks.”
“I’ll have some, please,” Jaeris said and 90’s Dude handed him the bowl.
“Sure thing, just pass it along the line so everyone can help themselves.”
90’s Dude sat down. Eliza stuck her head out from under his chair. “Want to sit on my knee?” he asked her. “You’ll get a better view up here.”
“Thanks,” she said scurrying quickly up the leg of his chair and then settling on its arm, “but if you don’t mind, I’m more comfortable here.”
“No problemo, little dude,” 90’s Dude told her.
Sat to 90’s Dude’s left, Allen was already wondering how he was going document this to the satisfaction of his higher ups. If Linkara somehow ended up winning the contest and getting his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet, Allen was sure the American government would want to confiscate it. He could already feel a headache starting but he tried to ignore it and enjoy the contest.
“I bet you $5 that Linkara crashes out in the first round,” Linksano said.
“You know, if you want, I can hook you up with some interdimensional bookies,” Jaeris told him. “You could make a fortune betting on how the different champions will do.”
“Really?” Linksano asked gleefully.
“Hey, cut it out, Goggles,” Harvey warned. “The kid’s gonna do great. Your just still sore, he didn’t ask you about the contest before contactin’ ol’ long hair.”
“Well, I have seen as much of the multiverse as Jaeris,” Linksano mutter sourly. “No offence to you, Jaeris, but I live in the same house as him and he didn’t even think to ask me.” He put on a silly voice as he imitated Linkara, “‘Let’s get Jaeris to make another universe hop rather than asking the brilliant scientist who I employ and who also happens to have travelled from universe to universe.’”
Boffo waved at Linksano to get his attention before making a series of short and long beeps on his horn .---- ----- / -.. --- .-.. .-.. .- .-. ... / .... . / -- .- -.- . ... / .. - / - --- / .- - / .-.. . .- ... - / .-. --- ..- -. -.. / - .... .-. . .
“For the last time I don’t speak clown!” Linksano told him exasperatedly.
The Ninja Style Dance held up his large sheet of psychic paper,
He says, “$10 he makes it to at least round three.”
Everyone stared at him and the small part of his face that could actually be seen turned slightly red. The words on the paper changed.
None of the rest of you understand Morse Code?
The humans all shook their heads.
“I do,” Pollo told them.
“This unite is capable of understanding all forms of communication,” Nimue informed them.
Linksano grinned at Boffo, “You’re on.”
“Everyone shut up,” 90’s Dude called. “It’s about to start.”
Everyone fell quiet as, on the screen, Linkara sat down in a large black leather chair. A Tamlin hovered a short way in front of him.
“And your name is?” the Tamlin asked, for the benefit of the watch audience.
“Linkara.”
“Occupation?”
“Comic book reviewer.”
“And your specialist subject?”
“Star Trek Deep Space Nine.”
“In two minutes try to answer as many questions as you can correctly, starting now…”

Thoughts on the latest AT4W episode
WORTH THE WAIT!
It’s nice to know that Linkara stayed in contact with Lieutenant Munro. I wonder what he thinks about Linkara teaming up with Lord Vyce.
Oh Linksano, you are a gem. I would ask if, in your birth universe, you wouldn’t be considered a nerd but I’ve watch the Party Mania review. It’s basically the pot calling the kettle black whenever Linksano calls someone a nerd.
I love how people always point out how strange it is that Linkara reviews bad comics when the world is probably going to end or he’s probably going to die. I still headcanon that he has OCD and anxiety and his way of staying calm in bad situations is to review a comic.
The Entity kept the bridge of Comicron Two looking like Linkara’s apartment and there is a Mimikyu plushy in the background. I wonder if the Entity put it there.
“S̸o ̧ni̵ce̢ ̴t͝o see y͢ou ̀ag̢a͏i̧n, h̭̖̲͕͝ͅų̝̩̰͔̗̩̤͈͔u̻̱͖̗͙̼͜ͅum̼͙̪̱̘͔͢a͉͉̼̲̘̹͍̳̕a̶̤̞͈͚̖̟̖̜̼͟͞à̬̼̫̲͇̟͍̀͡a̡͈͔͜ąa̖̘̩͖͔̙̮à̸̡̮a̧͍̣͚a̶̹͟͝a̜̮̖͘a̛̖̲̹̝̝͉͉͞ͅn͉͎̖͙͖͎͍̲͞͝ͅ.”
“Dear lord, it’s creepy when you do that!”
“I k͠no͟w.”
Oh good. I’m glad that Lewis didn’t completely the victory that Linkara had against the Entity the first time around. Linkara was right about the Entity killing itself, Lord Vyce was right about it still being around and I was right about a part of the Entity being around (granted, I was thinking more along the lines of parts of its dead body, which still had the power to warp the world). We were all right! At least up to a point.
The Entity calls the King of Worms the Craven King. Man, I bet Technumina family reunions are awkward.
Okay, the moment when the Entity stopped Comicron Two dead still in space was creepy as all hell.
A space battle? HELL YES! Also, another reason not to destroy Comicron Two yet is because Linkara is still on board. You are a jerk Lord Vyce, just saying.
“Well, we’re boned.”
One of the things I found really creepy about the Entity the first time around was that it was willing to let Linkara wail on it for a while. It knew nothing Linkara did could physically hurt it and was happy to let Linkara try until he recognised the truth. It’s still creepy now.
Thank you Pollo. Yes, let’s find a way to help Linkara rather than shooting a ship that keeps repairing itself.
Who has two thumbs and predicted that the Entity was playing a new game which it didn’t want to end? This guy!
Okay, so I was sure that the Entity was playing a new game but I didn’t realise that the reason was because it was terrified of a pointless existence so it was playing games to avoid thinking about it. That’s dark. That’s really fucking dark and the comes after the last Entity storyline ended with Linkara convincing it to commit suicide.
I was not expecting to feel sorry for the Entity but here I am. Oh, it’s still scary and unimageable powerful but that doesn’t stop it being terrified of eternity. Even as a child, I thought immortality was terrifying. This reminds me of a story I once read about the Greek pantheon of Gods, they were fascinated by us humans. We are so tiny and insignificant, here for a moment and dead the next but our lives are like a bright flame and in some ways, that is so much more special than going on for eternity.
The Entity just begged Linkara to give it a purpose. Yep, I feel bad for it. Poor thing. Linkara made it realise that its original purpose was pointless and since then, the part of itself that didn’t die, hasn’t been able to find a new one that feels worth anything.
Linkara clearly feels bad for the Entity too. I think he was offering a genuine suggestion when he told the Entity that it could make itself human. Unfortunately, that’s not a solution that the Entity could live with taking.
This isn’t Star Trek’s Q getting board of being all powerful and wanting to become a crew member of the Enterprise. This is an outer god that is suicide and scared of death at the same time. The Entity can’t bear to live without meaning, is afraid of the nothingness of nonexistence and hates the idea of being less that it already is (which is way more powerful than us mortals).
I don’t think any of us expected this storyline to get to a point where Linkara was offering the Entity comfort before it died. God, I love this show.
OKAY, LORD VYCE YOU’VE GONE TOO FAR! Trying to destroy the Entity (even though it’s already dead) and being willing to sacrifice the Earth to do it is one thing, punching 90’s Kid is quite another! He trusted you! He knew that the Entity was dangerous so he went to work with you and this is how you treat him? I just want my baby to be happy!
You know, all those people who thought that Lord Vyce would one day become like the Entity were right. He is now a being made of living data, who causes untold damage in the name of a goal he believes in.
Even if Lord Vyce manages to destroy the Earth he won’t stop. He’d start absorbing whole universes into the singularity and destroying them in the name of killing the Entity. Lord Vyce will never believe that the Entity is dead. He can’t because then what would be the point of him? He is just as afraid of not having a purpose as the Entity was.
